This is the second part of the Igarashi Koi Farm walk through.
A farm where I have bought many, many Koi.
Great people and great Koi. Some very rare varieties are now bred at this Koi Farm and they are in very high demand!
Always great to visit this very famous Koi Farm.
Thanks 4 sharing Tim…. I been a fan your Dad … Good to see you appreciate and give propers to one one of the greatest breeders of all times…
I never met The father as he died of cancer a few months before my trip. I visited all of his koi houses with his son and Maki, who is Katsumi Fukushima’s son (NNBC) Maki helped the son in the first couple of years after his fathers death. In January 2017 we were very lucky to be able to hand pick from one pond in the original koi house in Nagaoka, and I picked 20 tosai to grow on. One of them I thought would be an ai goromo but after a few years this turned out to be an amazing Goshiki. Unbeknown to me, Maki forwarded a photo of my Goshiki to the son and he informed me that his father had worked hard to bring the robing of ai goromo into his Goshiki line. Such a genuinely lovely family. I received a Facebook message from the son when my dad died if cancer last year. He told me that our fathers would be looking down on us, watching every move and smiling when they see us and their grandchildren. I cannot wait to return and say hello to them again
Agree with Geoff, seeing you both on either of Mark's (RIP) and your video's. Great memory lane stories well shared
Some real beauties there.
I saw a few that I would like to buy.
Thankyou Tim. Take care Sir. 👍😊❤️
Superb video Tim. Gosh the Kage Utsuri was the best I have ever seen. And the Big scale ginrin chagoi and matsukawabake 🤩 Special place 😉
Sounds an amazing bloke Tim. People like that keep ya faith in the human race 👏👏 🇯🇵🇬🇧
Just wanted to comment on your filming of the ponds, fair play on them small ledges excellent job and thank you for showing us these locations as most of us will never get the chance to see them. Thank you and hats off for the filming 👍🏻
I love getting Kujyaku and Showa from this breeder. Keep up the good work! ~Jared from WV Koi
Love the video's Tim.can not wait to call to the shop and get sum fish.my great uncle got me in to koi I was allways helping him with his pond in the school holidays great times.
Nigel Caddock, Ian Stewartson your Father have all graced that famous koi house along with Kazuto, no wonder you were emotional. Great video Tim
Yep, I remember them all sat there for hours on end looking the Koi.
We meet some people through our lives that remain with us forever. I think this nice chap that you speak of is an example of that.
Thanks for sharing mate 😊
Great video Tim - Igarashi Kazuto was a truly great man. I’ll never forget his harvests on Mark Gardner’s videos. Some absolutely jaw dropping go sanke
Lovely video Tim enjoyed watching. :)
I appreciate stories like this and beautiful fish
Tim , nice to see emotion / love for ones fellow man. the fish you said where the worst in the pond are very nice and the others are just stunning, all these new names / varieties. Just checked and I still have money in my account ,better that way, and to just let you show me what I might one day buy . great video and I say again it was nice to see your emotion for a man who trusted you . That is rare .

Its nice to hear you talk and get emotional about the people who gave you a leg up in the early days Tim..
Another great video Tim keep them coming 👍
Great to be surrounded by great people. 👍
Absolutely beautiful storytelling and information- awesome to watch. Thanks for sharing your journey
Great video definitely want to hear more about the history of it all.
Great videos of your trip Tim really enjoying watching these nice to hear about your journey and all that have helped along the way sometimes a little kindness and understanding goes along way we all need help every now and then 👍 keep the updates coming
Fascinating listening to you Tim really are enjoying these video's and glad to hear the breeders have looked after you . Looking forward to the next one!
I remember looking forward to visiting Igarashi after hearing so much about it from my old mate (sadly not with us anymore) Ian Stewardson. This place was outstanding, the quality of koi was off the chart!! From what I remember everybody was in awe of the koi at this facility.
Yeah took Ian there a lot of times.
Loving the updates Tim, mind blowing quality and great stories to back up the koi house visits. Woukd love to visit one day. Stay safe mate
Visited Kazuto many years ago and althought I knew I could never afford to buy from there it was simply sensational! Every single koi was simply stunning and worth the trips alone just to see his koi ! Great vid Tim
Love all these tours of different koi farms and a lot of nice backstories.
Keep them coming🙌🏽
(Please decrease the volume of your intro music if you can though, I was watching these videos with headphones and it nearly gave me a heart attack the next video started😂)
Thanks for these videos mate there boss he sounds like a boss fella mist of been an evertonian rip this man
What I find most amazing is the fact they have possibly millions of pounds of fish just sat in the the ponds and any body can just walk in and they all work on trust .
Crime rates in Japan are incredibly low. As a Buddhist culture they think about the other person first. When I went to Japan you can leave the car unlocked etc and not worry. I once left my DSLR camera at a Buddhist temple, and returned there to collect it - if that was the U.K. it would have gone…
Thanks for sharing Tim, it's great to hear the history, really enjoyed it pal
thanks for sharing your special times
Great video Tim 👍
Great video like always!! Love to hear about the breeders they seem so be great genuine people which here in the states is getting harder to find especially when money is involved!
Thankyou for sharing your memories
Another great video tim 👍
I've had a business and business relationships just like you describe. People who trade on your/their word, no questions. You reciprocate and ultimately, everyone wins. Made me happy and sad remembering, Scots, Italians, a Lithuanian Jew, and my still good English friend and how we treated with one another. Regards Stephen.
What a fantastic video 😊
I like the mirror carp scales om the koi well better than without more character
❤️🙏
Hi Tim, great video as always. How do the breeders feed all those koi? Do they buy a commercial feed or make their own? Thank you.
They use commercial food these days. Very few still make their own
What a special video. It was so touching. What a special video. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
