But he took his ideology too far, upset the natural balance of things (world can't always be sunshine and roses). So the current guardian took the godly power from the ex in order to restore the balance. Aka sorting shit out then taking refuge on the mountain. Keeping the godly power away from power hungry maniacs like Mazel and our lovely Necromancer. Mirren knows/experienced all this, which is why he tried intimidating our dear little wizard. Legit can't wait to see how this story pans out.

Now, I know the Guardian is in a nullifying prison but if the Archangel runs with its blood and is "an extension" of itself... couldn't we use that as a way of escaping?
