Keepitsecret i agree that the conquest map is terrible and it stopped me from playing conquest while i played it at high ranks first. But still this set is for sure in my top 5
This set was amazing, but the looks on the Ferryman's faces broke my heart after that. Those boys played their hearts out and they deserve to feel proud of the season they had. Amazing set.
One of the BEST sets in all of smite history, from team stories, gameplay and crowd hype. AMAZING, truly amazing, reverse sweep to go to worlds is crazy
Part of what makes it good is when one of the teams is an underdog. Both of these teams spent time as a top team this season. More just sloppy inconsistent play than riveting upset potential you know that i mean?
in the final game if you analyze it, it all started when sobek plucked maman with no one in the back to kill her, because they were in midlane and not in the jungle zone, where maman was plucked in. The second mistake was rata in the same fight delaying too much at the sky, if only he ulted against kephri so he cannot ult with dardez, dardez would have gone down and freya would have been able to go to the sky, so maman would have failed her ultimate, and probably she would have been next Freya's victim eating all of her ultimate. In the meanwhile paul, wich was running away from bellona was focused on saving himself from bellona's ultimate with a panick beads and running away instead of seeing that the main flow was concentrating on freya, obviously , as it has to be. He made the mistake of wasting his beads and running into the backline just to spectate his team diying instead of diving into coast, which would have been a successful attack, provided that rata would have clue he had to peel kephrii. But not enough happy with those fails, they decided to go fire, with excellent burn, but with basically 0 secure, for some reason paul again spent hes only skill to secure fg, because as you can see he was just using autos in the very last second, and freya was on cooldown. This shows how important it is too understand deeply enough your god even if it is op, they didn't know that freya is extremely vulnerable to be stealed in the last hits against fire giant. Even with Freya and set burning down fast the objective, they still have weak instants which they are vulnerable to get stolen. The second mistake there was Paul's too, instead of spreading he stuck to Freya and in that instant both got ulted and taken down. And their final biggest mistake was chasing that bellona, showing overconfidence in their skill and underestimating jade dragons. The weakness of the strongest is and it will always be their overconfidence. I think this game was the real final, the tension is so much stronger than in the final game, and it really feels jade dragons pushed to their limits. The finals last game was just correct farming and precise objective calls.
This happened before, a very long time ago. So much so that I don't even remember the set. But there was this (probably) top 1 set ever that was twice as good as the finals. Season 2 or 3 maybe? If I remember correctly it was also a semi final.
Just made it through the first game, but it was 25 minutes of stalemate. First 30 minutes are exciting to watch but how are games supposed to end. It was hard to watch
I'll never understand how va Gyno i mean Cyno sticks around this long at one of the more competitive positions in the league. The god selection has just been abysmal ever since he won a worlds with ne zha. It's crazy. You couldn't pay me to have that guy on my team over literally any rookie
@keepitsecret-dl1prit's because he's (at least was, I don't follow him anymore since season 6 or even before) GM in all three ranked modes. Hindu, DM and Finch knew a lot also. RIP Finch.
This was one of the most exciting sets in SWC history. Hope the finals is just as good!
It was
I’d argue it was better
TOTEMMMMM
This comment aged well. TOTEM OF NIKA!!!!
And we had the main caster say "they have what they need" 453 times, such a memorable cast
Best set of Smite i've seen live by far.
Keepitsecret i agree that the conquest map is terrible and it stopped me from playing conquest while i played it at high ranks first. But still this set is for sure in my top 5
Season 1 finals was amazing, but this was INTENSE
@keepitsecret-dl1pr you are such a loser

Doesn't hold a dimly lit candle to the bo5 reverse sweeps in s6 and s7 personally, but just my opinion.

@@HW-ow9zp you're insane if you watched this set and thought, damn that was sloppy
I am so pissed I didn't get to watch this live. Oh my GOD that was exhilarating!!
2:04:55 The person on screen says "We're gonna have to" at the exact same time as the caster.
best set ive seen in a long time, nika goat
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nika is criminally underrated
How is he underrated if he’s the most loved solo laner in all of smite
He’s not underrated. lmao
Underrated solo laners would be people like duckey but even then he’s had a great year .
Dardez popped off and really turned the game for them. Nicka capped it off
Loved the crowd cheering, everytime Nika took the Totem. So funny and class!
Baskin would regret that death in Game 3 so bad
Them bringing out the broom at the end is crazy
Dave's speech before the start of game 5! oh man! This guy gets me pumped to watch this game!
Love getting to see a Jing Wei in SPL! She’s pretty much all I play besides Artemis
Dolson was trying to channel his inner Aragorn on that speech before the last game
They were gonna retreat but Nika was like;
"Nah! I'm done with this set."
4:40:55 Lasbra using the last of his mana to slow Cyno instead of any other ability is actually cracked af.
This WAS the defacto SWC championship. Top 2 teams in the world.
No fucking way you guys brought Dave back for worlds but still had someone else do the chair add what the FUCK
Does anyone know the song at 2:51:07
polarbearmike never drops the ball, keprehi was the reason they won
No diss to pbm. But he has definitely thrown 1 or 2 semifinals in his career
polarbear es una bestia!! y su carry es de los mejores q he visto (full agresivo sin miedo)

@@lucasteles3574 Yea s2 semi final of epsilon
@@xslayerxbosssmite9645 thank you for reminding me. I'll even watch it now.
G5 Fg steal will forever haunt me in my dreams
I still cry at this sometimes
I wonder if the player ever "had what they needed"?
Gore the Hutt thinks so

No way holly crap
FIRE MATCHES 🔥🚒
3:57:29 is it just me that hates how much casters yell these days?

God I hate the way Cyno plays this is terrible smite gameplay
wow ferrymen had more Asians and they lost just incredible
😂😂😂😂😂
Lolz
Shows that race doesn't matter grind does
😲
Wierd bias felt against the dragons from the casters
yeah they always did that 😂
They were the crowd favorite but yes I think it was too unprofessional
They almost always showed bias towards Aror’s teams so it was a nice switch up
It was worse against the warriors
