i’m thinking of getting this ducky one 2 mini with the cherry browns as my first mechanical keyboard, but i’ve read lots of comments online where people say theres an uncomfy “scratchy” feeling when the push down a key. can you feel this and if so, does it go away after lots of use?
Sorry if this is coming 3 months later, but the only way you'll ever be able to fix scratchy switches is to lube them and cover them in film, and that would mean taking apart your keyboard. Even then, that might not even fix your issue. Also (imo) if you want a good tactile switch, don't go with anything Cherry MX makes because their tactile-ness (not sure if that's a word lol) is barely noticeable unless you get Cherry MX Clears. My personal recommendation would be either Kahil Box Browns or Kahil standard browns. The "bump" from Kahil's switches are way more noticeable and gives actual feedback to you when you press a key. Plus they are a tad quieter so if you have family around you won't have to worry about bothering them, and the sound they make is much more satisfying than the MX Browns. Is there more pressure needed to be put when pressing down the keys compared to red switches? Because im considering trying brown, the current problem i feel with my ducky red switches atm is that i would like to need to put more pressure before the actual keystroke activates itself.
Coming from experience I’ve used the switch’s and I feel like it’s more the the slight bump than the pressure needed to activate the key, but ultimately yes you need to apply more force than reds

I guess the only problem is that I’ve been so used to the 60% so when I switched to the 100% I had a problem typing. I think that the ducky brown switches are the best switches available you will probably get used to it after a month or so
