Amazing place again. Beautiful koi. What I loved the most throughout all the videos of Japan is the mixture of info, history and your personal experience there and over time. Fabulous.

How awesome are those koi just swimming around and you just walk in , some truly awesome creatures! When you think each farm cannot beat the previous the quality of koi gets better.

Amazing how you can just walk in these places at your leisure. Even my bio filter pit has a padlock, and the pond gets metal covers and padlocked when I go away.

Hi Tim - wasn’t the breeder/dealer Mia Ishi one of the first to have a koi house for viewing and purchasing koi? I totally agree how nice the Mano family are and how helpful they are to anyone who visits. I was lucky enough to help them harvest a pond in 2018. Mano senior is incredible at lifting those huge units

I think the retail faculty came later as they sold their land for the bullet train and built it

I’ve got to ask Tim, have you ever fallen into one of the indoor ponds in Japan? This one looked safe, but some other’s are on the sketchy side! 😂

So just wondering if butterfly koi are bread much in Japan. Don’t recall seeing any butterfly’s from the videos I’ve watched. I’ve had a female in my pond since 2005. Thanks

I’ve come across breeders who don’t want to sell you koi a few times. That’s about it

Any possibility of buying online, and having Koi shipped to South Africa?

    • @TimWaddington
