Watched it for the first time in thirty years having watched a couple of old films from this period which had aged like milk, so was curious whether my memory was playing tricks on me in remembering it descending into absolute chaos, and it does, but it's so much funnier than I remembered! It's absurd! The film throws logic out of the window, in a way they fully lean into, and it's glorious.

@@samsonarshaw2712 to make it simple there is editing for sure and its normal, but they looks very realist because they are electronic puppet. Nowaday and most of the time its either blue or green screen and 3D fake shit..... Btw you can see that between gremlins 1 and 2 there is a big difference about the quality of the animation/effect. They learned so much in Gremlins 1 and improved a lot for Gremlins 2. I still want a Gremlins 3 why not.... Also they where animated a fews puppet and added them to the needed scene.
They’re amazing to watch but god knows what would happen if you ran into them quite similar to the original in the theatre, they were all fun and games until they saw Billy and Kate.
So many sequels go for the "more is more" approach and fall flat on their face, but I think they really pulled it off in this movie. It's genius.
