As a former GCI Controller, still lean more toward the F-15E ("strike eagle") and A-10 mix. F-15E for Air Interdiction, A-10 Close Air Support.... with addition of TACP/JTAC.
(F-4G Wild Weasel is also a system to be respected)

😂 F15 is a beast, has the better radar and could have better EW. Plus it can be in the air longer and carry more missiles
But the Ukrainians are not flying the F-15...
@@Dukester61615 No they are about to fly the F16 and very likely the Griphon from Sweden as well. And all debending on how those fighters do, will likely open up for other types of aircraft in the future depending on need.
The F15 is great if the Russian airforce will be the issue, the F18 would likely be better if it is ground targets and EW warfare that is needed.

There is no way that the US will give their F-15's to Ukraine. Except for the F-22 the F-15 is the US's top of the line aircraft and having them shot down by the Russians will be a major propaganda loss for them. The M1A1 loses on the battle field showed that the tank was not all mighty powerful as it was portrayed.
It wasn't the top of the line m1a2 sepv3. The US gave them m1a1 sa..
We've got all kinds of old 80s models that still work, but we can't use. Stuff we're giving to other countries anyway
@@alasdairhicks6731 Yes we do but the US F--15 is the top of the line and they didn't sell they to their NATO Allies. These are sold very selectively with Japan and Saudi Arabia that I know of!

When they first started making F15s I’d watch them go half way down the runway then go straight up and out of sight and I watched an air show one flying low level make a hard left so fast I didn’t even think it was possible

Depends on who is in the "drivers seat" & how well they operate the aircraft. If there's a "rookie" behind the throttle with little to no combat experience. Just knowing how a particular system works won't do much good if not backed up with practical combat experience. Just saying.
