Loved this Helen, I can relate to the living as a retired couple it is one of the hardest stages in married life. We have been married for 53 years now, like you married really young, had 3 children and lived busy lives. Now unfortunately my husband has health problems which leaves me with the bulk of the chores, but gradually we have adapted to how life changes. It’s important to revisit the happy times you have shared and laugh about the tricks and turns life throws at us. Xx
Well that was such a lovely video, learning about your early days up to the present. A loving, close marriage , you should be so proud and I’m sure you both are. I was married in 1974 and just like you, was at home, married in the church and set up home in an attic flat. Happy, happy days. 3 girls and a busy working life as a nurse and my husband an electrician. Sadly Roger passed away at 67 after a short illness so we just had the 2 yrs together in retirement. I’m 74 now and feel blessed for our time. I love to see you both enjoying your cruises, making the most out of life and taking every opportunity on board. Sorry to go on but I find you both sincere, friendly and a real tonic…keep up the good work and love to your partner in crime Rob x
Loved the video Helen, as far as men and retiring neither Ron or myself really retired until we moved to Spain. I still did the housework but Ron still did the garden and the maintenance on the villa. We were both 70 when we retired and sadly my Ron died when he was 80 those last 10 years were the best years of our lives.
Hi Helen. I am a very enthusiastic Hel’s Belle and have followed your chanel almost from the word go! Your confidence has really grown and you seem so much more relaxed as time has gone by.The reasons I find you so refreshing is your honesty, your natural ability in front of a camera, your humour and all the variety in your videos. You are such a talented lady and I can relate to so many things you chat about. Your hauls in your hall are always inspiring and interesting and cover a whole plethora of brands, items and price ranges. Your family is so lovely and it’s a real treat to see a You Tuber who is so sincere and so grateful to see her followers grow month by month. You should be very proud of all that you’ve achieved as you are a breath of fresh air amongst all the influencers I’ve watched. I just hope you enjoy making your videos as much as your subscribers enjoy watching you and thank you for all the very hard work you do to help make our days brighter. By the way, Rob and yourself are a great team and made me giggle a lot especially when you said how lucky you are that he’s not smelly !!🤣❤️🥰🌲
Loved this Helen. It's emotional going down memory lane. When you said how much your parents did for their family I filled up thinking of my poor mother's hard life. The shorthand and typing fairly took me back. As I was the youngest of five, Mummy wanted me to stay on at school so I could get an office job as opposed to factory work like my sisters. My all girls' school held evening classes in s/t and the deal was I could leave at 15 if I agreed to go to the evening classes. It was years later after being at home with my daughters for 10 years but still self improving my Pitman's and bashing away on a wee portable typewriter, that I landed a job at the local university where I stayed for 20 years. How I wish Mummy could’ve seen wee me in a room with a Dean, Professors and lecturers and yours truly taking the minutes! She would’ve been so proud. Rob is a lovely quiet gentleman. You will settle into your retirement but it's give and take and working together. We're 17 years retired now and it's made my hubby realise just how much I did, working full time and keeping house as well. He's taken over a lot of the household jobs and of course we now have our miracle grandchild, Amelia, and we help out with childcare together. Sorry to prattle on so much! Your wedding photos are lovely. Just what we ladies would’ve expected from 'our Helen'. Bless you both. ❤ ❤
I enjoyed this video very much, Helen getting to know you and Rob a bit more 😍 You both looked so lovely on your wedding photo ❤ ❤ You can be both so proud of what you have achieved in your life and created a beautiful family together ❤️ I wish you and Rob all the very best for your retired life together! 💞 xx
This made me chuckle. We both found it very hard when we retired. After years of working, we just weren't used to being around each other 24/7. He, too, is a man of few words, thinks a question is a criticsm, and can't be bothered with chitchat. Hes an electronic engineer and I wonder if they speak a different language or is it just a man thing🤔 For his 70th I offered to contribute to having the garage converted into a workshop for hobbies, and that's worked a treat, he has his man cave! Another good move was him having a TV den so he can watch what he wants if I I want to watch something else. It's taken a few years, but it's worked for us. BTW, I'd be bereft without him and I hope he feels the same way❤😅
Loved your answers to the questions. You know what they say Helen "Opposites attract" . You are a match made in Heaven. Long may it continue. Me and my late husband were like that. I miss him terribly. TTFN XX
Wonderful video Helen. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Rob is hilarious, he refuses to chatter just like all men. Thank goodness for us women and the chats we have. I do love when you both giggle together. Thanks for answering my question too xx
Enjoying your channel -- the color analysis, the cooking and crafts, the hauls in the hall, the return from cruise reports, meeting your family and now - this summary. Enjoy listening now - a mini summary of your life journey and Rob's input. Interesting and fun to listen. Real and relatable, the ups and downs and wisdom and the humor too. Appreciation.💥💝
