Behringer makes many very accurate clones of classic pedals. Although in a cheaper enclosure. I had borrowed this pedal some years ago. This is a Boss FZ-2 Hyperfuzz clone, which is in turn a Univox Superfuzz clone. Setting 3 in just a clean, treble or bass boost depending on how you set the EQ meant to overdrive an old tube amp like yours. The best thing about these mass produced pedals is that they can be easily replaced if something happens to them on tour! I have a custom made germanium mk I tonebender and rangemaster treble boost. When I get there in a few months you can borrow them if you like! The unpredictability of the germanium transistors in the tonebender is sick! The feel and tone of the pedal changes with the temperature of the room and makes for some adventurous playing!
Shocking Blue had a stunning goddess fronting that band. When I think of the classic clothes, hair styles and makeup of the late 60's and early 70's I think of her. Venus is still my favorite song by that band.
Riff that you’re playing in Fuzz 1 mode is “Send Me A Postcard” from Shocking Blue. It’s funny one of the first songs I played on mine was “Long & Lonesome Road” from them
A lot of people diss on behringer gear. Well mostly their recording gear, and I kinda get that. But they make some decent cheap pedals spot on. As well as the synth clones! Can’t wait for the MonoPoly Behringer coming out. Been looking for a fuzz to match my Tech 21 blonde DI pedal to API512C. May grab this for the price, as I think it could be a great pairing. Good little demo!
Love that first mode, had that 60s fuzz sound for sure, any other fuzz recommendations? The old ones are so fucking expensive it’s nice to hear something like this that still sounds good
Not sure but I've got one that I've been tinkering on for the past couple years, it's sounding pretty cool! Perhaps after the new dream machine record comes out
God, that plastic enclosure depresses the shit out of me. Someone made a video about rehousing these. Maybe that's the way to go ... Some people buy this thing ONLY for that boost mode you hated, BTW. I guess it's good for pushing a slightly overdriven amp.
You’re Welcome, M&D ❤️
Hey it’s the year 2023 now and they never stopped making these. Cheers
They still make them, just got mine from Sweetwater 🤘

Great video. Was always curious about that pedal. I dig that buzzing bee 60’s sound. “Heart of Soul” song has a great buzzy sound.

Sugarloaf - Green Eyed Lady😊
I like boss ds1 for fuzz even though it’s distortion but you can get a real nice fuzz

Behringer pedal's are great!! and I love that fuzzzz. You should check out their UV300 pedal.
Nice, sounded like Green Eyed Lady riff in there. I'll have to check this out for myself and see if it's good with my Vox Jaguar organ

They make this, but stopped making the Ultra Fuzz (FZ-3 clone).

This guitar actually looks like an axe.
Ovation Breadwinner! I drooled over those as a teenager.
