My 4 year old son has sleeping issues because of his autism and he absolutely loves your videos! Every day at nap time, "Mommy I wanna listen to the whisper lady!" Hes had trouble with sleep for years and Maria has really helped :) It also helps to calm him down during a meltdown. Maria you are a gift.

This was the very first ASMR video I watched. I was struggling in 2016 with complex PTSD. I was dealing with daily panic attacks, paranoia, and an eating disorder. I was struggling to find anything to calm me down. This video popped up, and I clicked it looking for some type of relief from the pain I was experiencing. This video helped to ground me, and make me feel comforted. It introduced me to the world of ASMR, which was a huge help for me in 2016. I watch ASMR now, more so for the enjoyment I get out of it, but I can genuinely say, you helped me in one of the darkest times in my life. This is my first time returning to this video since then, and I can see now why it was so helpful for me. You are so calming, reassuring, and beautiful. Thank you for creating such positive content. You've made a difference in my life.

For those of you new to asmr. You now walk in the court of the queen. The whole community knows Maria by name as she alone has pushed asmr to the Pinnacle it is now. This is mother-infant bonding. A natural motherly instinct during the first year of life. See child psychology and studies about parent-infant attachment. Some people never receive this calming assurance resulting in traumatic or chaotic childhoods. This allows any person to receive this perceived love, assurance and emotional connection without any risk of rejection by either party. If the goal is to help bring peace and wholeness into the hearts of people, this is a wonderful thing.

I agree, the first few years of your life are driven by your Mother. You learn trust, love, and peace and if you are deprived of this either your Mother didn't give it, or was taken from you, it causes permanent emotional damage. It isnt to say if you have a great Mother that you will be fine, but like you said its a vital part of your development. Your Father is equally important (which society has been trying to destroy for awhile now) for other aspects like strength/safety/advice/etc.

I don’t ever want Maria to be sad !! It makes me upset to think that she is sad sometimes like all of us! It’s only natural but she is queen! Being completely new to ASMR, I was not expecting to feel my body just absolutely relax at some of these sounds. I struggle with severe anxiety that leaves me tense 100% of the time. This helped me so much.

Every time I watch this I can't help but admire how flawless her makeup is. She is so close to the cam, and it's somehow seamless. Asmrists have really *really* good makeup usually, and I appreciate it. Also she's really gorgeous, as an artist I appreciate her features.

this was the very first asmr video I ever watched- I was laying in the grass trying to take a nap, but couldn't relax so I figured I'd try looking up relaxing videos. I remember thinking that having someone whisper in my ear was so strange and different and then I immediately fell asleep. Woke up later being like what just happened. Started watching them every night before bed and got over the insomnia I'd had for years.
I love how maria finds the beauty in different objects. And how she makes amazing sounds with objects. She really reminds me of an innocent angel. Can you inagine anyone being mean to her? Shes just lovely.

As someone who experiences heavy depersonalization and intense feelings of loneliness... I want to just admit that this is the first time I did ASMR and it evoked a whole lot of emotional response and I felt like I wasn't alone, like I was loved and being comforted. I can't comprehend the feeling of satisfaction I experienced. Most people wouldn't admit to it, but it actually made me tear up. I'm an emotional person who craves this sort of attention and feelings of physical comfort and... yeah. Thank you. My surroundings feel ever more real after only 11 minutes of this.

I fell the exact same way. I really love Maria because she's SO caring of EVERYBODY! She's a very loving and caring person and she has made me feel very safe and relaxed and since I myself am going into therapy for college watching a lot of therapy videos like this I feel are going to be very helpful later on. This was the first ASMR video I ever watched. 3 years later I'm still here, my 'tingles' aren't as strong but I still watch ASMR videos every night before bed. Anxieties issues and Maria has HELPED so much . When I tell doctors after a severe panic attack … that one of my coping mechanisms is watching ASMR videos and they’re confused about , but fortunately lol , there’s always a nurse who knows about it and we go on explaining. They actually love the concept.

Thank you for this!!! Just discovered ASMR. I have early onset Parkinsons Disease and have been dealing with sleep issues for years. Tried this out of desperation and it worked! Fell asleep within 5 minutes. Usually takes me an hour or more to fall asleep.

I love these videos so much. They help me unwind, recharge, and relax my mind. How brave is Maria to sit in front of a camera and go through each of these experiences, slowly and up close! Gawd, I would be SO afraid to do this. But she is a professional artist! The first time I had this ASMR sensation, I was in 2nd grade, and it was my library teacher who would speak so calmly and check out books with this smoothness that just sent tingles all over my head and neck. It was like a drug. I loved it.
I am more excited for Maria's newest ASMR videos than the new Star Wars movies.

This was the first ASMR video I ever saw, and I honestly think that I got more into ASMR due to how safe Maria makes me feel- also how loved she makes me feel. I don't often feel those things, but I can always pop over to her channel when I need to feel them most. I'm at rock bottom currently, and trust me when I say my life has had its lows. It's just been on a constant decline since I was born, but at least I have an escape 🖤

This is a legendary video, introduced so many people to ASMR. I still remember when it was "weird" to listen to, it's amazing how far the scene has come since this video came out.
Despite the obvious mocking tone of her show, I really hope those people watching Ellen start exploring your channel and discovering how soothing ASMR can be! And how well you make so many people feel!

I found Maria's videos BECAUSE of watching Ellen.......and I love them. I did laugh at Ellen because I have the same type of humour but I also thought, hey, that's really cool, I'm gonna check it out! And hooked........!

I wish Meria would seperate the soft spoken videos from whisper videos & do just one or other. Something odd about just me I guess, i literally yank the earplugs out when I hear the whisper. Does anyone else not like whispering? I guess I'm weird, I just cant take someone whispering in my ear. Oh my gosh. so unnerving.

I totally agree! I commented this one time and got attacked because of it. But I love her soft spoken videos but it seems like she doesn’t do a true soft spoken all of the time.

This was my first introduction to asmr for about 6 years ago and it’s been my favorite sense then. I watched it so many times and it still helps me to relax and fall asleep. Every time I’ve been watching other asmr accounts it always ends up with coming back to this one. I personally just wanna thank you Maria for helping me getting through many nights of overthinking and stress. Thank you 🙏🏼🥰

I've just discovered ASMR, this is the first video I've watched. Wow! I instantly felt my stresses drift away, I didn't know sounds could have such an effect on our mind & bodies. I'm convinced this lady is from a different realm, an angel, a celestial being or fairie with a voice as delicate as gold leaf.