Oh Helen, I really enjoyed this video and hearing about your life’s journey, but I you and Rob together are so funny, and I say that because my husband is so like him, so I absolutely know how you feel at times. But your face when you asked him what his first thoughts about you were when you met, hilarious. I’m sorry, but I’m glad I wasn’t taking a sip of my tea at that moment because I just burst into laughter, and I know it’s because I feel your frustration, it’s like pulling teeth !!! I’m retired but my husband isn’t, yet, so we’ve got all that to come when he does. But we’re still happy after years together because you do somehow, get over the hurdles and keep going. Thank you both so much for sharing your story. ❤
Hi Helen, I enjoy being a Hel’s Belle 👍🏻🤣. Loved this Q and A, and delighted that 2 of my questions got picked to be answered too! You have definitely had an interesting and varied life to date - lots of different types of work experience, and life experiences. I think that’s what shines through on your channel, and viewers can relate to the various things you have experienced in your life. Rob is lovely, I think Hattie looks so much like him - especially when they smile. Definitely need to give yourselves time and some space to adjust to retirement, but I am sure if you are patient and kind to each other during the transition you will definitely have a fantastic and happy retirement together. All the very best to you both xx
Hi Helen, I was so sorry to learn of your despair and unhappyness during your career. It must have taken you a lot of strengh to go to work when you were miserable. You had no choice I guess. But still… 😢 I admire your work history. Lots of varied positions. You are not the type to wait for the paint to dry. I think you are very focused and astute with good insight. This channel you have created brings out the best in you. I love your kindness and truthfulness. You are not just a pretty face. Rob is a very lucky man to have won your hand in marriage. Now that he has retired, he has to help you run the house as there are always things that need doing, but not push too much as he has his health to look out for. Fascinating vlog, also reading the background of your subscribers, 😊. Lots of love, Xxx ❤
I know just how that feeling is about the retirement issue Helen and Rob! Its so hard, even after being together for in our case 46yrs married, courting for four yrs beforehand, to then after raising a family, going back to work full time, and then you’re in each others faces, stuck like glue almost 24/7, after having separate lives at work, and having some independence from each other. We have both found it hard. We each have our own way of doing things, neither is right or wrong, but its almost like learning to live with each other once again, like when you’re first married. And manys the time I wanted to go back home in the first year just like you 😂! Its getting better, Cols been retired now three yrs, third time of trying, he just wasn’t ready the first couple of times, so went back and slowly reduced his hours over the last couple of years. But I agree with you its a learning curve ….!
Helen really enjoyed this Q&A, robs a good sport just like many men he's of few words but your expression was hilarious when he said you were bold and forward!!! 😅😅😅 After 3 years i still haven't got used to hubby being home!! It's a learning curve for sure. ❤
Loved this Helen. Glad to be a Hell's Bell. Lovely couple. Beautiful ❤🎉 my husband is the same man of few words but we met when i was 19 and he 21 were now 65 & 68. Love him to bits. Married 43years.❤
A great video, Helen. How young and different you both look in the wedding photos and what an interesting journey youve had. It made me laugh when Rob joined you as he is typical of my husband who lives in the moment and loves trying to take over the house work since retirement. As you say you are 2 very different people now. I found retirment very challenging as I am independent and like to be busy. We've been married 56 years. We met in1966 when I was 17 and he was 19 4 monthe later he went to Aden for a year as he was in the services. 10 months after he came home we got married We did things young then. I had my children at the age of 20 and 22. It was difficult at times as he was away often and my family lived 250 miles away so I never worked full-time again until I was 32 He served 22 years in the services so we moved a few times, Dorset, Singapore, Devon,London Belgium and settled in Devon on 1982 My husband works voluntary two afternoons a week and that is good for us. I have recently had a hip replacement and he has been a good nurse and house keeper apart from rearranging 2 cupboards in the kitchen😡Difference of opinions on that one😂Wishing you both good health and a happy and peaceful retirement.
Helen, you sell yourself short! From what I’ve seen, you are fantastic at flower arrangements! When I viewed the flowers you did for your neighbour’s, daughter’s wedding and last years Christmas decorations on your mantle, they looked like a professional florist had done them! You sew, you make wonderful meals, you run your you tube channel, you do makeup and hair. You are one very talented, artistic and creative gal. You always take care to look your best. You should have TONS of confidence. Start believing your worth my dear, because you definitely are worthy! I watched the whole video. Enjoyed seeing your wedding photos. You have both aged exquisitely, and I think gracefully, like a fine wine, you have gotten better. Now, how’s your confidence? Lol.
