The cool thing is considering where Season 1 left off, this kind of works perfectly for a Season 2 opening. Not to spoil things for people who might see this comment, but as someone who read the manga the nanosecond after finishing the anime, this song is a lot like the actual opening in how it subtly references a few things and themes from the manga. I feel like if animated it would be equally stuffed with references and symbolism as Kick Back, and when you rewatch the season you see all the pieces fall into place.

I'm gonna be honest with you. Completely. While I can't say it's much better, since the original is still pretty good, this is definitely better than the original. The original barely has any intensity in it, and doesn't show nearly as much violence as it actually contains, which this does, in both the feeling of it and the literal visuals. This perfectly encapsulates the two main characters personalities, and shows a wide array of visuals which keep pace with the audio and actually fully represent the lyrics at the time and the whole show. This would have earned the show much more recognition if they showed this as the first bit of chainsaw man anime content, guaranteed. Amazing job, man!!
