@@facelessanon I'm not sure if you'll see this comment, since you last wrote your comment 5 months ago at the time of writing, but if you still haven't beat Soul Melter EX, I beat it with 4 Magolors and 2 players. Just spam Magolor's Ultra Sword and constantly revive your teammates and you should be able to win.

The three mage-sisters fight looks like a coreography made in a madhouse... and looks so freaking badass fighting the three sisters at once. Also the music for the second phase is awesome!
Kirby staring directly at you as you choose Extra difficulty is somehow very, very creepy.
Edit: Oh my god, Hyness is actually a threat in this mode! And Void Termina shows more than one weak spot at a time! And you get to fight all three sisters at once! Finally!!
I already needed this game, but now I need it more! This mode looks so much fun!
It's even creepier considering that's literally Void Soul's face plastered onto Kirby. All this new lore we got with Wave 3 is starting to make sense...
Void Termina was not thinking smart when he showed more than one weak point. His swords should have appeared when 2 weak points were left, not one.
@@rileygronlund8233 From a gameplay perspective, though, I'm glad. Phases one and three of that fight dragged on and on to the point of just being tedious.
@@rileygronlund8233 In all fairness, you have to do a ton of dodging all while trying to take out said weak point.That said, I prefer having most of them there at once rather than one appearing each time you take out one.

I love how developers were just like “let’s create our usual harder mode, but then create a harder harder mode on top of that!”
I knew that the void soul reused some of the old boss attack patterns from previous games, but watching this astral birth void fight really drew home the point on how many moves he outright "copied" from past bosses... I only ever played Amazing Mirror and Canvas Curse, but I could recognize those patterns anywhere.

Well yeah its kinda implied that those previous final bosses were him in different lives which is why he transforms into those bosses when he does those attacks
This is super delayed but if you know about RTD (Return to Dreamland), then you may recognize the Crowns that are used. Those crowns were sought for and even just one brought him to madness. Very odd
I just beat Soul Melter EX today, after spending the past two years procrastinating to the point where I hadn't even touched the Wave 3 content, yet alone unlocked Soul Melter.
I'm amazed that I managed to do it on the first attempt...Void nearly got me at the end!

Me and my brother have been grinding on this for weeks and we finally beat it! In my opinion, it was the Three Mage Sisters and Morpho Knight that got to us!
I just beat heroes in another dimension today and tomorrow I'm going for soul melter EX...
I struggle with every single boss in that mode especially the three mage sisters, and I dread tomorrow...
I'll probably use a combination of chef kawasaki, magolors, and mage sisters, on solo with computers. I'll probably play as magolor
I have no idea why I'm saying this here, it just kinda felt appropriate, and I guess I JUST HAD to tell this to someone else who played this game.

Well, you can use friend but without chef kawasaki. He can heal kirby in battle. At the past in the arena you must manage your health and distribute healing item carefully so you won't die until the final boss. And kawasaki take that out and make everything easy

I just found 2 amazing things playing this, I'm playing as Ninja with Marx, The Mage sisters, and Magalor and we owned parallel woods in under 30 secs, and if you kill enough enemies or break Fransisca's ice shards before they hit the ground, you can find food in the boss, and it REALLY helps.

Reaching void and hearing the organ hit that long note and epic finale and then the guitar rains in telling you that you stand in front of essentially reality and fighting head on and the music that starts the void fight is just a recap of what has brought you hear and now it ends with beating reality and the horrors of the past and overcoming all of life just to see one final smile to suddenly wake up back to reality and life once again and found that you became the true soul master of life and have bested everything life offers from the small civilian to gods and now this all with just a goofy pink gum with shoes to finish it as the reward of insane feats

For those who want to truly earn a victory in Soul Melter EX while playing as their favorite character, I have thought up a system for players to earn honest, Kirby-less victories. Here are the rules:
1: Whoever it is you’re playing, go solo.
1.5: For elementally supplemented characters like Susie or Marx, you can’t bring friends in with the excuse of acquiring elements. Those two’re gonna need to win in their base forms.
2: You can utilize all possible health recoveries except for Amiibos. This means that things like Still Life and Cook Potluck are fair game.
3: Characters with particularly boss-busting attacks, such as Magolor and his Ultra Sword, may only use each of those techniques once per round.
3.5: If you’re playing the Jambastion Sisters, you may only use one sister per battle, and cannot use the same sister twice in a row.
Feel free to try this out, and share your experiences!

VOID HAS ENOUGH POWER TO REPLICATE ALL BOSSES
Okay, so I got a theory about Astral Birth Void *(WARNING: SPOILERS!)* (i think):
When you choose Soul Melter EX, and Kirby's face turns to A.B. Void's, it might represent that Kirby doesn't actually know what he is going for: The only thing he knows, he has to beat this.
However, that blank face? It instead refers that Void actually has taken control over Kirby, and the only thing you can do to fix this is to use a clone of Kirby. The original Kirby later in Boss Rush, turns into Void Termina, and later on Astral Birth Void, it might mean that you're VERY close to wiping out this very powerful void that once was the hero of Dreamland.
When you defeat Astral Birth Void, he smiles, representing that he is finally put to rest (Maybe because he was suffering?) and Kirby is now rebirthed as his plush version that is the big Kirby plush in the crane game in Kirby's Adventure.
This might mean that:
Kirby got infected by Astral Birth Void, making you defeat him, and setting Kirby free while he rebirths to his plush version, however, he still has his hero spirit inside him.
