Women's basketball is constantly growing and evolving. NCAA Women's Basketball and the WNBA continue to be fan favorites for their captivating style!
The women's college basketball season begins with a game against the Michigan Women's Basketball team in Las Vegas on November 4th. Under the leadership of Head Coach Dawn Staley, the team features dynamic players such as Raven Johnson, Bree Hall, Chloe Kitts, and Ashlyn Watkins, with bench support from MiLaysia Fulwiley, Tessa Johnson, and Sania Feagin. Newcomers Maryam Dauda, Joyce Edwards, Maddy McDaniel, and Adhel Tac are anticipated to enhance the team's performance this season.

The suspension on campus was lifted, but not the athletics department. She can return to class.

This could be a problem that means she is going to miss valuable practice time south carolina can still win championship without watkins I think
Just my humble opinion but Ashlyn needs some help in dealing with her emotions (aka temper). Last year you could see in a number of games where she would lose her cool and have a verbal outburst against a competitor, coming to the outburst at the LSU game, which led to Kamila’s pushing F. Johnson. She also had the outburst in the Kentucky game.
I agree. She’s a phenomenal athlete. But I can’t say I’m too surprised by this unfortunately.
Watkins has to be more careful and nore conscious about how she moves these days. People and the devil are always out here to set you up in compromising positions
Ashyln Watkins should be careful what she did and if she wants to be in the Wnba 2026 draft and she needs to go to the Indiana Fever in the 2026 Wnba draft

Nah, if they get the third pick they need to get Raven. Who works better with Kamila than Raven. Ashlyn is a 4 (power forward) same as Angel, if she went there she’d be Angel’s backup. Taking Raven would give them a good point guard who has a history of playing well with Kamila. They’d have Chennedy at the shooting guard, so positions 1, 2, 4 & 5 would be solid, just need a good 3 (small forward).

It’s amazing after the f’d up thing Ashlyn Watkins did or (did not do), we still find time to bring up LSU.
I know LSU is an SEC contender, but LSU has NOTHING to do with this situation.
What this proves is, that Coach Staley isn’t perfect & neither are her players.
Coach Staley is a legend and unfortunately, this brings a bad light to the University of South Carolina, the State of South Carolina, and the athletic program.
