Good recap. Y’all’s videos of your visits have been very very good.
My son is working on Palmyra atoll until March, so it’d be cool if you stopped by and met him - but I’m not sure if Palmyra is on your route, and I know visitors are not encouraged. He says Palmyra is really beautiful.

Oh cool! That’s north of our route, but looks amazing!

Very nice summary. Nice thing about the Windwards, and most of the Caribbean islands is how relatively close they are to each other- don't like 1 island -sail 10-15 mi to the next. The BVI's are expensive and very crowded in season. Los Roques- maybe the crime issues have cleared up but this place was dangerous for awhile. Interesting the Bahamas as #1, given how relatively easy they are to get to from US, but there are 100 islands to choose from and lots of things to see and do. I will be crewing on 40' cat in Bahamas in Jan/Feb and looking forward to trip.

Just subscribed, looking forward to following your journey. Just waiting on our 2 little girls to get a little bigger before we start our journey... I need night watch observers.

Thanks for watching! I’d love some night watch help too. Couple more years before our kids are ready for that…

I've sailed for 15 years in the Caribbean. I can state without qualification that Bonaire is a very poor choice for cruising boats to visit. First, there is no anchoring; period full stop. You must moor, and the mooring are reserved for the dive boats principally . If you can get on one, the fees will curl you hair. Bonaire is set up for two things:1) Cruise ships and their day trippers, and 2) shore based tourists who come to dive with the dive boats. There is one small marina with , at least during my visit, poor services. I would never sail there again. What these folks found so remarkable about Bonaire is beyond me. My only explanation is that it was a brief stop over port on the way to Columbia, and hence was similar to a cruise ship visit.

Thanks for the summary but here we go again! Our family had to censure the video! What would it take to be a little more modest? Is it necessary to have the exposure for click bait?
Other times have been perfectly fine but this video you have gone too far for us!
Safe sailing and passage through Panama
