People forget Moss was dominating the league with the Vikings under the old rules before 5 yard contact defensive holding penalty was implemented (to help Peyton Manning) as well as dominating under the new rules in his later years. Now with the "defenseless receiver" rules it's even more favorable to the WR. The way Moss dominated with Minnesota under the old rules shows his Strength in a way the new fans that never saw him in his prime don't usually comprehend.
@@SonSolo wasn't inforced. I've seen plenty of old games and footage. It's like telling someone who watched NBA in the 90s that "hand check was always illegal, nothing really changed". The style of play was drastically different. You NEVER saw Defense Holding called when Moss was with Minnesota. P.I. was inforced but not holding. If ball wasn't in air that was always let go. Everyone remembers the rule change (either in definition or serious change in enforcement) after Bilichek Patriots completely shut down Payton Manning in cold weather AFC championship. Back when Pats had guys like Ty Law. I remember when Panthers lost to Pats in the SuperBowl Steve Smith ahd a great game but said all Law did was "hold him and spit in his face". Defense Holding wasn't inforced til 1 or 2 seasons later. Moss Vikings years easily predate this and style of play on defense is DRASTICALLY different (much softer) in todays game to anyone paying attention. Then there are the other rule changes like Targeting and Defenseless Receiver which obviously came much later.
Thomas DeMay....I don't know about that bro. I know what you're saying, but my dad played high school ball when the rule truly didn't exist and he would always talk about how much easier receivers had it in the 80's and 90's. I remember the rule being enforced as a kid, maybe not to the extent it is now, but Moss and the 90's/ 2000's receivers weren't playing like they did in the 60's and 70's. You're talking like Moss played in that era and is not even close. He definitely had the luxury of the 5 yard rule, unlike the players in the 60 and 70's.

Most 👏 dominant 👏receiver 👏ever 👏
People forget Moss was dominating the league with the Vikings under the old rules before 5 yard contact defensive holding penalty was implemented (to help Peyton Manning) as well as dominating under the new rules in his later years. Now with the "defenseless receiver" rules it's even more favorable to the WR. The way Moss dominated with Minnesota under the old rules shows his Strength in a way the new fans that never saw him in his prime don't usually comprehend.
Thomas DeMay.....bro I agree Moss was dominant, but the 5 yard rule has been in place since I was playing pee wee football. Actually since 1978.
yeah the was made cuz of Mel Blount
Size advantage lmfao don't matter no one in fuck is gonna cover a 6'5 receiver or be able to match the physicality and keep up speed wise as well
The biggest mistake the Dallas Cowboys made was not taking Randy Moss. GOAT!

G.O.A.T 🐐
Blessed I got to see moss play
Him and TO are easily the most talented WRs in NFL history.
Randy Moss is better than T.O., but T.O. had a great work ethic, and he was phenomenal after the catch. His strength made him a handful to bring down.
Randy Moss has the best contested catches
Miss with the purple 11’s way back then
Greatest WR I’ve ever seen
He's no Steeler, but i had mad respect for Randy. Tbh i always thought he was a humble man👍👉👊
The goat at the posistion!!
Seen lot's of one handed catches in my day....2:43 is by far the most effortless i have ever seen.
Randy moss is 1 of the top 3-wide receivers ever to play the game of football hands down 💪
It's like watching Jordan highlights..
Jordan showed up In the playoffs though
@@ricklozano50 Is that why Moss has all the Vikings WR playoff records despite never playing with a truly elite passer in Minnesota? 🤔
Good Lord look at what he did to Revis who was THE guy back then. he was #1 Db In the league. smh wow
J Soul yeah he got cooked, he called moss a slouch
J Soul look up the stats...besides that one play Moss struggled against revis...prime revis is maybe the greatest shutdown corner ever just off the sheer great receivers he shutdown...
Revis had 3 really great years (2008,2009 and 2010) and has pretty much been living off his reputation since.
J Soul
Superfreak made Revis look like shit...facts
Yo he shitted on Revis over in over
