    Employers also say the wrong things. I once had a recruiter tell me he was going to give the person hired just a few months to reach objectives, almost saying you'd be fired as soon as that if you failed to make the grade. He also swore, something I think no-one should ever do in an interview: 'you won't need to write any f**king reports' I remember him saying. I've also had recruiters ask for my personal phone number, when they've been put in touch with me through an agency. Then another firm seemed upset I'd had quite a few jobs in my 25 year career, suggesting this was a negative. I explained that I didn't see this as a negative, but a strong positive: sometimes losing a job and being able to find another quickly, fit in and hit the ground running. Plus I'd worked for different types of employers in different countries and had gained language skills and was generally overall successful.

      You’re right. A lot of employers also say the wrong things. I think employers can also put a lot of emphasise on people not changing jobs but people have life’s and aren’t tied to one company. Thanks for the insights

    As a recruiter who has been interviewing people daily for almost 10 years, these phrases are all true... sadly 😅😅
