Thank you so much for displaying and touring our little island of New Providence (Nassau)! So many people's videos I watch never get off at Nassau. Trust me, I can understand some of the hesitation but if you have a good tour guide, seeing Nassau is amazing! With the onset of increasing sea tourists, our little city's people felt the sting of losing so many land tourists resulting in more aggressive tactics to buy things. The government has really tried to improve the port and bring jobs within it to help both the finances of Bahamians, while also increasing the comfort for our sea tourists to experience some of our culture.
I know that Goombay Punch and fried lobster was amazing! I live in Texas and my mouth was WATERING just watching!
My kiddos and I were there in Nassau about a month ago. My 89 year old grandmother in law took a cruise and Nassau was a stop so we decided to fly down and see her. My father and stepmum live there so we took her and her husband on a tour around the island. The bat cave and sea throne are staples and they enjoyed the chair and the lovely drive and history. We took them to Greycliff and John Watling's distillery for a rum taste testing as well which they enjoyed. To wrap it up, we went by Fort Charlotte and to a family restaurant called Travellers Rest that overlooks the sea where they enjoyed conchy conch fritters and chicken wings before dropping them back to the port to take a picture with local police in their regalia and head back to the ship.
Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Pointe are great, and fun water activity spots. But with a great host like DeeZee or my father who is the son of a renown tour guide; it really opens up Nassau for a fun experience!

Ahhh! Conch and Goombay Punch are my jam! Must-haves in Nassau. That is a pretty drink, Rae. Coconut water from a freshly chopped coconut is my fave though. DisLyfeOfOurs did it again... made me hungry using some of my favorite foods and drinks! 😂Deezy's tour was cool too! 💖❤
