The entire story of the first portion of Dragon Ball's original manga run. Some call this "original Dragon Ball" or "original DB" but most just call it Dragon Ball - the first series animated for the franchise. A lot of people haven't seen Dragon Ball or barely remember it so here's a summary of the whole thing - minus Toei Animation filler!

Wow what a complete and interesting story without any sequels that are completely unlike the main story
Okay but he skipped the perv humor which is a constant early on and continues when it comes to roshi oolong blooma and even lunch...we even get a half filler episode about perving on chi chi..it's not just limited to 2 arcs it died down a hair due to the story focusing on just goku after the general blue stuff but man there's still hints of it for the rest of the series..I did like not having it really outside of 1 moment during the muscle tower section...you can have it but it goes too far too much too long

Out of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball-Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super, I've always loved the original Dragon Ball anime the most. The emphasis on adventure and the unique, weird and wonderful characters Goku meets on his travels is just wonderful. The episode where Goku fights the ninja assassin Murasaki is hilarious.

This was fantastic. I was obsessed with Dragon Ball when I was a kid, but I only watched the first ~50 episodes, and I only vaguely knew the later story arcs from reading summaries. I actually never knew a lot of these details, or I'd long forgotten them.

Seriously, Chiaotzu has more deaths (Piccolo, Nappa, Kid Buu) in canon than he has anything that can be considered a fight (Krillin, Nappa).

It's a strange feeling to know you've watched the series to the end, but the same time not because sometimes you just wouldn't be able to watch an episode when it aired on TV... so you have these gaps in the story. Though as time goes by and you get some of the gaps filled you start to think that you didn't watch some of the episodes you did at the time.

There’s something the director of Toy Story said about giving his property over to Disney was like giving his children over to child molesters.
And Toriyama wanted to end the series after Dragon Ball AND the Freeze saga AND the Cell Saga but Shonen Jump just forced him to keep on chugging. The editors or executives don’t care they just want a paycheck. Art is their LAST priority.

anime is the scum of the earth, peddling its garbage, confusing crap to anyone who'll buy it. It's a waste of time and energy with its garbage characters and unrealistic stories. But Disney, on the other hand? They're the real heroes. They bring us wholesome, uplifting content that warms our hearts and sparks our imagination. They're the good guys, while anime is pure evil

This was such a good video. Thank you for making this, I've always wanted to know the full story of DB but my attempts of watching it failed miserably.
The first series really was the best looking back. Character development (human characters are best imo), comedy, some really nice martial arts, and it ended well.