What a lovely video you and Rob have been married virtually the same time,we were so young l was 21 as well, we got engaged after 4 weeks and married in 15 months l have never regretted it, we have 3 children and have 4 grandchildren. We retired together and moved to Yorkshire and COVID struck we survived being together 24 /7 we can survive anything. He is my best pal through thick and thin and l know I'm lucky to have such a good marriage. He was poorly this time last year and had an operation and is fully recovered thank heavens! You and l are both blessed with our spouses long may it continue. Thanks for this video.xx
Loved the video, Helen, what handsome couple you are. Beautiful wedding photos. I envy you your big families, I was an only child and still think how happy I would have been with brothers and sisters. Your Rob sure is a man of few words. My husband is a man of many (Irish ancestry - definitely kissed the Blarney Stone), but that doesn't mean he doesn't put his foot in it occasionally. He can say the most random things sometimes and there's me kicking him under the table while he looks puzzled. Honestly!Your face when Rob described you as bold and forward! I thought, you're in trouble my boy! He must have been afraid to ask because you were so gorgeous he probably thought he didn't have a chance! Mind you, you did say you had your eye on other lad as well, so...😄. Thank you for letting us have a glimpse of your life. PS I agree. Everyone should learn to touch-type. I'm grateful I did. xxx
Hi Omg I enjoyed this so much You remind me so much of our lives I’m second of 5 kids brought up in Blackpool always a house full got married moved to Manchester thought I’d moved to Australia cried every day we met at a wedding 3 yrs together got married My husband has had his own business working all over since COVID he works from home a lot I can’t stand it he too thinks I’m picking on him if I ask him anything we’ve been together 44 yrs love it when our children & grandchildren visit We live on a farm but with my heart failure I can’t drive so depend on him to take me out that’s the worse thing after driving since I was 17 Anyway this was about you Helen but as you know I’m so board waiting for my op so excuse me for having a chin wag ha ha You really are amazing in front of the camera X
Loved this Helen, Rob does make me laugh 😂 A man of few words bless him. I love when you both giggle though, can just see you as two teenagers having a laugh. 😅
Aw my gosh, Helen, this was fantastic. I throughly enjoyed it. Rob is so funny. Very humble and as you say "a man of a few words." You are obviously well suited and appear very happy. You are such an adorable couple. Rob is still a very handsome chap. It is so lovely that you still have each other. Thank you for sharing a lovely and precious part of your life. ❤
The sharing of housework is a big contention with us also…Men just don’t see tasks…always have to be asked to do something and then expect a pat on the back for doing it!…when I had a knee replacement and couldn’t do a great deal, my other half was horrified when I asked him to clean the toilet and wash the bathroom floor!…really enjoyed this Helen, you give a lot of yourself, so Thank you for sharing with us.. Ps…So many of us can relate to the retirement situation !
Hi Helen & Rob loved the video so nice to see you together talking about your past and your future it’s so hard when you retire getting to know each other all over again! Good luck for your future enjoy spending lots of time together. Be happy! ❤ xx
Once again thoroughly enjoyed listening to your life story, was laughing to myself when Rob came on, he is a man of few words, your face was a picture at times, however, I know you wouldn't swap him for the world. You'll love him to bits, just as I love my husband to bits.
