- We at Retro Snapbacks Melbourne are sick and tired of seeing people get ripped off by other people selling fake Mitchell & Ness snapbacks.
So we decided to make a video comparing fake and genuine hats.

HOW ABOUT MADE IN BANGLADESH?
I also have a Mitchell & Ness hat made in Vietnam and it's 100% authentic.
Typically, Vietnam quality is better than products made in China or Bangladesh.

The "authentic" one costs $24, not $200. It doesn't have a collector's value. It's not made in the USA; both are made in sweatshops in Asia. If one guy pays $24 for his Giants hat, and another guy pays 3 or 4 bucks a pop for his Giants hat, and to tell the difference you have to take them off and compare a dozen different points of quality against a snapback expert's reference, then which guy is the chump?

The chump is the one who bought a fake ass whack product knowing full well it was fake when he bought it.
It's ridiculous really, its a cap, something you put on your head. I've had original New Eras since I was a teen and a fake one I got in Thailand. The fake one cost me 4 bucks and I use it as a knockaround, 3 years later it still looks presentable no damages. The notion that all fakes are crap is a myth, still depends on the quality of the fakes and there are really good quality fakes out there. If I see something i like I would get it regardless of fake or authentic. Get one that fits your budget, If you're fit and know how to dress it wouldn't matter.

Fake snapbacks have a weird shape to them, the brim is typically very thick , colors are usually off, they fit funny, and the stitching is complete garbage. People are always saying "The stitching doesn't bother me." but once your shit starts falling apart, you want to get mad at the seller lol. Fake Jerseys, sneakers, and snapbacks have horrible stitching and that's a sign it's not going to last after a few wears.
Just bought a chargers Mitchell & ness SnapBack. It's got all the characteristics of an authentic however on the bottom of the bill it's not green :/ is it considered fake?

I bought a toronto raptors cap by mitchell & Ness.
I'ts deffo a legit hat i bought it from a legit source and all the stuff you showed here is on my hat aswell but my problem is, the circle sticker ontop/front of the hat that shows its real is really lose since i unboxed my hat. Does this occur more and what should i do with it?

@SouthCalifas619 If you saw their update video, he said that they ARE also made in Vietname, so you have nothing to worry about as long as it has the square bill, stiching of the logo on the inside, and the trademark sign on the bottom of the button.

All of my Mitchell & Ness are from Bangladesh. But I got a new snapback in the mail today and it's from Vietnam. I sat down and compared the two and they both was authentic with sewing, tags, stickers, bar codes, air holes, shape of the hat and the shape of the brim. People liked the Vietnam snapback more than the Bangladesh snapback. If that's the case then I have a perfect knockoff snapback cus I would be a fool to throw that shit in the garbage!!!

It's bad enough that you get a non vintage snap. But if you get a fake non vintage one, then that's just funny.
another big thing is that on replicas the sticker ontop of the brim is a reflective sticker and the authentic ones are a solid colour

These Fake vs. Real videos are actually helping fakes more closer to the real ones.. your best bet is just to buy it from an authorized dealer.. I went to the flea market ( some guy was selling fakes.. ) and the fakes had almost every detail you encountered gone..

Does the yellow writing on the inside only apply to that particular Giants snapback? Because I got a Jets snapback directly from the M&S site (so theoretically it's got to be real, right?) and it has white writing, not yellow.
Unless my eyes have gone bad, but it looks white to me.
I have what I think is genuine cap that's made in Vietnam. Everything looks genuine, mine even has Lakers graphic under the brim and a velcro snap.
Official Mitchell & Ness snapback hats that are really worth it are usually made in Bangladesh while most fakes are made in China or some fakes are in Vietnam.
I got a boston celtics snapback and im wondering if its real or not, the word boston has the stitching joined, it has a grey underbrim, its by mitchell and ness, the writing inside it is white, it has a little mnn ingravement in the centre of the cap, the tag doesnt stick out and the words boston celtics and the logo cannot be seen from the inside, so can someone help me and tell me if its real or fake ?
one thing he didnt mention is most fake snapbacks may look good at first but because the material is shit within 2 weeks the stitching may start to come loose, the colour may fade but most of all the brim of the hat does not stay straight.
to me it matters it makes me feel more comfortable and it keeps the swag clean

I don't understand. I have a Mitchell and Ness that I just picked up recently. It has EVERYTHING else, including the button with the logo on it, the flawless stitching and you can see the letters on the inside. The only thing that's really off is that it says it's from Vietnam.

This guy is completely right, ECCEPT for the vietnam part, mitchell & ness snapbacks are made in Bangladesh AND Vietnam so don't worry if that's the only reason why you think yours is fake.

Yo guys I bought a Pistons script M&N, It has a yellow writing on the inside, it has the MNM logo on the pin inside, it came with a tag on the brim.the button on top is perfectly on the center, i can see the stitching in the inside, but theres no lines on the snap ( 2:06 ). Does that mean its FAKE? Sorry but its my first Mitchell and ness hat, I didn't have the problem with fitted New Eras

You missed another thing, the Brim on the fakes be Rounded. when they should be squared off. Thats why I only buy mitchell and ness for the square brims.

Mine has all the authentic details but it says on the tag made in vietnam. The tag is tucked under perfectly. You can see the stitching on the inside. Yellow writing. And it has MN engraved into it

Most have green underneath, but some have silver or there team colors. some even have designs on them (the underbrim)

+Will Esco Yes. I just bought a hat from the Mitchell and Ness store in Philly, and it has white writing and it says made in Vietnam so they may have a few different sweatshops and also use different colors for inside writing. but the other things he said was valid.

@ThePrezident I have a M&N Kings SnapBack and under the brim, it's kind of beige. So, just cause it has red, doesn't mean it's a fake. I'd say yours is genuine, but check the stuff the guy said and you'll see
