They also did some bad stuff in the past, like setting Big Red Button up for failure by making them port an incompatible engine to the Wii U and not giving them much time to do it, thus giving us Sonic Boom, but not nearly as many times as other big companies which are or used to be in the console market. Also, Sonic the hedgehog 2006 may not be a finished game, but that doesn't stop it from being great. It's more playable than Cyberpunk 2077 was on PS4 and Xbox One, and being glitchy never stopped games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. from being considered classics.

Just gonna correct that this wasn't exactly an OC situation when this "game" was around. Lemme start it by saying that some people in the community had a thing for sprites and flash animation. Some people were actually skilled enough to make their own customized sprites of an already existing character. The example being Sonic in SGB being able to perform attacks he's using in the Smash Bros games while using sprites from either Sonic Advance 1-3 or Battle. I'll say that again, some people in the community have a history of editting or creating their own sprites as well as making animations, myself included back in the day. I left a long time ago. The moment the sprites from this game got leaked, the guy wasn't really aware of the fact some people use custom sprites for (sometimes) animation purposes, so he got butthurt and kept asking people to remove them. Mostly with a pretty rude manner. Until he decided that he's had enough and decided to add that malware thing to his game. tl;dr, he didn't made any OCs, he was just upset people kept using the sprites that he made. I did hear that Muta mentioned sprites instead of OCs later in the video, but I still wanted to talk about this.

yes, literally every sprite got leaked (which was took from the virus version) and the creator got outcasted by the sonic community, also getting banned at SAGE

The game doesn't actually have any OCs, or original sprites for that matter. It literally just has a few sprites modified from Sonic Advance/Battle/Rush but otherwise hardly any of the graphics were made by the developer.

Mutahar whenever i watch your videos you always put a smile on my face, whenever i feel depressed ill watch some of your videos especially the deep web browsing ones. Sometimes ill play your videos on a playlist and fall asleep to them you probably wouldnt care but my dad is facing some things in the hospital and watching these videos really gets it off my mind. Just gonna correct that this wasn't exactly an OC situation when this "game" was around.
Lemme start it by saying that some people in the community had a thing for sprites and flash animation. Some people were actually skilled enough to make their own customized sprites of an already existing character. The example being Sonic in SGB being able to perform attacks he's using in the Smash Bros games while using sprites from either Sonic Advance 1-3 or Battle.
I'll say that again, some people in the community have a history of editting or creating their own sprites as well as making animations, myself included back in the day. I left a long time ago.
The moment the sprites from this game got leaked, the guy wasn't really aware of the fact some people use custom sprites for (sometimes) animation purposes, so he got butthurt and kept asking people to remove them. Mostly with a pretty rude manner. Until he decided that he's had enough and decided to add that malware thing to his game.
tl;dr, he didn't made any OCs, he was just upset people kept using the sprites that he made.
I did hear that Muta mentioned sprites instead of OCs later in the video, but I still wanted to talk about this.

2). Where did the creator run off to after this got exposed?
yes, literally every sprite got leaked (which was took from the virus version)
and the creator got outcasted by the sonic community, also getting banned at SAGE

The game doesn't actually have any OCs, or original sprites for that matter. It literally just has a few sprites modified from Sonic Advance/Battle/Rush but otherwise hardly any of the graphics were made by the developer.
That's... Deeply disappointing
Fun fact: some peoples tried to remove the DRM from the game but .exe file was protected

So let me get this straight. A guy who created an illegal fan game was mad that people were stealing his sprites so he added malware to the game?
No one stole his sprites until he made that incredibly shady DRM, he added the malware as prevention, because he is a paranoid deluded person.
here is a quick summary: dude makes a reskinned sonic version of a 1999 freeware game called little fighter 2, someone steals sprites or he gets paranoid and makes a creepy DRM. ends up getting banned from sonic fan game communities and stuff

What makes this even funnier is that I happen to have known and met the kid who made that video titled "Sonic Gather Battle SAFE Version Download", MBM V2.0 (long story short, he was in a discord server I was admin in about a yr and a half ago and was known as MBM 2019), and he actually slid into my discord dms asking me how tf he can fix his computer because his "virus free" download had infected his entire PC and made it pretty much unusable according to him, and when I told him it was the Sonic fangame he decided to make a video about, he called me a fucking liar and blocked me LMAO. Guess I got the last laugh cause his video is one of the ones Muta had up at the 10:47 timestamp lmfaoo