Hi Helen , that was very interesting & funny . I’ve been married now for nearly 57 years next year . I’ve always done the housework & cooking & worked all the time , 2 boys . My husband does the garden , obviously now retired . He is garden mad . Never cooked anything , or done house work . Not very good at communicating either 😂. But I just accept that’s how it is . We have a good life . I admit , it’s not easy when they retire . But we have our own space, & wouldn’t want it any other way . Thought you were very brave to share your stories 👍😘
Interesting to hear how things were and how they are now. We all have our ups and downs especially when we are retired and learning to live together in a differnet way to when we were young. We do change. Honestly i cannot believe people when they say they have never had a cross word lol. We are 48 years married next week, i was 17 and hubby 21. Omg we are so lucky.xx
So funny seeing you together as you navigate your retirement years. It's a different phase in your life but you still look like you can have a laugh together,so important!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, Helen. It was fascinating listening to the varied career you have had. You are most definitely a creative and extremely clever woman😊. I found the similarities between you and Rob with my husband I uncanny. I have always been chatty and creative, like you. I have had many different jobs. I was sent to Secretarial College too 😊and I agree that touch typing is invaluable, and it has served me well throughout my life. When Rob joined in, he was like my husband's twin, in nature. Michael, my husband, was a plumber before going on to teach the trade. We met at work, as we both worked for the city Council. Long story short, he is very quiet. He was quite shy when we met, so I was the proactive one 😅. Even to this day, trying to get a compliment is like drawing blood from a stone. The funniest gaff of his was when I asked, early in our marriage, if I looked alright while getting ready for a night out. He said, we live in Scotland, aye, yer alright when you see what's going about 😂. To this day, he doesn't understand what was wrong with that. Oh, tonight's video really cheered me up, so thank you both ❤ x
That was BRILLIANT! Feel I know you both so much better now, its like you were a pencil drawing which has now been coloured in. It's just as well Rob is so quiet or there would be a battle for talk time!! I married in 1975 so your wedding photos were familiar! Have a good weekend. Nana Karen UK ❤x
I loved your “traditional”comment, as I too was “traditional”going into my marriage, so I knew exactly what you meant😉😉. And don’t worry, you’ll get used to Rob being home, and you will both find your groove- and find that you can have your parallel paths that will intertwine as you both wish, when you want, and still enjoy each others company!❤️
Helen that was such a lovely heartwarming video and I really enjoyed it. You both are such capable people. No wonder you have made such a lovely life for yourselves. I wouldn’t have recognised either of you from your wedding photos. My husband is also a man of few words! ❤
I sooo enjoyed this video Helen , Rob made me laugh as he is so like my husband Helen ,a man of few words, I also had varety of jobs which I loved, but very happy to be retired, it's very interesting to find out how people meet and there path in life, a big thumbs up from me ❤❤❤
Hi Helen, I wish I’d thought to ask a question, I didn’t realise. I personally love the H’elles Bells introduction, it is yours and unique. I enjoyed the questions and answers ♥️x
Thank you Helen for your detailed history of your life. It’s good to look back and remember our past and to see what we have achieved and appreciate where we are in life. As you say life is so hectic what with both working and bringing up the children then once we retire we can reflect on where we are. I retired 7 years ago and my husband 3 years ago and yes it seems really strange him being around all the time now. It is difficult to keep each other happy all of the time😫😤 He does not do any housework as I suppose even though I worked I did all the household jobs which if I’m honest I like doing so it has just carried on that way. He is very supportive of me though and would do anything for me so I am lucky to have someone by my side as are you but we can get in each others nerves. Please do not stop what you are doing. Dee 🥰
What a great video Helen! I loved it. You were a beautiful couple in your youth and still looking good. I think your happiness and contentment now shows on your very youthful faces. I enjoyed the banter between you. Treasure every moment. Xxx
I thoroughly enjoyed this video Helen; omg when you said about moving into your new home and the cats left little friends for you, this happened to me and the fleas fed on me - I was so miserable! You and Rob are a comedy double act, so funny! Thank you for sharing your wedding day photos - very beautiful x
Loved the video. I have a husband very similar to Rob,a man of few words. I absolutely know how you are feeling being retired and in the house together. I had a year on my own after I retired before my husband retired and it was bliss. It’s challenging being together a lot more than before. ❤❤
Oh my word…talking about Letterland took me back too many years…. Annie Apple… Bouncing Ben… Clever cat etc etc ….zig-zag zebra… once learnt, never forgotten!! Xx
Thank you both. You were such a beautiful young girl Helen. Colin and I will have been married 50 years next year. I know I really can’t believe it either and I can honestly say we have the same conversations. Like Rob Colin is a very practical man,a ‘ mr fix it’ and also needs to keep busy. He is also a man of few words and it is hard to have certain conversations because he thinks there is a ‘ motive’ in what ever I am asking. So it was so interesting and amusing to listen to you both, mainly you Helen 😅 for obvious reasons. Like all marriages you take the good and the not so good and, because you love each other, you make it work. I think we are extremely lucky. You will work things out it just takes time and I wish you both many more happy times together. Xx
Helen that was so funny your face at Rob’s answers or lack of them priceless 😂 really made me laugh he seems such a nice guy and they do say opposite’s attract it did for me and my hubby. I think your right I to wouldn’t change anything in my life because if i did I wouldn’t have the life I have now , if that makes sense. I didn’t meet my hubby till I was 38 he laughs when I remind him , the first time he saw me and my friend when we walk into the pub and join the group he was with for a quiz , he thought who are these 2 Blonde medallion women lol I’d just got back from Florida and was very brown with quite a bit of gold jewellery on . (We were both in the hair and beauty business) We went out for 3 years before we got married his 2nd time my first best thing we ever did. X
Loved this video Helen. My husband is very much like Rob -pretty quiet. He started working from home a few years ago and thought I would lose my mind. Still not sure about it😊
Really enjoyed this Helen, beautiful wedding photos!…thank you for answering my question (connection with Rob and your son In law) that is bonkers!……the Pitman takes me back I did the touch typing (still use in work) and the shorthand, I loved it, but not used that for years and years❤❤xx
Just as an aside-we hired a housekeeper to come once a month AFTER I retired (don’t ask me why we waited, but we did) it had been the single most thing that has left me less resentful because I’m not spending my time “keeping house”! I still do 98% of the cooking, and we also have a gardening service-but this way we are both freed up to pursue our own interests without guilt of ignoring the upkeep on the house. I’m sure rob hates housework-and once a moth is just enough to keep ahead of major cleaning. We both do dishes, change the bedsheets, and do our own laundry-and we seem to have plenty of time to enjoy the things we like to do together as a result!
