I don’t remember ever being asked to look between leg bones for a floor before. Amazing to see the bones and skulls. I loved the period costumes and skit!🎬. I am lucky to see the amazing results of everyone’s hard work across The Pond. Cute hair Helen!
on pause 37:51 in late 60's and 70's lived in Baldwin Park,Ca. At last house had a yard in back full of Rocks. My dad and Mom wanted grass which became my job later to cut it. The hole Kays standing in my dad needed to bury those rocks. Holes like hers became to my job. Me with my pick in shovel digging holes big enough to bury VW's That memory came about watching Kaye in her hole. Sometimes even holding a pencil was a chore with the blisters got digging my holes. Went back years later after moved from there. They said is so unlevel. Was much I could still see some of my holes. The dirt had dropped threw our rocks put in them. Maybe one year will be level.I was around 12 when dug my holes was alot of work.My weekends where not always fun. With dad home for me and my other brother he screened my dirt and spred it on the grounds. with my dad.

TH-cam has the early ones. There was one poster who seemed to put them all up. Initials RZ. Don't remember the full name, but his are usually good copies. There are also a lot of new ones here now, that weren't originally released on DVD or Internet. You can watch these well into your old age, where you'll start all over again (as we do), often saying "well we've never seen THAT one!" Great stuff.
There’s also a Classic Time Team TH-cam channel. They have good copies of the early seasons.

I wonder how somebody that believes in the sanctity of graveyards can give permission to dig one day. Not zero, not two or three, but one. As if sinning for one day is good. I am an atheïst, so I don't really understand any of it, but just following my logic, this is next level illogic thinking to me.
Im not sure why it was only a day by day basis. My guess is that is not about the sin, but a matter of the mess and to minimize the risk of graves being disturbed.
It’s about disturbing the grave by moving the bones (which the archaeologist didn’t do). Not to mention the burials are more than 150 years old so no family members would be hurt by this. Essentially, no real “sin” is being committed, but it is more of a matter regarding respect.
The bones were not removed from the sanctified ground, so it's compliant with the religious tradition. Religion has nothing to do with "logic" as it is based on faith. Humans are religious about a lot of things that they don't comprehend fully.
It's not a sin though so 🤷

This show was off TV until just recently so all the episodes from its 20yr run are "old" episodes.
Check out the TH-cam channel "Time team official" where there are 2 new digs with new presenters.
The show was re-run during the lock down and there was a move by the public to get it back and they raise funds and the shows are now on the TH-cam channel 👏
