Staaker Drone Chases Dirt Bike Rider at Rowher Flats OHV ✧KTM 4 Stroke Trail Ride✧

- I took my Staaker Drone to Rowher Flats to film my KTM 4 stroke dual sport motorcycle and me on the trails. The Staaker Drone does a good job of keeping up without having to control anything. You do have to be careful as the Staaker Drone will fly into trees or anything else in it's path as it has no sensors. But the footage from the Staaker Drone is worth the risk.

That drone amazes me every time I see the footage... it does such a good job with tracking you! This video reminds me I need to get out to Rowher... there is a lot of fun stuff over there!
When the terrain allows it can get some great footage but I have flown it into many a thing. This was the first time I got off the fire roads and rode on the smaller ATV trails at Rowher. It was a huge step for me but I still ended up crashing and almost landed off the side of the trail (yes the cameras were rolling, a video will be coming). Have to wait till fall to get back there, way to hot right now.
I love the drone stuff. I wish we had more wide open places. Sometimes being in the trees all the time gets smothering feeling. I’d love some miles of wide open skies like the desert flats. I need to take a trip. 👍
You're right, there is something special about riding in wide open places. The sense of scale of the landscape is on a whole other level than being in a heavily treed area. One of the wildest places I have ever ridden is El Mirage Dry Lake that is perfectly flat, level and hard and 6 miles long by 1 mile wide. It's like riding in an optical illusion, the eye has nothing to focus on.
Once again, your production quality is some of the best on youtube.
It takes many hours of practice to become a skilled rider. After many more hours of editing I think I'm finally getting the hang or it! : D
You are screwing up with my brain, somehow I watch your videos, even though I don't care to see the rear wheel spin or learn anything in the riding process, and I never really liked drone footage but I always wait for the crash, haha, you are a very lovable man I give you that, but do me a favor, put in the 2nd gear next time, it's time for the show to start.. Remember you have 6 gears.. And I'll watch till you reach the 6th... Haha, I love when you break your stuff, those are the best videos, because they way you have your setup it's like teasing mother earth to hit it... Love you man
Hahahaha...what can I say, I'm slow! I may never make it to 6th gear but I'll make it to 3rd one of these days. I also am waiting for the earth to gobble up my drone again. I know it's coming I just don't know when it will be but hopefully I get it on camera.

Yeah, no trees to worry about. The good news is it wasn't the clutch weight rubbing or the bolts coming loose. The bad news is that it's something else in the engine that I have to find.

One of the great things about riding by yourself is that you never feel pressured to ride at a speed you don't want to!. I think you might be on to something, the balloon drone. Tie one end to the bike, turn on the camera and you're good to go!! Best of all it never runs out of battery power. : D
Man that drone is really awesome! I checked it out and would buy one in a heartbeat if it included a camera. The tracking is amazing!
The drone does a good job of tracking for being completely autonomous. It does have it's quarks though but doesn't everything. I hear that Staaker is developing the next generation drone and is suppose to be smaller and lighter and it might have the ability to have two drones tracking one controller (though I am not sure why you would need that). I have Hero4 Black that will do 4k at 30fps that I can donate to you if you want it, just let me know. If you want to see the drone of the future look at the Skydio R1 that has 15 sensor cameras to automatically fly around trees, poles, etc.

Love the drone footage. My bike is a plated 2 stroke, do I need a sticker to ride off road in Ca.? Ride safe my 2 wheel friends.
Drone footage can give you a completely different view of a ride. California has VERY strict rules about two strokes. You can not plate a 2 stroke in CA and unless it is an old bike you may need a red sticker (which they are trying to outlaw completely). Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. As a tourist with a plated out of state 2 stroke I was wandering because some states don't require a sticker like Utah if your bike is plated. I should be able to get a green sticker in Ca. My bike is old, 88 KDX 200. And Criss's (aka) V.R. brain was already missed up, HAHA. Ride safe my 2 wheel friend.

Thanks, I try to keep the quality up. Later in the day I did crash on a narrow trail and landed right on the edge, freaked me out. And yes there will be a video of that coming soon!

Thanks. I think the name of the trail is Spring Trail. It starts just across the road from the 'mud pit' in front of the first staging area as you drive into the OHV area.
I was up there this Sunday best time of my life really enjoyed practicing going up rocky hills. Keep up the good work I always look forward to watching you’re next adventure.

Have you received your Skydio 2 yet? I just put a deposit on one for batch five due in December.
I placed my Skydio 2 order last October. They recently sent me an email saying they were ready to ship my drone. I paid for it two weeks ago but I haven't heard back from them. Hopefully it's on its way.
Isn’t it the worst when you damage something and don’t even get good footage of it? I recently had a pretty good crash that bent the aluminum on my Cycra hand guard and I had to replace it. The worst part was my memory card was full of about 3 hours of boring crap and I didn’t even get my good crash. That’s the story of my life lol
Isn't that always the case. Even worse is when you forget that you turned off the camera and think it's recording. That one drives me nuts!!
