This morning the Shorts were able to push Nio's morning rise to $6.05 with ease and then pushed it back down to $5.35 within minutes. I assume that the Shorts bets are for Nio to remain under $6.00 for their current bet timeframe. I was relieved that buyers were able to raise the price like that but at the same time, it seems the Shorts can still impact share pricing at will. Must Nio be profitable to break this vicious cycle?
I watched a car analyst's video who reviewed the L60 in person and said the exterior design was compromised to have more space inside of the car. He said he loved the backend but did not like the front of the car. It is definitely not the most beautiful car but it is not ugly either.
The success of this ev is actually the final test of William Li ability.....so much time, research and effort has gone into this project, it would be inexcusable...
I liked the new model I think it is a stepping in the right direction of style the front looks a little like zeeker which looks great. I like the Lamborghini SUV and the bigger Porsche if you get closer to this look on higher end homerun and control cost nios got the world!

Li believe the long run all Chinese made EV will join Nio battery swap networks because of superior technology. Nio the little known EV company will be the world largest automobile energy supplier. Imagine when Nio market cap hit $100B, all Shell gas station will have Nio chargers and battery swap stations.
It is important, but the drag coefficient is only part of the equation and it doesn’t probably give even 5% more range compared to average drag coefficient of the class. Frontal area and weight matter as well, and driving slower speeds in city or backroads drag is not as important as on highways.
Nonsense. Drag only applies in a meaningful way if you are going over 120 MPH . 99% of owner/drivers will be doing 65mph or less. It has no effect on the range. I agree with Mr Odd. Definitely should have made the “look” appeal priority.

Maybe this is a good think, because I think it looks better from the back! The only negative thing I've seen about the look is the sides of the car bonnett! I hope the marketing can increase, because looking at the amount of coverage on the web today, it's very slack, and needs more of a kicker/boost. Again, maybe its related to timing.
Deliveries are helping but I believe the run up on the stock price for all the Chinese stocks was due to optimism around Chinese economy. The deliveries matter but I think the market sentiment has shifted and took as from the bearish hold pattern. These new tariffs could be problematic as it will cool Chinese economy that needs to export to get itself out of the slump, which could indirectly impact Chinese EV companies. Chinese EVs were all down today - not because to OnVO launch but institutional holders and shorts coming to their senses after large short covering of MEME stocks yesterday. I think today's stock action on NIO is indicative of the sentiment in the company that it has to prove itself to be profitable and improve cash flow generation. Hopefully, we can get L60 preorders to see where this is trending relative to other new vehicle launches. Waiting patiently for quarterly results in June.

Sell the news. I’m Nio-critical, but even I managed to lose on Nio 10% today. First and probably last time I invested on Nio. I thought Onvo launch would create hype for the stock, but I guess the hype happened on previous days and today the big players took their profits out early. I was prepared to do the same, but it went down too fast for me. I don’t think the car itself was a problem, but I guess it wasn’t a positive surprise either. The main problem I see is the profitability. Onvo will probably sell very well, but can Nio make profit on it and the battery swaps? It is possible the competition is just too fierce to profit at those price levels. Next few years Chinese car market will be a bloodbath of which only the best will survive and there is no guarantee Nio is one of them. But whoever wins the auto war in China, will probably take over the world next.
They could still be proud of the NIO brand even with a cheaper ET5. Audi also has the A3, BMW the 1 series etc. And they invested so much in the NIO brand, including houses etc. Now they start over at zero with Onvo and go in the shark tank of BYD and Tesla. Doesnt make any sense
I think they are both quite plain. I would probably choose Onvo because its design is new compared to years old Y. Onvo is good looking enough, but I don’t think anyone falls in love with its looks.
