      It would definitely need to be manual swapped, which is an expensive job! 😮

    I give him huge props, it’s really hard to drift a v6 car, especially a mustang. Did it for 2 years before going 5.0.

    • @Spurrr
      @Spurrr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Not really. You just need the right gears. 305 is plenty to drift with

    With the live rear axle it would be harder to drift I bet, I would get a wattslink I heard that it solves that problem

    • @pineaplejuicegg7667
      @pineaplejuicegg7667 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah im 5 months late but a solid axel is not bad for drifting for example the ae86 was really good because of 3 things ,a solid axel an lsd from factory and light weight so in a mustang you o ly need an lsd or welded diff since you got 3 times the power of the ae85 to balance the weight so aint as bad
      EDIT: A 5.0 is a little bit easier since it got more power and the watts li k wouldnt let it slide

    Good vid Skid! Tires get expensive 😅! That tandem shot from the passenger window was dope! The AE86 running around was a beauty. But most definitely adding more Drifting/ jdm to the channel will take it to the next level. My personal opinion.

    • @SkidSociety
      @SkidSociety  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks brother! It’s an expensive hobby for sure but I don’t see it getting any cheaper, so YOLO! I’m glad you enjoyed that handheld tandem shot, definitely one of my favorites from this experience!

    I know this is a year ago. Just need to stay in the power band more. Drifting is violent on the car and even more so on low power cars. Just gotta hit them clutch kicks and stay on it. Carry the speed the best you can.

    Yo what’s this guys Instagram? Just did a drift school in my 3.7 Cyclone and it would not stop spinning out. Have a lot of questions about what to do for mods (and if he had the same problems.)

    • @Zi.Zenior
      @Zi.Zenior 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What tires are you running and what’s your suspension setup?

    • @thatorangez06_23
      @thatorangez06_23 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miguelle Millo Suspension setup was stock. I have since ordered Feals 05-14 Mustang 441+ Coilovers. I was advised that the spin out problem was caused by my differential not locking both wheels. My base model doesn’t come with the Ford Performance Trak-Lok LSD that the GT’s do. My tires were 235/40R19 rears and 255/40R19 fronts.

    • @Zi.Zenior
      @Zi.Zenior 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      RSDrifts hey, the 2011+ v6s come with with same differential as the GTs. It’s an 8.8 rear end with a t lok. Your spinning out isn’t caused by the diff, it’s probably caused by too much throttle+angle. It takes some time to get the rear end in line on mustangs because they tend to snap oversteer if you lift off the throttle too quickly. Contrary to popular belief, you actually need a lot of grip In the rear while drifting these. I wonder if your smaller rear tires are causing the snap.
