@@violatorut2003 For sure. He's changed his sound quite a bit with the Bloodmachines album, have you given that one a listen too? Also his new single, the one where the video plays in the desert
@@TheNeonSyndicate Fab Tool? Yeah that’s a great song. It took a while to warm up to it but the singer is great. Something about his cadence, I don’t know what it is but the timing of the words is great. But yeah very weird music video. There’s a fan made music video using Assassin’s Creed Origin’s trailer. It’s crazy how well it syncs up. And the lyrics apply to the AC Origins. Supposedly the lyrics are about ancient Egypt? Lol! It’s fantastic. As far as Blood Machines goes I find myself skipping over it a lot. The music is great when watching the movie. It compliments the video very well. But on its own, I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll warm up to it. It took me like 5 months to warm up to the live album. Now it’s my number 2 favorite live album. Number one is the Daft Punk live album. Very weird they are all French. But yeah, I listened to Brut’s cover of Maniac for 5 months before listening to the rest. But very excited for the next album. Apparently it’s supposed to be violent or more violent, whatever, it’s going to be fun on a bun. 👍
@@violatorut2003 Yeah, gotta hand it to the French: Daft Punk, Justice, Kavinsky, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator... They sure do their homework when it comes to great synth music. What I like about the Blood Machines album is the overall frequency balance. What I mean is: if you listen to Brut's previous work, it all sounds extremely crisp, there's a shitload of distortion, everything is as loud as it gets (try this: listen to 10 or 20 seconds of "Canyons" by Fractal Man - great chillwave btw if you're into that - then switch to any Carpenter Brut song, it'll feel like someone cranked up the volume!), but it can get pretty harsh and cause ear fatigue after a while. Blood Machines, on the other hand, while still very loud, sounds way more balanced, it's not harsh by any means, he preserved a lot of that all-important mid range while still retaining power and energy. To me that says a lot about his will to experiment and keep working on and improving upon his craft even though, you know, he is f***ing Carpenter Brut, you know what I mean? Love that attitude
Cheers. You're right about that, it sure is the most difficult one up to this point, and I'm gonna be completely honest here, there's a couple mistakes here and there as in things I had originally planned to play differently, but I simply just didn't manage to get a better take.