Brilliant! Love your solution that suits all. Helen has a big house and a big family that are always going to be wanting her attention, never mind her company. x x x ❤
Hi Helen, I throughly enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing. I had to smile at your banter with Rob..My husband worked abroad for 16 years. He’s been home for 7 years now, it took some adjustment but it’s going well.. he doesn’t do any of the jobs that Rob does 😅xx
Oh my word Helen thank you for sharing. I was 22 when I met my husband in March 1973 and three weeks later he told me “we are getting married” we were married in July 1974, as my father insisted we waited a year, we have now been married for 50 years. He has always made me laugh and he still does, I love him to bits even though at times he drives me nuts 🤣. I have never heard the fact about dry ear wax, it’s very interesting as my husband doesn’t have body odour of any kind and he is the same as Rob and your son-in-law, it’s a very strange phenomenon. 😊😊😊
Being retired makes you realize just what your husband's personality really is. My husband is a very loving and outgoing person. In our retirement village he has to be into everything which sometimes can be too much for me. I'm grateful he enjoys social occasions but sometimes I feel he puts others before us. I am recovering from a foot operation which means I am unable to put weight on my right foot which is a challenge! My husband jis looking after me really well doing all the housework etc but his priorities are very different to mine and this annoys me. Also I find he doesn't see the little areas that need to be dusted or wiped over with a damp cloth. He is a great cook and spends most of his time in the kitchen cooking for us and other people too! I can't wait to be on my feet walking without the pain I had before my op and giving our lovely unit a good scrub! Keep up your lovely chats which I thoroughly enjoy. ❤
Interesting vlog Helen and proud to be a Hel’s Belle😁 I have started taking Magnesium on the recommendation of Liz Earle for bad sleep in menopause and I have to say I sleep so much better having previously literally only had 3 hours sleep a night so 🤷♀️nice to see good ole Rob again😁
Hi Helen, I really enjoyed this video …. very interesting and amusing …. 😂 Rob’s recollections of your courting days were so underwhelming 😂. I was also an ‘old fashioned’ bride, married in 1967 at just 21, but I’m blessed to say we are still having to make some adjustments after 57 years together! xx
Just watching this I always get emotional about my childhood Helen it was a happy one as well and I left home when I married, young by today’s standards. I think we are emotional as it was such a happy time, I had my parents them and life was simple love all your content
A jolly good video Helen and an interesting insight to your life. I refer to all the changes in life as chapters, how life evolves, it's a very challenging time but it is what you make of it yourself. Lovely to see Rob looking so well....take care 💗😀
What a lovely surprise Helen. It's like having a chat with a friend. Some of your experiences echo many other ladies in sure but everyone's life is different too. Your meeting with the career' s advisor was similar to mine. What would you like to do when leaving school, I said " a physiotherapist please 😂 She replies, no you can't do that your hopeless at maths. 😂😂. That was the sixties for you. You are both a beautiful couple in your wedding photographs, It's so nice to get to know you a little better. We retired five years ago and it was totally different being together 24/7. It's like getting to know each other all over again.😂😂 Thanks for sharing Helen & Rob 🌹🌹
Lovely video Helen. It’s nice to know a little bit more about you. Rob cracks me up, like you said a man of few words. It’s not easy being in each other’s company 24/7 and it takes a while to get use to. Loved the wedding photos, isn’t it good to look back on and see how far you’ve come and how you have changed. We have been married 50 years next year and I’m hoping to arrange for us to re new our vows on a cruise, the pictures will,be so different. Look forward to the next video as always x
The Q &A was very interesting and i admire you answering some very Personal questions. Rob made me laugh, he is a men of few words. I think, as we are older now, we certainly would have done things different, but thats why we have a lot of experiences. Good and not so good ones! Love from Germany
This was just delightful, enjoyed it so much. Thank you for sharing a little of your life with us. Rob is such a lovely quiet gentle man. Now the dry ear wax thing is so interesting. Maybe Prince Andrew has dry ear wax too, because he doesn't sweat either apparently. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lovely video! We've just had our 46th anniversary and listening to you two was like a mirror image of us! My other half is a man of few words also and if I ask a question I would get the same attitude 😂
