Did it matter ? If she did, very very rude, indeed. Elizabeth was notoriously late; she even planned her funeral to arrive late ! At least she had a sense of humor. Her absences were usually attributed to "sudden illness". When I saw her perform live in Chicago, with Richard Burton, the BIG question was "Will she show up.? She did ! And her performance was great.
