Growing up my mom had one of those Hallmark light up candles. I always loved it and looked forward to putting it out every year when we decorated. We have a beautiful large fiber optic pumpkin that we bought in Salem Mass in the early 2000’s. My favorite decoration. Has special meaning because my “late” husband picked it out. We went to Salem the weekend before Halloween with our boys. Best family trip we ever went on.

Great idea with the books. I've put an Edgar Allen Poe book and Dracula book on display for Halloween but I've never thought about these. We definitely have some stored away along with "Scary stories to tell in the dark".
I love the Goosebumps series. I have all 62 books, the majority of them I bought when they were brand new and kept them all these years. I found my missing ones at thrift stores in good shape for 50 cents each. I am hoping my daughter will read them someday. Just found your channel and love your decorating and your house.

Hi Susan! I'm glad you like your print! The "Pumpkin Dance" drawing on the mantel behind me is in a 23" by 19" frame. The art in the frame is the original drawing and is about 14" by 16.5" - I used a rustic textured linen fabric as matting :)

Hi Sandy! I would love to write a Christmas story book someday! There isn't time to get one completed this season as it takes months to write, edit, design, wait for proof copies, make changes, etc. - I actually wrote "Mildrid The Mouse's Halloween Adventure" in January & worked as efficiently as I could to get it available early May. That was during my break from recording so I had a little extra time to work on it. I'll keep it in mind for a possible future project to work on someday though! :)
I found the ornaments at two different HomeGoods stores :) I must have accidentally edited that part out - the original video footage for this video was an hour and fifteen minutes long - I try not to edit out details but it happens sometimes :)
8:27 Wind-up Halloween toys are the best! And since they're so small they'll fit in anywhere. Does anyone know if the branches on the Halloween tree 2:25 are flexible? None of the stores in my area have any Halloween merch out yet, unfortunately.
The Dollar Tree Halloween tinsel tree has thick wire branches that are bendable. If you want them you should check your local store & get one as soon as they come in as they usually sell out pretty early in the season :)

I have many old paper pieces that I've slowly collected from antique shops, thrift stores, & garage sales. Antique Halloween postcards can be found on eBay & Etsy but usually are a little more pricey - but sometimes you can find a deal! I plan to make more decorations for my website when I find extra time, including some of the mini Halloween tree decorations, and actually, one of my upcoming DIY Halloween craft videos will show how to make a "Halloween bottlebrush tree figure" and offer a printable template for the project :)
What do you do for a living to have all the money to buy all that neat stuff but all be it expensive but I will say after being retired you need to buy things while you still can because when you're retired you're extremely limited as I know cool designs thanks for the video 🎃🦇
As far as what I do for a living, creating videos for this TH-cam channel is one of my jobs, but I also have books that I've written that I sell on Amazon (kind of a second job) & I have my online shop on my website (a third job) where I sell items I craft, some artwork, & some other vintage style items I pick from other brands I like. Tim works a full time job but also has started to help me with some of the stuff that I do as it has become a little too large of a job for one person - He helps with weighing items and printing shipping labels, and with some larger yard projects, mowing, and other household tasks so I have enough time to keep some items made for my site, manage messages across the different social media sites, work on new projects or books, & keep the decorating video season going on my channel. I joke to him that it seems like we are never not working, but we have fun, and that is how I'm able to get these fun Halloween things :)

The piece I found was at a TJ so I wonder if TJ/Marshalls stores are less picked over as they are thought of more for their clothing than their decorations as HomeGoods is just decor.
