I am 76 and have just started embroidery and have found your work inspiring and relaxing to watch , my daughter is a great fan of Jane Austin. You are so talented
Thanks for sharing Chloe 😍 it's great to see your process in detail and to see glimpses of your studio. I love your thimble with the bumblebee, and all of your plants.
Stunning!! I found this video bc I’m creating my own physical embroidered hardcover version of Pride & Prejudice and am workshopping the bookbinding aspect of my endeavour. While this wasn’t what I was looking for per say, I found myself captivated by your skillful embroidering and earnest ode to Austen
I loved this video! It combined my first love of books and reading together with my interest in cover design and my love of stitching!! Thanks so much for sharing your process with us.
Thank you for sharing, Chloe, it was marvelous to see your technique . You are so very talented. I adore your bee thimble. I received your book, The Embroidered Art of Chloe Giordano, for my birthday, it's just gorgeous .
Absolutely gorgeous!! I’m definitely gonna buy this book to brighten up my bookshelf!! How long did the whole cover take to complete? Because it looks like a massive job
About a month and a half but I was jumping between this and illustrating a children's book, if I'd worked straight through it probably would have been more like 2, maybe 2 1/2 weeks I think! x
I'm not even done watching yet, but this is so peaceful to watch and amazing to see your process :) That disappearing ink is really cool, I had no idea that was a thing. Cant wait to see more :)
Beautiful! I have your book Chloe and enjoy watching your videos. I am definitely a fan. I don't think I understand how this became a book cover from cloth embroidery? Did the printmakers somehow bind the cloth to some sort of paper? Thank you!
Breathtakingly beautiful work - you have such an innate sense of tone and colour in your work - it just flows and the pictures are so realistic. It's been so lovely to watch this video and I hope that you do many more. I bought this book because of the cover! I love your own book too. Please can you tell me what embroidery frame you are using? It looks really solid. I've only used hoops.
New subscriber here! Your work is beautiful! I've never done embroidery but it's on my list of crafts to try. I would love to see more long project videos like this from you! ❤
Very weird question: what kind of chair do you have? I have the same sort of stitching setup as you where I sit at my desk to stitch and I've been looking for a good chair :)
I got it from Ikea a few years ago, but I'd advise getting one without arm rests - you can see all the way through this video that I'm leaning on my left elbow which throws my whole posture off, my chiropractor and a remedial massage therapist have both told me off for this and I've had to ban myself from using the arm rests 😂I think it's a habit all embroiderers are prone to as the left hand can stay in one position while the right moves around but not using arm rests forces me to keep my posture balanced.
@@chloegiordano2129 I've been thinking about getting one with no arm rest as well and the one I was looking at is from Ikea. Glad I'm on the right track :D
Are your letters a form of satin stitch or long and short stitch? They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your work with us. I bought your new book and it is fabulous, with wonderful photographs. ❤️
Chloe es muy lindo lo que haces ,pero me gustaría ver con más detalle lo que bordas porque con cámara rápida no se puede apreciar los puntos que tú haces.Saludos desde Argentina 😘👏👏👏
I know, but I had to cut a lot for time (it was originally over an hour long!), I'd like to do some videos of smaller projects in the future so I can show more real time sewing :) x

Wow! absolutely beautiful. You are so talented! I've only ever used the rounded embroidery frames for making my embroideries. This looks better.

Thank you! I suppose you would call it a long and short stitch except I vary the stitch lengths to fit whatever I'm embroidering :)
Which pen do you use to transfer the design?
It's a Hemline vanishing fabric marker :)
