🔴Would you still consider buying a Honda Ridgeline? Why or why not?🤔 🏆2025 Toyota Tacoma Brings Drivers to TEARS..WATCH HERE 👉 th-cam.com/video/9ydAMAOBI7o/w-d-xo.html
I wouldn't buy ANYTHING honda - after 2000, its quality is not even close to what it used to be AND it does NOT stand behind its stuff. Don't ask me how I know...
Being a Ridgeline owner, I can tell that people need to do their homework before buying a truck. If you don't tow much and don't off-road, this is a great mid-size truck! I didn't hear mention about some of the recalls and transmission burn out problems in this video. Also, how many Ridgeline owners actually sold or returned their trucks under 10,000 miles? I plan to keep mine until 200k miles! Even if I had to have the engine replaced, I would keep this truck.
My 08 RTL is at +380k miles. Still running strong. Do regular maintenance goes a very long way. Things will break down, just up keep as needed. It will last a very long time
I don't have a need to tow anything. Info system is more than I need. Use your phone for directions and save 2k. A Comfy ride is what I look for. Great engine sounds good 2 me. Non-Turbo sounds even better. Less headache's down the road. Love the trunk in the bed.
Bullshit. Ridgeline owners know any limitations. The pros outweigh the negatives. Ridgeline owners buy them knowing they are getting a sophisticated all-purpose vehicle. They do not want conventional BOF trucks.
this is a bullshit review. Ask a Ridgeline owner what they think of their Ridge. Only people who are hating on Ridgelines are people who don't own them. I've got 38K on my 22. Just got back from a 1,950 mile roadtrip where I averaged about 25mpg. Best truck I've ever owned, and I've owned them all. Don't be fooled by this computer generated crap review.
Owned one for 2 years and it never gave me a problem other than the head gasket going out at 248k on odometer. It did everything that my Nissan Titan does now. I’ll reconsider getting back into a RL again.
I've had my 24 for over 5000 miles and it's a great truck! No problems, one of the best AWD systems on the market for the price. it can complete most normal tasks, or can't haul as much as a full frame truck, but any smart person will research before purchasing! Or car guys already know. It was only 42000 sticker price for my sport, and way more reliable than anything out there new. Assembled in America, not mexico, like the new junk! More storage space too. The Mitsubishi evolution of trucks, hater's
Ohhhhh yesssss my friend, VERY well said!!! The part of.... ..... "any smart person will research before purchasing and car guys already know" .... goodness I love that! It's been a pet peeve for me everytime there's a review! If consumers looking for a new truck, would simply do the research, they'd already know it's not going to be what they want. There'd be less negativity and fussing about the Ridgeline if more buyers did that! On that note, I'm happy you enjoy yours. I'm a Honda guy, a car guy in general... and I definitely plan to buy one as well. Thumbs up to ya bud.
I researched this truck 5xs to sunday. I have a 24 pilot elite. and love it, wanted something for an occasional pc of plywood, taking smelly trash to the dumpster and taking my 6 dogs to the vet. We got the first 25 black edition ridgeline to hit the showroom. We don't tow, haul bikes or jet skis, or go off road. This tuck is the perfect size for around town driving on the unpaved roads out here in the desert. My wife loves it because it is just like driving the Pilot, and both fit in a parking spot. Being all wheel drive it is ready for a slippery road faster than I am. I have had a dodge durango, toyota tacoma and a giant gmc sierra all terrain, I got rid of the gmc at around 2k so many problems and 6 recalls in the first 6 months. Went 11 years without a pick up and this is absolutely just what I wanted
My 2019 sport is the best truck I have owned over 40 years. Tows my GeoPro 19' RV trailer 4000lb loaded pretty easy. The key and most important thing with the 3.5 engine is to keep up on the maintenance. Oil changes, transfer and rear differental oil change which I do myself, plus Transmission oil which I change every 20,000-25,000 miles. The 6 Speed appears to be holding up well at this point with 55,000 miles. So I think as with most honda's, Maintenance is key.
I have a 24 ridgeline. I love the way it drives and handles. I wish it sat lower like a car. No other complaints. I really wish the U.S. had smaller trucks, or better yet, something like Australia's Holden ute. U.S. manufacturers just don't offer small utes, which is why I eventually bought my ridgeline.
AWD always gets less fuel mileage but is worth the few mpg hit for predictable traction and handling. 4cy turbo trucks are using 2wd mpg figures -- Not apples to apples.
I have a 2013 Honda Ridgeline RTL with AWD drive, around 120,000, keep up with the maintenance and tires, only change brakes one time and has gone through 2 batteries. If you drive this type of vehicle for 16 hours straight on the road must likely you will not be as tired as if driving another pickup truck. The Ridgeline is good bot the older generation like me that likes simplicity compare to all the electronics on the others that at times becomes confusing and a distraction while driving, agree that the navigation is not that good so I install a professional road Garmin navigation unit. The owner must know the limitations on cargo and towing, the vehicle cargo bed was design by Honda with groves on cargo floor to transport Honda motorcycles, depending on the model it can take 2 or 3. The back seat folds up creating a huge cargo space indoor. The tail gate opens like a regular pick up and opens like a vehicle door. Half of the cargo floor can be lifted and becomes a huge trunk that that can be use as a cooler, it also has the rear tire stored. The 6 cylinder engine 3.5 when stepping on the accelerator puts out a lot of power and the vehicle goes very fast, specially when the traction control is off. I would not change my Ridgeline for another vehicle, a friend who is a mechanic said he has customers with Ridgelines going over 200,000 miles.