Lovely QAnd A, many similarities to me, I am 69. Secretarial college. I was an excellent typist did pitman shorthand like you an was a secretary before I left to have my boys. I hope you have a long and mostly happy retirement xx
You are both brilliant I just loved listening to you and as you are more or less the same age as me and my husband your wedding album is exactly the same as as ours and your photos the same style as we got married in 1975. Just love watching you xx
Dear Helen I am a subscriber and enjoy your videos especially with your adorable Mum. Hope you don’t mind this question - which magnesium supplement do you take? My husband has IBS and has tried almost everything. Thank you in advance of your answer. You have covered so many subjects and you are so good at everything you do. Keep going forever- lots of love Jan Storey x
Oh Helen! This video was awesome. I was married at 21. I moved from my parents then also. I must say it was not at all what I thought it would be. Divorce a year and a half later! I now am 65 and have a partner Todd of 30 some odd years. He is also a contractor. ❤ Thank you. 😊
Course I stuck to the end! Fantastic fun it was too. Yes where do the years go? I feel EXACTLY the same now 30 years on as I did when I married my husband…well apart from feeling much more knackered! 😂 You and Rob are very different for sure…makes it interesting 👍👌🏼 Thanks for this Helen. Mary (Scottish Hel’s Belle living in France) 🤗
Such a lovely video Helen. You and Rob have so much to be proud of. It was a super watch. And lovely to find out a little more about your lives. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care xx
I met my husband at 17 he was 20 in 1976 . Engaged 18 & 21, married at 20 & 23… babies 2 years later. Married now for 45 years. Funny how young we were when we got married- it seems to happen in their 30s these days. Fortunately my husband has fishing and golf to keep him occupied otherwise he’d drive me nuts ! Thanks Helen for sharing your memories xx
Jesus Helen that made me laugh n it’s soo true when retirement comes around .My husband took to hovering n mopping the floors !!! I swear my conservatory is like an ice rink when he’s finished n takes 2 hours to dry out .And then it’s not done properly 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️give me patience ???.I am a stay at home mammy n I did give out over the years because there was no help n now I won’t give out because he’s helping .Life is strange ,I met my Shay I was 16 I’m now 63 and I haven’t killed him yet … lucky man is my shay .We’re 42 years married and I’m still learning .Thank you for that video it made me laugh ,n it will get better you just need to make sure you get out on your own.Take care nite nite lv C xxx
Oh I loved that it was great, you are so like me and my husband😂 mine hasn't retired yet but I'm dreading it 😂 ahh Rob looks quite a shy person so he did well and you Helen are just great, I thought you looked so much like your daughter when you got married, and fancy your clever mum making your dress, hope she is okxxxxx
Enjoyed this very much Helen and Rob. It's nice to listen about other people's lives. Full of allsorts, ups and downs and goes by so quick. You're wedding photos were so lovely. I was married 48 years. My husband was a man of few words. I certainly made up for that. Ha ha. Thank you both.
Really always interesting how people meet, what jobs they have worked at, and how they get along when they retire. I can tell you, Helen, my husband has taken over the housework too because apparently I don't vacuum as well as he does and so on and so on. So, now I've given up and just let him do it all!! Hahaha. I do babysit 40 hours a week for my daughter so that gives us a break from each other! Lol!
I can honestly say that when Rob thinks he does the housework better than me.... and I've been doing it for almost 47 years.... I get so annoyed, but I now pick my battles... haha xx
Lovely vlog Helen, great to hear about your past careers. I know where you are coming from Helen with the communication with your hubby, mine is much quieter during the mornings.Aaaww your photo album is lovely of you & Rob, so young ! 🫶🏻💖
Helen, I agree about getting further education, I was part of the generation where women were either nurses, teachers or secretaries, and since my parents weren’t supportive of further education, I was a secretary. I was married at 21 years old and had a family so that was fine. Like you I discovered later I was intelligent and could have gone further with my education.
