When i was playing back yard ball, Moss wasn't heard of... we were into real receivers like, Rice, Brown, Largent, Swann... sht like that! Randy was great but that attitude and mouth are not conducive to what coaches are trying to present! That was Randy's burden to bare...

Randy Moss changed the wr position. Before him, you still saw 5"11 wide receivers in the NFL. Even the bigger more physical receivers were barely reaching 6"2. Here comes this young guy with basketball player height at 6"5, who was just running past db's with his long strides, and going way up in the air to come down with passes. Now you rarely see receivers less than 6"3

@Marquis De Sade His first year in Oakland he had 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns with garbage quarterbacks. His final year in Minnesota he had 13 td catches while dealing with hamstring issues for part of the season. The only year he had that was bad in that stretch was 06 in Oakland, so that's one "wasted" year. A 1000 yard season and a season with 13 td catches are not wasted at all.

Honestly, you have to give him a lot of credit for starting the hype that would follow Marshall all through the last part of the 90's and into the early 2000's. The 1999 team could have played with/beaten anyone. I'm an alumni of Marshall and I'm pretty proud to be associated with the University that had the likes of Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, Byron Leftwich, Rakeem Cato, Ahmad Bradshaw, and a host of others who have come from that great program! Karxon Antwon Chad Pennington wasn't a horrible QB in the NFL...He started 81 games and has a 90 passer rating for a career

Moss has said that he wishes him and Pennington had gotten to play together at the next level because he was the best QB he ever played with.... But yea other than that, maybe you have a point 1🤦‍♂️

unbelievable talent and skills, of course. Did any other football player add his name to the language? There's video of him explaining fine points of coverages to Belichick,--he's as brilliant as he is physically gifted

He doesn't have the career tds, receptions, or yes as rice and no one ever will, but he is the most talented and feared receiver of all time that has to be undisputed! Fun to watch as I am a vikings fan!

Peak Randy Moss was the best at the position ever. The size, the speed, the physicality, the hands, and the way he adjusts to the ball. He completely outclassed NFL defensive backs let only MAC defensive backs. Jerry Rice was more durable, Johnson a little bigger, but Moss was everything you could imagine in a receiver.

He was supposed to go to Notre Dame but something happened. If he had stayed at Notre Dame he would have been a shoe-in for the Heisman Trophy. Lou Holtz called Bobby and told him about Randy. He went to FSU but was later let go, which I believe Bobby and Lou Holtz sorely regretted. Randy ended up at Marshall and set the college world a blaze.

The only time I ever Agree with Skip Bayless. U give me one Game or even 1 play and Im taking Randy Moss at WR. Idc that Jerry has all the Records. Imo Moss, LT, and Reggie White are the 3 Most Dominant Football Players to ever Grace a Football Field.
