This message is for anyone who is suffering pain, affliction or tribulation. It is for the unemployed and those facing financial trials. It is for people who live each day with an anxious foreboding about their future. I want to say to each of you right now: GOD KNOWS ABOUT IT ALL.
The Psalmist testifies, “O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off ” (Psalm 139:1-2). He is telling us, “My God sees whenever I sit down and rise up. He hears and considers every thought I think. He knows everything about me.” When we are in tribulation, God knows what we are going through.
Whenever I am in pain and need a word of encouragement, I want to talk to somebody who knows. I don’t want someone who’ll merely quote scriptures to me. I need to talk to someone who has also been in the fire - someone who has felt depths of suffering, who has been there himself.
Usually only those who have suffered deep pain themselves have genuine compassion for others who are hurting. I saw this over the years as my wife and I vacationed in Florida. At restaurants we overheard elderly people talking about their doctors and the operations they’d undergone. Someone who had the same pain would chime in with sympathy. In the very tone and timbre of their voice, I could feel the agony of the long nights they’d endured. A deep connection was established, a bond of understanding and compassion.
Many Christians today are so despondent over their pain they no longer believe God cares about their situation. They wonder, “Does God hear my prayers? Why does he allow this trial to go on?” Other Christians slowly grow more bitter in the midst of their trial. They think, “I’ve been faithful to love and obey God all these years. I’ve done right according to his Word.
Now I’ve lost my job and we’re on the brink of losing our home. Medical bills are piling up, and our finances are spiraling out of control. We’re facing permanent ruin. Why would God allow all this to happen? Why won’t he hear my cry when I need him most?”
God knows about our suffering - and he cares.

David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.

I was wrecked and I broke down from the very first words of this message. I have to believe that, whatever pain, loss, darkness and despair I am in, that has absolutely no bearing on the love, faithfulness, and sovereignty of God. His goodness doesn’t depend on how I feel or what I suffer. That is strangely comforting. I hope this helps someone. I know we are all going through so much. I’d like to think we are bearing one another’s burdens. Brothers and sisters, I love you so much. Let’s endure. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.

Dear Lidya, praying for you that God will give you peace with this. I am so sorry. We don't always understand the why but even if we did I'm not sure it would make any difference in the pain you are going through. My heart has been shattered into a zillion pieces this year & if it hadn't been for the Lord I wouldn't be here now. Lay it all down at His feet & know that He will get you through. In Revelation 21:4 God says He will wipe away all our tears & there will be no more pain, nor sorrow. That day is coming quickly & we will be home with our loved ones, never to say goodbye again. @@kellynewman862 Yes God did heal my baby boy Israel, just not in the manner I expected or wanted. After 189 days in the NICU my sweet Izzy went back to Heaven. He fought so long and hard unfortunately his body couldn’t recover from NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis).

Yes since 2008 I lost everything, everything , career, son, house , family, marriage, lord I have been stripped from everything, but, I keep praying and faith believing and use all this as a testimony for all whom all those nnmI have met on earth , and give them love and hope and your word lord ! I am now older very much older past 59 and I’m still praying and believing on his promise of an old promise of Moses that OUR bones (Joseph bones out of Egypt) will be taken out of this earth (it has not been easy at all) but , I believe me and my children and grandchildren and great grandchildren is with this promise and my faith remains in gods heart! Davids sermon yesterday, led me to Psalm 27: 10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. I can absolutely testify to that. Our Lord is the only loving Father i have ever known. I thank him with all my heart and soul, for all the trials, all the pain and most of all, for the most precious gift of the Holy Spirit. I have walked alone in this demon infested, catholic Ireland and the devil cannot touch me. I make sure, every single day, to say the Holy Spirits name aloud. I talk about the Holy Trinity to every child who comes into my home. They are so deceived, like i was, in the catholic school system. The greatest crime being committed against them, is the Holy Spirit being blocked, the only comfort in this world. It pains me. I almost lost my life to suicide, a long time ago. 6 months later, i had a profound supernatural experience of the Holy Spirit. My soul was filled. I didn't even know that the Holy Spirit is the comforter. I want every child in Ireland to know that because they have no idea. I picture David in one of our Fathers many mansions and it makes me smile!
Even this time I question and I allow doubt. If only for a moment. The many scriptures echo in my spiritual ears to reveal that I do hear, I am chosen and thus I must endure. It is a spirit walk while in flesh existence. I am thankful to be chosen and most thankful that Christ prays to the Father on my behalf as well as the many others who have been chosen before the foundation of this earth were laid. My birth and life were placed during this generation for the edification unto God. I endure all through the daily bread of Christ and the teachings of The Holy Spirit. All Glory to God.

Lost my father because of divorce. He's living in the US and I live with my mother in Germany for about coming in April 2022 for 20 years. Most aspects of my life were good back then and I'm not lacking anything physical now. But I was a straight A student. The top of my class becoming student of the month multiple times. And even had medals. But after the divorce my grades dropped and happiness declined. My grandmother used to say you would laugh so much back then.... . I stopped connecting to the real world and went into the back then gaming as game cube and television. Mp3 players and food.(Internet wasn't in our home yet) I would. Have really wished my life would have continued as before. And I would exceed most expectations. And would have a role model in my life male one. As I got older I saw the full effects of what happened and started to ask God if you know the future millenia ahead of time how could you let that happen. If it's your will to raise godly offspring. God has been leading me lately many true men of God and pulling me out of the apostate church. But even now it still hurts and wish every single day it would stop. May God bring forth strong testimonies. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you always Pastor Wilkerson for your encouragement in our trials. I have learned more through your sermons in the past year than I have in the previous decades of being a Christian. God knows everything, He is sovereign. Of myself I can do nothing. I tried to do something without involving God and caused an absolute mess in my life and those I love. God reassures me that I am forgiven and still loved despite my foolishness and that He will never leave me or forsake me, all I have to do is trust Him. What is written in these verses in the Old and New Testament brings a striking resemblance to what brother David is speaking about in this sermon. To put on the whole armour of God right here is to help us become overcomers through the faith of Jesus Christ the Son of God Himself.

I listen and think of Jobe, I think of those in the desert who are just like we Americans with our “proofs” complex. We must have and hold or it’s not real. The long suffering of both mentioned. I can say I’ve sat on the bed edge and heard that “I know” and retained my faith while in the writing depths of sufferings. And now I too know that I know. While being in it, don’t let go of it. Keep the faith. By Romans 8:5 how dare we want for the flesh while flesh itself is dead and rages against the spirit. God does not waste His blessings to our flesh but are invested to our spirit. Over and over the sufferings of many in scriptures yet today we Americans still pine for obtainment by flesh.

Thank you pastor Wilkerson for your words of comfort. I have been in pain for years now. I cry out to God for healing but so far He has said no. I always thought if I had more faith I wouldn’t be sick. But seeing a family so devoted to God suffering so greatly and not being healed I realize God has a purpose for my pain.
The omnipotent and omniscient God is the Savior.

After a long legal battle with my ex wife I am about to lose contact with my youngest son for probably years , I am full of dread .
I truly believe in God and speak to him all the time but I can't ever get the connection to Christ no matter how hard I try .... I am starting to think I aren't one of the elected so will never be saved .
That thought is from the enemy, not from the MOST HIGH GOD. Please understand, it is the enemy who is doing this...not your ex. That is a spirit from the adversary making you think like that, by working through her. Please read the promises GOD has made through scripture. Read the book of John, for a start. And ask HIM for wisdom. HE promises that HE will give us that if we ask HIM.