Loved getting to know and Rob my hubby and I met when I was 14 and him 15yr old we married just after my 20th and we've been married now almost 57yr we both have separate hobbies .which helps ..lovely couple you are lovely wedding photos love all your videos
Really enjoyed this video Helen and Robs a lovely guy. It was great hearing about your early life and how it progressed into the life you have together today. You make me laugh, and I'm definitely a Hels Belle.x
Oh Helen this made me laugh out loud. I too married a slow burner but his pilot light went out years ago!! 😂😂 Retirement is hard and when they revert to toddler behaviour it’s even worse! Hey ho. We’ll muddle through. Stay well. X
I really enjoyed your Q and A video Helen - well I enjoy all of them! Plus it's lovely to find out a bit more about you and Rob. Please can you remind me which magnesium supplements you take and how much? Thank you.
Helen, I remember my first Christmas Eve after getting married. I came home and cried because it was so quiet with no cooking smells of mince pies etc; just me and my husband. Thankfully, that changed once the children came along.
Loved this Helen ! I can’t wait for my hubby to retire but he has been in the Navy and now NATO so looking forward to him being home all the time ! Thanks for all the tips and hints throughout the year 🙏
Two lovely people and a lovely family. You have built a very good life together with hard work, love, loyalty and patience. Owl and lark, day and night , Yin and Yang ☯️ Appreciate your differences and enjoy your retirement ❤️❤️
Sorry..my third comment 😝 Rob is a man of few words..very much like my own husband, but also like him I’m sure, pure gold! The whole housework thing is tricky…frustratingly I’ve been laid up for a few weeks and my dear husband is sure that he has taken up the chalice and is doing all the household chores…he’s not! Men just don’t see what we do….but, as I say, from another planet! That’s me done..soz Helen! And thanks Xxxx
They really don't. But I think that's because he has never actually seen what I do, because he was always at work.... But equally he thinks he does it better than I have ever done! It can be frustrating but we are getting there... slowly by surely. haha xx
Hi Helen really enjoyed the Q&A with Rob. You two are great together and you make me chuckle on the things you say. I always think Billy looks like Rob. Lovely wedding photo too. I love Hel’s Belles Helen do keep it going.. thanks for sharing love Jackie xx
Oh Helen. What a fab video. Enjoyed every minute of it. I left school at 15 and went on to do pitman shorthand, touch typing and office skills. Rob is so like my hubby. A man of few words which I find hard work sometimes. He has a terrible memory and forgets what I say but I think he just doesn't listen so therefore I have to repeat everything which looks like I'm nagging! Thanks for sharing xx
This was fun helen! So funny when Rob was saying what his first impression of you was😂....men can drive you mad at times can't they?!😊.....but he is adorable at the same time 😉😉❤❤xx
Aw Helen that was a lovely watch. Believe it or not my husband is exactly like Rob and your son in law as far as sweat/dry earwax, who knew that what even a thing! How interesting. Also I would love o be a guest at your celebrity dinner table what a fab guest list. X
Enjoy you retirement.sadly my husband never got the chance to retire fully. We were married 48 years .I am now on my own and have missed him these last 5 years. He was my best friend. I think you are great and have given me lots of smiles and enjoyment. Thankyou
Oh that's sad. My dad had only been retired for three months before he fell ill and died. It's such a shame they didn't get to reap their rewards.. I'm glad that you enjoy my channel, thank you very much xx
What a lovely young couple. You are very good looking Helen. Lovely to hear your potted history. It’s lovely to look back and think about the blessings you have enjoyed.
I enjoyed this vlog, always enjoy your chats , loved seeing the wedding photos you were a beautiful bride with a handsome husband and you are still a good looking couple hope you get many more happy years together, we had our 63 rd anniversary this week and I just don't know where all the years have gone, x
Such a lovely video. Rob maybe a man of a few words but he is sort of put on the spot so doesn’t want to give the wrong answer. Such a Cute couple and lovely to see your Wedding photo. Would be great to do a haul in your hall for Rob one day 😁.
The scarf looks lovely. Listening to you about your working history has reminded me of all the things I did that were so similar to your work life. Guess it was the way of life then. Xx
Absolutely enjoyed this. I too am married to a man of few words and yes it can be frustrating at times but the respect level each other and the 4 beautiful adult children we have ....so grateful. Exemplary Father.❤
This was such a fabulous video, Helen. Thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you better. Like you and Rob, my husband and I met at an early age. We met here in Australia, although we are both English. I was seventeen and a half and my husband was four years older. We married four years after meeting and that was 51 years ago. We have had a wonderful life together, raised four lovely children, have 12 grandchildren and we are soon to have five great grandchildren. Your wedding photo was lovely, thank you for sharing and may you enjoy your life together for many more years. XX
I really enjoyed your Q&A, I had such a similar timeline, went to Secretarial College, met my husband at 16yrs married at 19 yrs. I worked as a secretary then left to have 2 children. I eventually went to work in schools term time whilst the children were young then moved to full time in the education dept when our eldest turned 17. Retired early to help my Dad look after my Mum after a stoke. I love watching all your videos. Xxx
Another great video Helen thank you. Poor Rob is not as comfortable as you have become in front of the camera 😂 but still lovely to see you both and hear your story 🤗
Really enjoyed this video Helen. I too didn’t comment on other people’s TH-cam because they never bothered to answer but you always do which is lovely. 👏👏
Xx
It is and you are right. Have to remind ourselves how lucky we are really.
