    4:00 Primary colors are actually Red, Yellow and Blue. Blue and Yellow when mixed create Green.

      Red, Yellow and Blue are primary colours for paint and pigments. The primary colours for light are red, blue and green or RGB. RGB is an additive colour scale meaning all colours mixed will equal white, as in white sunlight. Just like it is shown in the video.

      @@runestone2011 Without quantifying them by saying "additive primary colors" I wouldn't consider green a "primary". Traditional color theory and virtually all color wheels use red, yellow, and blue whereas RGB and CMYK are utilitarian color models.
      If green is a primary color than so are magenta, cyan, and black. Technically it's right, but not usually.

    How do I apply the color theory techniques in a short film or commercial that I am directing?

    I would love to know the sources for your stats at the beginning regarding the percentages of decisions based on color.

      it literally says "Source: Helpscout" in the corner. And helpscout's source is from a study done at the University of Winnipeg on the Impact of Colour on Marketing.

    So what is Hubspot color pallete? I checked website, and still confused. Yes orange is obvious, but what else, green, navy, dark gray from site, shade of orange?

      It's a Complementary Color Scheme.
      The colors are Orange & Blue.
      They might seem to change, but it's just those 2 colors.
      They add different shades, tints and tones to them to create different effects whilst using the same 2 colors.
      Hues are the colors in their purest form (in this case Orange & Blue).
      Shade (Hue + Black)
      Tint (Hue + White)
      Tone (Hue + Grey)

      it actually depends on the color model you choose, if your color model is RGB, your primary colors will be red, green and blue. If your model is CYMK, primary colors will be cyan, yellow, magenta, kala/key

    • @runestone2011
      @runestone2011 ปีที่แล้ว

      RGB is the scale for light, so if you are using TV or computer screens, you want RGB. Print scale is CYMK.
