Many of the people watching this will not appreciate the amount of planning and coordination required to mount and operate so many cameras and to seamlessly record ambient audio as well as comms audio all nicely levelled... I do - so thanks and well done. Mere mortals can only dream of flying in a 407 let alone being Andrew. A thorough professional with a very relaxed temperament. One of the very best helicopter videos on TH-cam by a long way.
Nick Murray Hi Nick, I really enjoyed your video. I am a Helicopter Pilot myself from South Africa and love the Bell 407 with all my heart. I’ve logged a few hundred hours on one back here. Please tell Andrew I am impressed by his professionalism. That’s how I love doing it. I miss flying the Bell 407 with all my heart. Due to Covid 19 and the rest, I haven’t flown in a while....... Thanks for an awesome video again...
Fantastic. What a machine, and it’s so good to see someone so professional, laid back but totally switched on. He obviously loves his job - no wonder - he will just give people complete confidence. The shot of Liberty brought back memories, I can’t believe I walked in that door at the bottom in 1990, feels like another life. Great video thank you.
You have outdone yourself Nick. Fat chance ever topping this one! Well done. Awesome camera work, decent audio, amazing views, the imbedded stills in super high Def... all in the most incredible helicopter. Truly amazing.
Thanks for the kind feedback. It has taken a lot of time/effort to get these heli videos up to a decent standard but they are coming together a lot better now.
Awesome pilot (Andrew Woods),and a beautifull 407 that Andrew made me realized how carefully and professionnally it must be handle(it's not a toy). Thanks Nick, the NY panorama was breath taking.
i have over 17000 hrs in a 206 i just got a new 407gxi last week. still learning the radios. however i got a tad airsick watching this video lol saved me lots of money. i dont have to go to nyc now. saw whati always wanted to see. nice job
My favorite helicopter to fly, and my favorite city to visit. Thank very much for this video, Nick Murray. Andrew Woods is the epitome of a tour pilot. Relaxed, funny, well informed and in very smooth control of his machine. That was a pleasure to watch. Thank you to both of you.
A superb video showing a great helicopter - the Bell 407 and a great city. You were lucky to have such a relaxed and well informed pilot. New York looked fantastic! Brilliant!
Incredible video! As a fixed wing private pilot, who lives and works in the area, I've flown this route numerous times from TEB (where I earned my wings) as well as CDW & FRG. Indeed this is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done! I've even circled the lady counter-clockwise at 900ft, which was amazing. Flying the Hudson and East river corridors, is an absolute blast! However, the one thing I have not done, is a helicopter tour of the city, YET. None of my videos look this great, lol. Thanks for sharing. By the way, I recently bought the Dreamfoil Bell 407 for my home simulator X-Plane 11, and I'm having a blast flying and learning it, which is what brought me to TH-cam searching for tips :-)
Hello fellow helicopter pilot. I came for the M4 videos and came across this gem! Awesome footage. Flying down the Hudson sure was an amazing experience. I was lucky to get out of there with the "money shot" after about 4 laps around the statue with 3 other brand new hawks, thanks to our camera bird. Thank you for the uploads, they're good entertainment.
Absolutely enthralled with this video. Sitting in my lounge in the Antipodes thoroughly enjoying this. The pilot is par excellent and a brilliant tour guide. If I ever get over that way this flight is on my bucket list.
Hi Nick, I watch a large number of aviation videos and have to say this is best on TH-cam. Most of them are absolute rubbish. You are to congratulated! Andrew Woods is certainly a great pilot. Relaxed, precise and above all safety conscious. He would make a great instructor. Well done mate!!
Have to agree with the consensus here; wonderful shots of NYC, which looks beautiful in the sunshine and a great quality video to boot. Well done Nick! Thanks for sharing the experience
What an amazing, beautiful video. Andrew Woods is without doubt one of the best pilots in the world, with possibly the best job conceivable. Amazing camera work Nick. Wow.
What a coincidence! I live in Brazil and have been around Nick Murray's channel for some years. When in NY three months ago, I flew a tour trip exactly with this guy, Andrew Woods! He even did let me take the front seat of the sistership N79ZA because I was helicopter private pilot by the time. Again, what a coincidence!
Really enjoyed the two part video. Impressed by the sophisticated computer systems inside the helicopter. The video was very engaging and of a very high standard.
