@@henkhu100 Your math skills may be fantastic but your English is atrocious. "Stop learning the viewers..." should be "Stop teaching the viewers..." You can't learn anyone but you can teach them whether they learn or not.

@@dlkline27 Ok, thanks. In Dutch we have the same word for to teach and to learn (leren).
(I "teach" my students how to solve an equation = ik "leer" mijn studenten hoe een vergelijking op te lossen
I "learn" how to solve an equation = Ik "leer" hoe een vergelijking op te lossen)

Examples of why we might need radicals in a calculation would be nice.

I've never understood why a square root in a numerator is OK but in a denominator it is not desirable.

This video is an attempt to correct your misunderstanding of square roots in an earlier video...best to just admit you were wrong the first time...

Way too much talk. Just get to the point. These lessons could be given in half the time and be so much more effective. This ( with fast forwards ) is an excellent lesson!

It’s true. I have seen many other videos that get to the point. But his videos are good because he nags and nags at you to make notes and keep good notes. He makes me regret not taking notes better. I wish I had a notebook from my childhood full of math notes.

A good teacher is for all kinds of students with different learning styles. His experience and teaching style are unique with great success. I appreciate that he knows what he is doing even if others think his talk is unnecessary.

@@murieldavidson7197 "He knows what he is doing"? Well se my comment 9 days ago. He is making many, many errors in his videos.
When you google on TabletClass Math you will see that he is making his videos as marketing for that commercial organization.
And by the way: even on the website of that organization there are example videos that contain errors!

±3 is the solution to the equation x^2=9.
Sqrt(9) is not the same. That is 3 and only 3. Sqrt is a function, by definition.
You are making the conceptual error of confusing a function with an equation.
You make the same mistake also in other videos.
As I already commented in another video, even the absolute value can be defined as |x| = sqrt(x^2). Think about that.
    Please correct that.

excellent post, I already point this out in his earlier post and yet he repeats the same error here. We live in a time when many believe what they think overrules facts, this guy is one...

And again an error in your video. When do you consult a good book about math and don't make the mistake you make at 6:15? Stop learning the viewers the wrong things about math.
There are two square roots of -4
Those square roots are 2i and -2i
But ✓(-4) is the notation for the principal square root of -4 and that is just 2i. and not -2i. (see 6:15 where you give an incorrect interpretation of ✓(-4) )
Please consult a good book about math and find out that ✓a. is the principal root of a, and that that is just one value (even if a is negative or complex).

not knowing your mistake is very worrying, especially when this video could be seen by millions...don't put yourself up as a maths guru when your subject knowledge is very weak...
