@@NekoValtz i have changed it to a relentless rats deck which has been prettyfun with jon gifting them around as well as still keeping some pretty bad creatures in.
Why doesn't Jon Ireniclus run Thoracle? It doesn't have any stax to stop it and only gains by running it. Sure it's kind of boring but it is supposed to be Cedh
Most people complain about thoracle wins everywhere online, so when we can, we try to take it out of the decklists, if somehow the commander prompts an interesting different strategy other than being generic value to achieve Thoracle wins. In this list specifically David wanted to try out a different approach and decided to let Thoracle out, but for any other purpose we would recommend running it if you can.

I changed my Anje deck into Evelyn, been very happy with the addition of blue to help force through my WGD

Leite had an answer to Baal. If he cast big game hunter for it's madness cost he could have killed tivit and Baal didn't have the mana to recast.

Jon Irenicus's ability isn't a may ability, meaning David would've had to give away opposition agent or jon himself on turn 3
Correct, it isn't a "may" ability. But it let's me choose "up to one" target creature, so I choose zero creatures to give my opponent!
