And no restaurant. That just baffles me. Disney encouraging guests to leave the property to go find food for themselves. Also, I am not into that Vegas-like mid-century modern style. But a lot of people are. It looks pretty bland.
Yes, it’s kind of a desert re restaurant availability. You’ve got some available outside the new villas, and luckily the Disneyland hotel property is quite compact, but you’re right : it’s an often heard complaint re lack of food. They’ve just opened the bar outside of steakhouse 55 after a long dry spell. ;). Generally, it’s a bring your own pop tarts situation. ;).
Yeah this aesthetic is not my favorite
The paint by movie thing is neat, BUT this is the DISNEYLAND hotel. why not theme the DVC tower to Disneyland?
Ahh that artwork in the frame was the same as the mural on the wall in the lobby
This new "Disney" DVC tower is definiatly intetersting, it is very much like your standard hotel with "Disney" touches and it does not represent this brand's old quality enough. Disney's new hotels/rennovations are usually overpriced and destroy the hotel and I believe that they have partially ruined the Disneyland hotel through this. Couldn't they have done it based on a land in Disneyland like Main Steet? Tomorrowland?, it kinda lookes like a mess of clash of concepts that weren't well thought out.
The DVC pool isn’t exclusive? Nice to know I don’t need to spend all that money on dvc.
The name “Tomorrow Tower” was sitting right there.
Other than the mural, the lobby looks like any budget hotel anywhere.
Enjoyed the content, but may I suggest a puff filter for your microphone? The P's are very pronounced, especially when wearing headphones. As for the hotel, its hard to imagine a world were the same company (Disney) who did the Polynesian resort at Disney World, also made this? I mean not every hotel needs that level of detail, but we are not talking about a value hotel here, but a DVC resort!
10/10 for the coverage, well done. As for Disney, 4/10 for what they made. As time goes on I see Disney spending so much to make something that has far less charm than what came before it, which was ultimately less expensive ( even by today's dollar ). This is another "Courtyard by Marriott" with color splashes everywhere, and mere "nods" to the past without actually trailblazing something new and interesting.
I agree. I'm pretty disappointed with the design. It's a disney hotel, not your regular marriot hotel. It should have that magic touch to it. My top fav hotels are aulani and the animal kingdom lodge. This is just not it.
The kids staying there would rather play on a pool waterslide instead of that Steamboat Willie splash pad..
Meh. Looks mid century-ish with modern touches.
Feels too much like where you stay on business trips. No relaxing vibes at all.
According to the lobby mural, the spot with Raya is undeserving. I never liked that movie. I think Asha from Wish would be a better choice.
