Misinformed reviewer is misinformed. "First major camera update to the Xperia Z range since the first Xperia Z handset". The VERY first Xperia Z had a 13.1MP Camera, then Z1 got upgraded to 20.7MP.
depending on different lighting conditions the colour white gets a slightly yellowish or bluish tint when shot on a camera. so to adjust the colour shift, the software adjusts the balance of the colour white to give it a natural look
Some Colours weigh more than others, White has all the primary colours so weighs 3 times as much as Red, Blue and Green. This is why White stars have a greater gravitation pull then say Mars. You can test this by weighing a piece of White chalk against say a feather that has more than just White tones.
The white balance was a little off and the audio not as crispy as I have to expect from AA. However, I thought it was a brilliant review. Very informative, answered the questions that mattered to me and he was engaging enough. Room for improvement but promising progression.

I preordered the Z5 Premium in India. It came wt normal headphones & fast charger, but I also got an high rest headphones & flip cover for free as part of launch offer. I am using it for three weeks now. The display is amazing to look at. Colours are natural & accurate & it is very bright once the adaptive brightness is turned off. There has been no lag or over heating issues while browsing multitasking watching videos or even when playing games lyk modern combat 5 or asphalt 8 for continuous 3/4 hours. It is a fast & fluid performer. it starts getting warm after 15 mins of playing 4K content but doesn't overheat or lag or shutdown & I have played 4K vids for 3 hours which left my battery at 45% from full. the finger print sensor is fast & reliable, I am a left hander so I use my Middlemost finger & I had no trouble as my finger naturally falls where the power button is while holding the device. The camera at times takes great photos but sometimes in the same scene & lightning conditions it is taking noisy pictures. Something is seriously wrong with the noise reduction software which Sony needs to fix quickly. Same problems doesn't arise with videos however. 4K or 1080p both videos come out great. videos stabilisation & quality is extremely gud. 4K video can be recorded about ten mins or slightly more after which it shutdowns due to heat. Front camera is gud at normal light but at low light the front camera is pretty poor. Battery life in stamina mode & normal usage lasts 2 days but in heavy usage & stamina mode off it drains down to 15 to 20% by late evening. I download some 4K content which I played on my S6 edge & Z5 Premium. Z5 Premium does pop out slightly more. It does look slightly better & 4K videos & photos really look great. Music player application is really good, & the music quality is also great but the true music xperience comes out wt the high res headphones or other good heaphones from monster or bose the normal headphones are very poor.
What about the other features, like the audio speakers, the radio and to me the best mp3 player part of the phone. The audio, screen size is one of the major reason I'm going to get one. I had the Z1 but it got stolen. So I'm going to replace it with the Z5 Premium.

Like in the earlier video you mentioned, concerning Sony's Marshmallow development, I have to disagree with you when it comes to the current interface feeling "sluggish". I've been using my Z3 for over a year now and although there are some (very rare) hiccups (like on pretty much any other Android phone, I might add), the general performance is very good. Also, this seems to be the only major review of a Sony smartphone I've seen in recent years, which makes this claims (I remember Josh making different statements about the Z2, as well, so it does not appear to be a consistent opinion across AA, either). I'd very much like to know, why that is. You also could cut down on some phrases, too, but that's just a minor gripe and not really that relevant, I think.

i'm left handed and own the z5 compact i can easily use the finger print scanner with my long finger (we call it that in sweden don't know what it's called in english).
yeah they allegedly fixed it with an update but i had still overheating issues and i searched it up people still had overheating issues as well even after the update. Mine crashed a lot if i had multiple apps open and if i opened the camera app the whole phone would've crashed until you closed all the apps. It was a total nightmare, thank god i sold the z3+ and now im waiting for the xperia z5 premium ultra.
I just want to ask one thing,what can we do if this phone hangs,it doesn't even have home botton like Samsung or Iphone nor we can remove it's battery.
firstly, from my years of owning these they have never hung - that is part of why i get Sony over other brands. secondly, they usually had a tiny reset button inside the sim tray that you can press witha paperclip.

I own a Sony Xperia Z5, and while it is great, it is NOT WATER RESISTANT! Even on the quickstart manual it says to "NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER"! Also, a friend of mine bought the Sony Z5 premium, and having not read the guide, he took it to the pool for photos. The phone went haywire and died within the hour! Even though all the reviews online and all the workers at shops (both the one i bought from and the one he bought from) claimed it was waterproof up to 1.5 meters under water for 30 minutes! Sony said that water damage is NOT covered under warranty, and now the phone will cost him half its price to fix!!

I still dont understand why people say any phone lags, basically any flagship and even most mid range phones from 2013 and up have almost no lag if any at all. Used the 1st gen Moto G, smooth. 1st gen Moto X, buttery smooth. Xperia Z2, smooth. Galaxy A3, smooth. Even Samsung phones and their shit software are pretty smooth now a days. Such picky people.

Xperia Z5 Premium offers the best video quality on a screen or a phone currently in the market. It has the Best Music player in the marlet. It has the best build quality next to the 6P and Htc10 ( Samsung uses low quality materials). It has second best speakers on a phone 2x front facing , The water proofing lowers the frequency but its way better than the S7 Edge. If youre thinking to buy the best phone of 2016 , The comparison has to be between HTC 10 , Nexus 6P , S7 Edge and Z5 Premium. Id Choose the Nexus 6p or the Z5 Premium , NOT the S7. Samsung is like the corolla of smartphones if you get what i mean.The HTC 10 is a good phone if you dont compare it to its competitiors because then it starts to make no sense for its money.

It's not a 4K smartphone.It's a smartphone with a 4K display.Most of the time the screen is running at 1080p
so what its better that way

+Ilias TheGreek so i have zero problem with 1080p display mode and its quite understandble why they didn't make a real deal all time 4k because the battery isn't good enough to support it which what they should work on instead of 4k display.

Xperia Z5 Premium offers the best video quality on a screen or a phone currently in the market. It has the Best Music player in the marlet. It has the best build quality next to the 6P and Htc10 ( Samsung uses low quality materials). It has second best speakers on a phone 2x front facing , The water proofing lowers the frequency but its way better than the S7 Edge. If youre thinking to buy the best phone of 2016 , The comparison has to be between HTC 10 , Nexus 6P , S7 Edge and Z5 Premium. Id Choose the Nexus 6p or the Z5 Premium , NOT the S7. Samsung is like the corolla of smartphones if you get what i mean.The HTC 10 is a good phone if you dont compare it to its competitiors because then it starts to make no sense for its money.
