Couple leather of enamel paint and a couple layers of polyurethane goes a long way eventually they will rot from misting but you keep bearded dragons so it probly will last a long time without it but for higher humidity species I'd paint plus polyurathene it great video by the way
Yes, for snakes and other animals they are sealed. With bearded dragons they will last the life of the animal. Even with me running bioactive substrate they'll still last because only the substrate is misted and the water never makes it to the bottom
You can use 2×2 or 2×3s. Pine or fir wood. Pine and fir are safe only when cut, dead, dried, and processed. If wild, living, and moist they can be very dangerous for dragons
There's over 100s of them made and they all have basking bulbs in them. There is a sealant that is used between the fixture and ceiling to prevent extreme heat and fires
Bruh...the light fixture is meant to be mounted on a base plate. Do not mount it directly to wood. Asking for trouble if you mount it to the sealing without base.
All my lights are mounted to the ceiling of the tank with fireproof sealant. It's not directly on the wood my guy. Thanks though, glad you know. I ran my first build for a year before I ever built anyone else's. There's almost a 1,000 of them out there in the world, and everything is all good.

Awesome video! Just quick question how you would go about making a 6 x 3 x 3? I would like to give my bearded dragon as much space as I can!
Same way! Just build it out
