I really cherish how it shifts towards a lighter, more positive perspective towards the end. That shift reinforces the notion that there’s hope once you’ve gotten through the darkness that is your depression. The “black shroud” Stevens describes in his song has obviously been weighing down on me today. Perhaps I should ask my brother when I’ll finally be an uncle. The imagery of the song definitely makes the idea of live, as represented by a newborn you can cradle, cherish and literally need to hold on to, fairly appealing.

+NichisStuff Furchtbar, oder? Die kommen auch immer so "überraschend", weil ich's gerade nicht gebacken bekomme, weiter als ein paar Tage zu planen, und mir dann im letzten Moment einfällt, dass ein Feiertag ist. Sonst könnte man ja was planen, oder wegfahren, oder sonstwas, aber das organisieren ist auch wieder so ne Sache...^^