I've been following your car reviews for a long while but haven't before taken the time to watch a hell review. The production for this video was absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing.
Out standing! The view's , the pilot, the aircraft & the view of the Trade center was very moving! Kind of tear up😔.. Thank you so much for sharing this Awesome video, New York is Definitely on my bucket list..👍
That was absolutely incredible. I watched the whole thing. It inspires me to take a helicopter flight. New York looks beautiful, but I always thought the statue of liberty was bigger.
I had two flights onboard helicopters : one around Le Man [24 hours track] and one around Paris. And I can say I really enjoyed both of them. Thanks Nick for your videos !
She's a big girl with a 35' waistline, and she's 111' 6" tall. I spent 4 hours in lines and only reached her nuts. (Those below her feet, holding her platform down.) She's elevated above the ground on a 194' tall platform, so it's 305' 6" from the grass to the tip of her gold torch flame. It's breathtaking up close.
Such a wonderful experience done in a dedicated way with courtesy for other users both on the ground and in the air, there is just no substitute for experience with the knowledge it brings, thank you Nice and Andrew for this insight of a lifetime.
Great video. The pilot seems like a great person who ensures heli safety and calm disposition all the time. You need that in those busy environments. Dont sweat the small stuff when flying. Focus on the flying part itself and take pleasure in the view.
Wow, I enjoy the hell out of that. I was so into it when I snapped out of it. I realized I wasn't in the helicopter, but watching it on my phone. Beautiful. Thanks again guys. 407 is my favorite helicopter besides the huey or should I say the twin-engine Huey 212
WOW!!! I guess all I had to do was ask....Helicopter reviews are back. YAY!!!!! OK 1hr of required viewing coming up. Now that you are a citizen I expect MORE helicopter reviews. Thanks Nick and welcome to American???
Incredible Helicopter. And the best is the Garmin 1000 System in a light helicopter. Now I've finished my career as an airline pilot, I should go for a helicopter license !!!
Thanks Nick for the awesome video. Haven't been to NY yet but seeing it from the air just makes me want to go there and experience it as well as doing a fly over in a Bell 407!
absolutely incredible Nick. loved both parts. must admit I miss the World Trade Towers. but the views were magnificent. I have done the helicopter tour of Uluru and the Olgas. the desert does not show how fast you are going or height. New York gives you both. wish I could do that trip some day. its a long way from Oz. have been to Florida. home then seems a long way away. look forward to your next adventures.
Beautiful views and great job nick 🤣seen the statue of liberty 🗽I think it's about 10-11 years ago I had a dream of the statue🗽 running after me I was scared and started running but to realization it was handing me the torch 🔥 knowing it was going be a blessing in disguise 🎉❤
Found myself leaning into the screen to get a better look down at One. VBG // That was a fun flight, and your gear (and you) brought it to us in crisp, bright clarity. Thanks, Nick. // My tour was on the ground in 1998. We went up the Empire State Building and looked over at the WTC. (I'm glad I made that trip instead of WTC.) After that, we hit the NYC subway (old cars, extremely quiet passengers), and took the ferry out to see Lady Liberty. She has big nuts! (A foot across the flats, holding her frame down to the pedestal. LOL) I love the sight of her from the air, close-up like that. Wow! // Andrew was a happy, fun, intelligent pilot/host. Cool cool.
Fantastic video, great presentation and great pilot who is totally on point which makes all the difference. I feel in the future augmented reality glasses/wearable HUD will make this sort of flying safer. All other aircraft positions will be marked with a circle and arrow symbol floating in front of the pilots eyes wherever they look. Arrow will show direction of flight and whether the other aircraft is level/climbing/descending and if theres a collision risk. I feel there also needs to be extra intense very bright strobes on these machines that show up even in strong sun. Thanks for a great vid!
Well… Watching this… gives me the shivers … all those people in one place … grrrrrh… no way I want to live there …😜 Great video… thx for sharing sir 🙏🏻
That pilot was one extremely professional, chilled out dude. Great video.
skibumirl gotta love the irish ☘️

Very professional and well spoken. He's obviously flown this tour many times before. I'd love to be on one of these flights someday.

Thanks to Nick for another great video. Andrew's comments and personality really help make parts 1 and 2 shine. I learned some new 407 stuff today !
