    replace that gascolator. It's useless. Fit a better aftermarket gascolator and drain. Also, if you haven't already, cut out and install a hatch and door under the belly for access to the control cables. It makes life so much easier when it comes to rigging. After that, reinforces the centre section in the cockpit which acts as a map pocket/storage bin. It is originally made from very light alloy and is too flimsy by half! You should fit an Andair fuel selector as the original is not good. Also, reinforce the instrument panel as it is too flimsy and will warp.

    Does Zenith make a system like the front one you just installed for the main gear?

      sadly no. the newer design ises spring gear

    Curious how much this mod costs, as im picking up a 601 in a couple weeks and dont like the bungee set up, thanks in advance

      I had to modify the firewall with all of the 650 parts. then pick up the puck system. Weld the bungee pin hole closed. then install. it was around 800 for everything. if you have a 601xl then you only need the puck system and to weld the hole shut. total for that about 500.
