Amazing Cammie!!! Your work is always incredible. I particularly love these turtles. I started knife carving about a year ago. I had been doing woodworking for over 40 years. I can no longer do it do to health reasons. I had to sell all my big tools. But I couldn’t just stop. I’m really enjoying this hobby. I’m not sure if I will ever be as good as you. I probably don’t have enough time to ever get there. You are an inspiration for us all my friend. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with with us all.
My thought process while watching: Sees torch: "Oh no, he's burning them! Why has burning things gotten so trendy?" 5 seconds later: "Oh, cool! That's a clever way of adding their markings." Also, I'd never thought of using a disc sander to compensate for not having a jointer. Clever. I was snorkeling on a vacation in Hawaii about ten years ago (at a public beach near Kona / Kailua on the Big Island) and a sea turtle started swimming along with me. They're amazing animals.
I'm new to your channel. I came here through Jolien Brebels from Belgium, who put a link to this video of you when she made a video on making a wooden sea turtle. I hope you will have more visitors this way. I liked this video very well and I'll watch more of your videos. Thanks for sharing your skill. Stay safe.
Thank you, Patricia. I have a 14 inch Craftsman bandsaw that was given to me by a fellow woodworker. In this video, I think I had a 3/8 inch blade installed.
@@CammiesGarage thanks for getting back to me. So the band saw is the one you're holding? I'm working on a very large turtle now and have struggled to say the least. Lol
Oh, do you mean the yellow, hand-held tool I am using to carve? I think you are talking about the angle grinder. In this video, I used a Graff SpeedCutter on the grinder.
It is a Graff SpeedCutter. You can get one for yourself here: www.amazon.com/Original-Speedcutter-Woodworking-Grinder-Manufacturer/dp/B07KFJ31G6/ref=sr_1_1?m=A1SXKG6GJH0JTV&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1571215834&s=merchant-items&sr=1-1

That is very sweet of you to say, Laurie. Thanks for watching.
Amazing work once again Cam. My heart skipped a beat when you knocked off the support piece off after rough grinding.
Thanks, Michael. Yeah, the 2x4 was temporary simply to hold it in the vice.
Those are great, Cam. They're so realistic I was waiting for them to crawl off of the table!
Bill
Thank you, William.
Damn Cammie, I love them so much! They look wonderfull! I bet they would be a hit to sell for charity!

Thanks. I have a bandsaw. I used it at the very beginning of the vid. I felt it was unnecessary for this project.

Thank you. I used lacquer on these.
Great vid, what kind of blade is in the grinder?

I was wondering the same thing! 👍
C'est magnifique 🥰
Merci!
We with my spoon: yeah I can do this...
Genial !
Thank you.
👌👍
I want one but life size adult.. floating in blue resin. Surrounded by jellyfish.
That is a great idea. Alas, that would be an expensive project based on the amount of resin alone. ;)
You make that look way too easy then it really is to make.
Thank you. That is nice of you to say.
Пылить болгаркой когда есть ленточная пила??? В остальном все хорошо.
😍👌🏻🐢🐢👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks, Fred.
