Turned back the wallpaper to solid black, otherwise the menu is white even in dark mode. Yes there's a way to fix this in accessibility, transparency, but come on! I never see my wallpaper anyway, it's always covered by windows.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been using macOS for years, but I didn't know about a lot of these settings. I'm especially excited about the new keyboard dictation feature and the ability to automatically clean up verification codes.
I absolutely love the new wallpapers and animations how it slows down. Some of them look like you could reach through the screen like they are almost 3D.

AirPods auto switching has improved significantly!! I have it on and it works great. I plan on leaving it on after having it off for years.

Thank's Brandon, I had to put this video into 2X mode so I could IMMEDIATELY change those settings. I feel much better now.
One thing I liked a lot before updating was being able to switch the microphone mode while on a call (Standard/Voice Isolation/Wide Spectrum). I can't seem to be able to do so on Sonoma. Any idea what I can do about that?
one small detail that is actually not that small is Safari extensions do not work in web-apps, at least not for me. That was immediately evident when I saved the web-app for YT and got ads the moment I opened a video. On the other hand, Chrome-generated web-apps do maintain functioning extensions, with a toggle too. I hope this is just a "coding" problem that will be easily fixable from the devs side and not an intended way of functioning for these apps. In the meantime I'll be sticking to Chrome web-apps

I don't know why but I got so excited with the voice isolation on the mic mode. Very helpful if your job requires a lot of calling and video meetings like I don't have to buy an expensive microphone with noise cancelling. 🎉

Thank you so much for making and sharing this video. I implemented many of the new settings you suggested. I do have a question/comment about the shared audio with the new presenter feature. My zoom meeting viewers let me know the audio was completely choppy when using the presenter feature in either share screen or portion, and I solved this, at least particularly in zoom, by changing to zoom audio, which before this, I did not have any issues. Do you know anything about this? Thanks!

Thank you so much! Super useful. I have one question that's driving me crazy!! How do you get a digital clock widget to appear within the available widget styles?! On my M1 2021 iMac a square faced digital clock style is a choice to add to my desktop. On my M1 2021 MacBook Air that digital clock widget choice doesn't even appear as a choice. Yes, both Macs are running the most current and exact version of OS Sonoma. And no, this isn't a feature or app that I downloaded from the App Store. I've been asking everywhere and nobody has an answer.
This is so basic but how did you make your status bar on top (menu bar) bigger and monochromatic ? Mine doesn't change even after software update... need help ^^

Just wanted to ask to be safe but if I were to delete a wallpaper file from the 4K folder, it'll still be in the wallpaper settings so that I could redownload it correct?

Question. I have 2 monitors, and sometimes when I click on a new app "window" and use keyboard shortcuts, the last previous active window still takes those, even though I clicked on a different app, sort of like the "focus" doesn't switch fast enough, it would be awesome if it could be set to switch on mouse focus, I believe the default is "cmd-click" and wait a couple seconds, and then the app is on focus, do you know a way to change this?
Can we set custom live wallpaper by swapping those files?

The taller menu bar is currently exclusive to NotchBooks.

Any advice on how to change how windows open on my Macbook Air M2 since installing Sonoma... they open in about 2/3rd the size of my screen. I always have to make them bigger by stretching them. I don't want complete full screen, just larger than they open. Everything I've tried that's been suggested onlline does not work. Please help!!
I don’t care for wallpapers or widgets. I like my work/home machine being as clean as possible. Just a clean color and nothing at all on my desktop. That’s why I don’t like dark mode, especially for photo editing/retouching, or if you like to create fine-art prints. Important to have your monitor calibrated and keep every app as close to natural as possible… I also don’t like how they trying to make the Mac more like the iPhone/iPad. Bullshit in my opinion. Not to mention, most of the settings I like to change I do via the terminal and script, so I don’t have to use all this “fancy” features. And for coding you should most definitely turn off everything you described, escape if you’re a fast typer. I like the way we are going in terms of design etc., but to many features I don’t like at all.

how do you change the icon sizes for the display thumbnails in folders, but make it the same for all folders at once? I know you can do it with the view options but you have to do folder by folder

great video i fond by me not liking clicking on the desktop and all my apps disappear,,, lol I know this may not be the place to ask this but i searched your videos and fond one video on messages from 7yrs age the reason i bring this up here i been looking for help on why my messages is not showing my photos from mines photos library so i can add a picture to my contacts,,, it worked before but now i don't know if it is messages or if it is the photos library that is give me problems...

i cant find an answer for this but whenever i click an app in the dock, say for instance im in mail and move mouse cursor over and click safari, i am taken to home screen and whatever app is open, usually messages is right there instead of going to safari. any ideas why my mac mini m2 pro does this?
