Your 100% right, customer service is so important. The ignorant don't realise how manners can go a long way. You could have the best food but without the basic mannerisms it will count towards nothing. Humility is also very important and something alot of people forget this very simple approach. I hope you continue looking around for good food and I can make some suggestions that will have you jumping for joy!

Try Nargis Kenyan Restaurant opposite TRS Apartments and not too far from Southall station, you will find it on Google maps. The family grill is awesome with so much meat so make sure your hungry, samosas are nice, chilli mogo is tasty and the falooda dessert hits the spot!

I have been going to namak mandi tooting since it's opened. Never had an attitude issue with anyone there. Most of the staff there is permanent and I know some of those guys on personal level. Very cool calm and collected people.
Always respectful and cheerful even in the busiest times.
Yes they are afghans so don't expect English values from them. They have own values and they practice those very well.
And mr vlogger, after carefully watching your video I think you will be the politest person to talk to for very long, anyway. 😅
I don’t expect English values from our own people I know we are different I wish I recorded when he was being rude and posted that too it was the fat chef who was problematic he even wanted physical fight for the kebabs being recorded lol I know the problem was the flag which he couldn’t handle and Ofcourse I will be the politest person if somebody wants to talk but if somebody wants to fight for no reason I might not be an easy target for them you know

However, to a certain degree I disagree with the review.
You may be right about the customer service, I agree it goes a long way.
Importantly, I've been visiting here since 2018, Always had great customer service.
Additionally, this restaurant has the most authentic Afghani food.... I've also tried it multiple times in Peshawar & Lahore.
Im not sure why you didnt like the food, may have been a different chef or something else.
I'd suggest giving it another try buddy.

Thank you so much for liking the videos my brother I think chef was one of Pakistan haters so when he saw flag he couldn’t handle it and hate came out so he started by being rude and he actually said I’ll slap you if you make a video of the kebabs even though I told him he won’t be in the video and the owner agreed and his words were enough for me to catch fire in my mind but I controlled because I was wearing flag I did t want to fight someone might record me and make it viral and everyone would thing all Pakistanies fight abroad etc so I controlled myself and then watch the video again and look at the karahi you’ll see it yourself there’s no garnish nothing on the karahi and starter was sent after actual food and was burnt too so they messed it willingly and I do food review whatever is given to me I review that my brother so experience was so bad I wont go there ever again brorher

I have been to many eateries, where staff has not the best behavior, but after seeing that it can be a opportunity to advertise your place they bahave very good even on the face of camera. But aftervwtaching this i will never go to Namak Mandi tooting.
I know my brother the problem was my dress for him I’m sure he would’ve behaved different if I wasn’t wearing the flag but obviously they should concentrate on customer services rather than beef back home with this mindset they won’t go far I’m sure

I live in tooting for last 12 years and in that 12 years i only been to Namak Mandi for 1 time only and after that never looked at it again and surprised to know their food taste is still shit
It’s not just taste but the customer services is shit I hardly controlled myself for knocking his teeth out I was wearing flag didn’t want to creat a scene for someone to record me so all the Pakistanies would look bad if I was in my normal dress he was gone and the food they gave me was not good at all

Namak mandi was excellent when it started out. They did not have much traction back then and I am talking very early days, about more than 10 years ago. Everything was fresh, made with quality ingredients. Last time I went there about 5 years ago, really busy and crowded, over priced and absolutely rubbish. During the early days, Hamid was the head chef and running the place and he was a very nice and courteous guy. I don't know who runs the show now but the place is just awful and the food is worth putting in a drain.
That’s what happens when someone gets the name and can’t digest it customer services is below zero and the food wasn’t good at all they won’t go far with this attitude

First of all I’m a food vlogger I review food and customer services of a restaurant people watch the content for a reason they want to know about the place before they visit so I don’t want to lie to them and secondly I review on the basis of my experience and that’s what all the vloggers do it wasn’t just a personal visit if that happened to me visiting with the family or friends I would’ve broke his jaw before making a complaint so I don’t wana lie to people and the intention is not to destroy anyone’s business ofcourse but to let them know to learn how to deal with people respectfully I hope they won’t treat anyone like this again and lastly eaither you’re indian or just impressed by them so you can learn from them if you want I’m happy the way I am ALHAMDULILLAH I am a Pakistani and will be for sure INSHAALLAH