This truck is amazing. It does everything it’s priced right it has a high rating with consumer report and auto magazines and mechanics online. You’re the only person I ever heard speak negative about it. People are well aware of its pulling capacity and that it’s a unit body I don’t understand why you’re doing this. Is someone paying you to cut up?
Something stinks here. I see Toyota, Honda, and am sure Kian/Hyandai will soon be labelled with problems. Meanwhile, no one talks about the myriad of problems with American cars engines not lasting 50k miles! I think this is a false narrative being perpetrated by those wanting to destroy U.S. jobs! Consider that most Toyota's and Honda's are 'made in America' whereas many of the GMC stuff is made in Mexico ....
Honda in my opinion did miss an opportunity! They could put out a more capable trim level for those who need it. Trailsport should simply be more capable…
I just can't imagine anyone buying a Ridgeline to go off road or to haul heavy loads. It's fantastic if you want a great ride, good fuel economy, plenty of room for 5, something for around the house small chores and dependability. Just what it was made for.
Forwhatever reason car companies fail to market certain models. I liked the original Toyota Venza but never saw an ad for it. They withdrew it from the market claiming it didn't sell, yet brought it back a few years later, but the beloved V6 was gone. 2nd generation Ford Sport Trac, another example. Didn't promote its uniqueness and pulled it for slow sales. A compact crew cab with bed, what's not like?
2019 Honda Ridgeline owner. I am just sick of the recalls. I am afraid to keep the truck. When the Frontiers price drop. I will be selling my Ridgeline.
My brother have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma… He was already close to 20000Miles…. They change the engine at 17k miles because he sound like a diesel… Grinding noise… Last summer they repair the tranny because she slipping and make weird noises… His close to new truck have more rattle then my 12 years old Ridgeline… Except from normal stuff, brake, muffler, tires…I only have one semi-major repair, changing seal on the crank!!! Not bad after 300000 miles!!!
Everyone knows the ridgeline isn't a work truck. It's a daily driver with a lot of cargo space. All these reviews even tell you that. Yet people buy it for a work truck and get disappointed.
It actually makes a great work truck. You can lock all your tool in the trunk. It holds more than you think. And the way the seats in the back go up you can load that up too.
@@solidtmj ya I don't think people know that if you tow something you supposed to put it on S mode also. Saw a video on that. I dunno if that would make a difference in towing. But I don't tow stuff. I lug tools around and pick up furniture so it's good for me.
The problem with the Gladiator and the Colorado is that, at the end of the day, you're stuck with a Jeep or a Chevy. The Ridgeline? You get to have a Honda. Besides Honda's 5000 lb towing comes with each and every Ridgeline. Ranger, Gladiator, and Colorado's base trucks are all less than 5000 lbs. You have to buy the extra towing capacity.
12 Reasons to Have a Ridgeline, No for Real, My Wife Absolutely loves Here 2020 Black Edition, Especially in this Wisconsin Winter time weather, Heat's everything up Quickly even in -24⁰F weather with windshill ratings even lower, So far it's been Her most Favorite Vehicle EVER, Happy Wife You know the rest Just get Her one, I'm looking into getting one myself and Yes She's married to a Man 😅. Built by 🇺🇸's for 🇺🇸's except for the 9 speed ZF by Germany of course.
For what I tow, 5,000 lbs is enough. You're not supposed to over load the truck past its maximum pay load. So that's not a problem either. Glad it's a V-6. I don't want a turbo. So, it's between the Ridgeline and the Frontier
Wait, wut? "This 2025 Honda Ridgeline Proves You DON'T Have to Go Tacoma To Get a BADASS Truck!" th-cam.com/video/B76V1lRl-pE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=FuelForce
What about the recent recall for engine failures? Yeah, 2020 and up aren't included in the recall, but it's the exact same engine from 2017- current. Honda didn't know about the issue until 2020. I am sure these new ones are going to be included as well. I was ready to pull the trigger on one, but the recall has me looking elsewhere now.
Honda and Toyota are the most reliable brands ever, every car company can have issues with quality control especially when trying to develop new engines with more technology. The older ones are more simple. Ya see Honda and Toyota have had recalls, but unlike Ford Chevy and dodge. They fix the problem, Toyota is replacing 100000 engines. If the other brands have issues, oh well, it needs a software update lol, penny pinchers because America is broke! the Point is Honda and Toyota fix the problems.
They've been using the j series motor since early 2000s my TL has a 3.2L which is the same motor as the 3.5L just the 3.5L is bored out more aside from that all the components are the same 🤣🤣 never had and issue with my motor and it's sitting at 220k miles still driving like it's new
Ive had mine for 4yrs and had absolutely NO issues hauling my 17ft fishing boat. You complaint video sounded like a cry baby BTW how can you compare a jeep Rubicon to a Ridgeline for off roading. Buy a cheaper version of a rubicon and it would suck for off roading too.
🔴Would you still consider buying a Honda Ridgeline? Why or why not?🤔

