I like how this movie show all body actor from head to toe. Many movies or series just crop the lower part because the body language from the legs and feet it’s very hard to acted. In this film we saw Joseph Fiennes show body language and the uncontrolled happiness inside his boots. That’s very brilliant acting.
This scene was very entralling, love how he's lying there disillusioned, then springs to life as Thomas Kent/Gwyneth starts to recite his work with such percision, but then asks her-believing it's a him,to take off his hat-not wanting to be revealed she/he, runs for the hills/docks,to escape detection,as he takes to the chase-then that cute scene in the boat were his contemparay is mentioned, and he gives a look of displeasure. 😴😯😮🚣😒 Good scene!
This movie was/is so good, I love period pieces that give a glimpse into what it was like in times gone by,and that this is about a famous poets life, and how it relates to a classic play -with poetry in it , it was very nicely done, all the characters came to life for me- even the young street erchent who proclaims-" I liked it when she stabbed herself", then speaks up and points out Lord Wesexs attempt to flee the theater as Queen Elizabeth is mentioning the wager about a play that rang true on the subject of love, I'm paraphrasing of course. The show must.... Go on! 🏰 📝🎭🇬🇧🕐🔃🔛
I've always had a vague or elusive fascination with Shakespeare and poetry, I could only try my hand at it when my mind was energized, which seemed far too seldom- hence the elusiveness. But when I'm energized and the fog has lifted, it's fun weaving together words in a way that titillates the imagination and sets the scene for a journey into fanciful states of mind - something you can get lost in.😊🌈🌀☀🌷🌾🍄🌳🌲🌎🌓⚡⚡⚡🐋🐋🐋
Thomas was greatest actor. Even know no never know she was lady until later. One greatest film movie 100%. All actors were 100%. Always enjoy classic hits film movie. Hope someday do more Shakespeare on film movies. One greatest writer. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Totally agree ,"Love" this film,it had everything, even a scene, with a dog-love dogs. I find myself qouting that line of Judi Drenches, "Too late-too late",then she trudges through the puddle in all her finery,so badass. Great portrayal of Queen Elizabeth by Judi ,I think- never meet her Majesty ,but heard about her tanasity. Oh to have lived in the days of Shakespeare-then again,it's probably best just to visit it through fantasies like this, how else could I leave cheesy comments on my phone.😊👍🇬🇧🏰👑
everyone that auditioned sucked. so when he finally heard "thomas" deliver a monologue convincingly, he could almost not believe his ears. with "where did you learn how to do that?" he is referring to how or where did he learn to say things in a way that gives the words meaning, the way actors must do in order to perform.
I think you were making a jest, and if so , I like it! But if by chance, you didn't see the movie, Thomas is a girl, disguised as a boy to obtain a part in the play because women were not allowed to perform in those days.😕😒👸👎🏯
Shakespeare had a crazy fan. Who went upstage to recite poetry but is actually, an attempt to "haress" him. Love seen to "loom" ever so differently with the bloke - William Shakespeare MUST BE gay!
Far be it from me to tell people what to do or say… it’s not really like that. The scaffolding and processes of better while not giving into hate… it’s not all narratives and actions and reactions. The reality based leadership, and information; it’s complex and simple.

Tomorrow's tears come out of the cocoon, silk. In a way, not in the morning, but with trepidation. My life is not set in stone. My tears are not the ones that decrease in time. Love is drunk with breath. Love is the center of a thousand hearts. My tears are the beloved wandering around in clouds. When there was love, I laughed with wine, it was fire. What have I become? It is the beloved who wanders into the fire of love. #SerapKöseli #S #Yeni #new

“Where did you learn how to do that??”
Great acting actress 🙄🙄🙄 speak love romantic poeit line Beautiful
That ain't no man. You can see her real hair right there!
Basically auditions in Hollywood 🎬
They don’t make them like this anymore…
Thomas Kent does not have a mustache in this scene.
Viola added it later (along with a wig) to further enhance the disguise
Why does he ask, "where did you learn how to do that?"
everyone that auditioned sucked. so when he finally heard "thomas" deliver a monologue convincingly, he could almost not believe his ears. with "where did you learn how to do that?" he is referring to how or where did he learn to say things in a way that gives the words meaning, the way actors must do in order to perform.
I think because it was done so adeptly-he was in awe.😮👂💬😀
Because reading eloquently with pause and emotion is a skill/talent.
Because Thomas kent is so into the character of valentino.
Control is a funny kind of thing… the fear and reality and the intersections of better… arts help.
Great
Alguien sabe como se llama el soneto que dice ella de silvia! De que libro de shakespeare!!!.?
Thomas runs like a girl.

+Tim Davis -This plays a interesting effect in the last scene here where Shakespeare kisses Thomas.😘💋🙆

Later Shakespeare became so disallusioned with the theatre that he got into politics and helped set up the republic of Gilead.
And changed his name to Commander Fred Waterford.
OMG YES! THATS WHO IT IS. THATS BEEN DRIVING ME NUTS FOR YEARS!!!!! THANK YOU
