In 1985 I crossed Amphu Labtsa, had camp at Mera La and summited Mera in 4 hours. 2 hours down and another 2 to Thagnak. Only 6 days from Chukkhung to Lukla including the summit hike. Zero tourist facilities anywhere, bought some milk and potatoes from yak herders. Amphu Labtsa was at that time glaciated from the north side, bare on the south side. Almost the whole Amphu Glacier has disappeared in 30 years, like it shows in the video.
