They look great all repotted, Katherine. I used to use the cat litter in my mixes, some of my cacti are still growing in it but I found with some, especially the Haworthia, is they didn’t like it too much. I’ve used it as a top dressing on my seedlings but it’s horticultural grade rather than pet grade and sold as Danish molar clay. Thank you for sharing with us as always, Katherine. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜

Thank you. Where do you get the horticultural grade one? I saw one on ebay but expensive so I’m sticking to what I’m using unless I see a much affordable one, i need many as it’s a part of my mix.

@@PurpleandThorns I got it from Kaizen Bonsai. Bit more expensive than the Tesco kitty litter is but guaranteed free from any harmful substances. I’d just recommend washing the kitty litter first before using it in your mix 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

Great video. Any tips for keeping gymnos happy over winter ?

Thank you. I just keep them dry. No water for 6months and they will reward you with lots of flowers. My gymnos are in unheated greenhouse so aside from being bone dry, I cover them with plant fleece.
Most of mine have loads of flower buds now and soon I’ll be making a video again of them flowering.
Thank you for watching and commenting 💚🌵

You should have rinsed off the roots and cleaned it all up before repotting in new cacti mix. that old cacti mix was really bad. UGH!