Yes😊
Easily yes
I wouldn't buy ANYTHING honda - after 2000, its quality is not even close to what it used to be AND it does NOT stand behind its stuff. Don't ask me how I know...
You gave 6 reasons to keep it.

I have a 2006 Acura TL still a J series motor sitting at 220k miles and motor wise I just change the oil and filter everything is still stock 🤣🤣
My 08 RTL is at +380k miles. Still running strong. Do regular maintenance goes a very long way. Things will break down, just up keep as needed. It will last a very long time
391k on my 06, just got a 24 Black Edition, love these things
i have 2024 model, best truck i have ever owned

Exactly. We’re not buying a $40k+ vehicle without knowing its limitations.
I’ve got close to 20,000 miles on my Ridgeline and it’s the BEST pickup I’ve ever owned!
Ridgeline gets the best mileage in its class. So how is that a negative?

I do agreed, I do have une, and I’m Happy.
This is more of a bashing on the ridgeline because it’s not a traditional truck.
Owned one for 2 years and it never gave me a problem other than the head gasket going out at 248k on odometer. It did everything that my Nissan Titan does now. I’ll reconsider getting back into a RL again.
4 years and 150k, went everywhere, towed and hauled everything I needed trouble free.

No, Toyota.

Your video just sucks. Sorry. It is not an off road vehicle….most people don’t drive their vehicles off road
Ugly? Compared to what. Your probably a hater and have never driven one .
Not really ugly, but it looks like a big car with a bed....
I believe it was best said when C&D called it a "Gentleman's Truck". I would sell mine ... so I could buy a Black addition.

Forget it.
Dont blame the truck for incompetent humans
I prefer the original first model, which should've been kept with upgrades stronger engine and drivetrain with offroad options.

Idk about others but my RTL is at over 380k miles and still going strong
Not me! Best pickup 🛻 I’ve ever owned.
Most standard base model full size pickups can only tow 5000 lbs
Honda Ridgeline derangement syndrome😂
These guys are based in Poland. I wonder how they decided this was going to be their channel topic.
Stop scaring people off - I think you could find title that is both "attention-grabbing" and respectful.
If this is true why can't I find them used?
Good point. I have a 2019 Touring and love it. It towed our small travel trailer very well.
All of the downsides mentioned are upsides to me.
Most American parts of all pickups
Infotainment is a distruction😂
very funny review seems being paid to say things is obviously knew it.....
This video was brought to you by Toyota
I am on my 5 one. There very over price and what he's saying is truth.
The things you mention are all peanuts, what about the timing belt, injector issues.

Bullshit. RLs fill a niche that certain owners are looking for. I'm on my second one.
This video gives no real reasons to not buy a Ridgeline
