    I have a 1938 Husqvarna 310AS that's been in the family since new. It is a beautiful, light and nimble gun.

    We did make Lakelanders/ Varbergers (or whatever they were called when they were made in Sweden). They are supposedly very accurate but hard to manufacture and there has been a lot of drama around the companies and people involved. Spuhr should also be mentioned as they make extremely high-quality mounts as well as other things such as buttocks for the G3 and MP5 that bring them into modern standards, so while they don't make rifles per say they re-invent them.

    For information, the Varberger estate was bought by a excellent gun maker called P-O Stenmark. And yes he does really fine work. www.kolvmakeri.se

    If some one wants to build a fancy rifle based on a M98 type action, the post war Husqvarnas were built on a FN Mauser action and these are sometimes used as the bases for a custom build. The latter 1600 actions can also be made into quite nice rifles.

    There’s a lot of used Husquarnas and Karl Gustavs on the used market here in Russia. They are very sought after and highly regarded. The only concern is the spare parts and sometimes the ammo cause some of them are chambered in obscure calibers.

      You can probably get Zoli parts to work in the Husqvarnas, the Zoli 1900 is Husqvarnas last rifle, tweaked somewhat.

      @@tgsoutdoors Hooka was a small business in the north of Sweden. He converted .22s into what we call "bird rifles" (small caliber rifles for shooting Capercallie in winter, or with dog in the fall). Nothing extraordinary really from an international perspective. He was a very inventive man though. I have an old catalog from his business.

    The Zoli 1900 is a clone of the last model Husqvarna

    • @CandidZulu
      @CandidZulu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be really picky it's a FFV 1900. FFV (Förenade fabriksverken) bought the right to the HVA 1900 in the end of the 70s. They made these FFV 1900 with parts from HVA. Later they decided to develop the design into the FFV 2000, and in the beginning these guns were made in Italy. They had quality issues, and FFV later brought manufacturing back to Sweden. These are the MkII version of the FFV 2000. When FFV stopped all civilian gunmaking, the rights to the 'Carl Gustaf' trademark and all other assets were sold to different places. The rights to the 1900 design was bought by Zoli. These are considered inferior in quality to both FFV and HVA here in Sweden. VO-Vapen uses Zoli actions and embelishes them with engraving and gems to impress rich oil Sheiks. Way over prized guns in my opinion.