Thank you xx
Rob might be quiet Helen, but he is Superman ! Housework, ironing, DIY, dog walking, gardening etc. you have a treasure there !
He is a treasure.... most of the time xx
Thank you very much and I'm sorry that your husband died too soon. xx
Sorry for your loss.
Thank you xx
Haha, thank you very much. I do enjoy making the videos. xx
Thank you very much xx
I enjoyed this video very much, Helen getting to know you and Rob a bit more 😍 You both looked so lovely on your wedding photo ❤ ❤ You can be both so proud of what you have achieved in your life and created a beautiful family together ❤️ I wish you and Rob all the very best for your retired life together! 💞 xx
Thank you very much xx
BTW, I'd be bereft without him and I hope he feels the same way❤😅
Yes, I empathise with all of that. xx
Loved your answers to the questions. You know what they say Helen "Opposites attract" . You are a match made in Heaven. Long may it continue. Me and my late husband were like that. I miss him terribly. TTFN XX
Ah, thank you xx
Wonderful video Helen. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Rob is hilarious, he refuses to chatter just like all men. Thank goodness for us women and the chats we have.
I do love when you both giggle together.
Thanks for answering my question too xx
Ah, thank you xx
Enjoying your channel -- the color analysis, the cooking and crafts, the hauls in the hall, the return from cruise reports, meeting your family and now - this summary. Enjoy listening now - a mini summary of your life journey and Rob's input. Interesting and fun to listen. Real and relatable, the ups and downs and wisdom and the humor too.
Appreciation.💥💝
Ah, thank you xx
Ah, thank you xx
Ah, thank you xx
Hi Helen, I was so sorry to learn of your despair and unhappyness during your career. It must have taken you a lot of strengh to go to work when you were miserable. You had no choice I guess. But still… 😢
I admire your work history.
Thank you very much xx
P.S. Aren’t we lucky we don’t have smelly guys 😂 with earwax problems either 😖😱😂
We are finding our new normal. Communication is key, but Rob is not very good at that.....
But yes we are lucky xx
Helen really enjoyed this Q&A, robs a good sport just like many men he's of few words but your expression was hilarious when he said you were bold and forward!!! 😅😅😅 After 3 years i still haven't got used to hubby being home!! It's a learning curve for sure. ❤
It really is.
My daughter howled with laughter when I told her what he'd said.... so funny xx
Loved this Helen. Glad to be a Hell's Bell. Lovely couple. Beautiful ❤🎉 my husband is the same man of few words but we met when i was 19 and he 21 were now 65 & 68. Love him to bits. Married 43years.❤
Congrats.
Thank you xx
I love seeing you and Rob together, he’s definitely a man of a few words 😂 I love how he thought you were bold and forward😂 you’re so cute together xx
It was a surprise to me! haha xx
Ah, thank you xx
Lol.
That's very kind, thank you xx
Indeed we are blessed.
Thank you xx
I'm grateful I did. xxx
Haha.
Thank you xx
Valerie hope you are not waiting too long for your op. It must be so hard being so reliant on your husband. Take care
Fingers crossed you'll soon be the other side of the op.
Thank you xx
Loved this Helen, Rob does make me laugh 😂 A man of few words bless him.
I love when you both giggle though, can just see you as two teenagers having a laugh. 😅
Laughter has saved us for sure. xx
Our pleasure, thank you x
The sharing of housework is a big contention with us also…Men just don’t see tasks…always have to be asked to do something and then expect a pat on the back for doing it!…when I had a knee replacement and couldn’t do a great deal, my other half was horrified when I asked him to clean the toilet and wash the bathroom floor!…really enjoyed this Helen, you give a lot of yourself, so Thank you for sharing with us..
Ps…So many of us can relate to the retirement situation !
I agree with all you say xx
Hi Helen & Rob loved the video so nice to see you together talking about your past and your future it’s so hard when you retire getting to know each other all over again! Good luck for your future enjoy spending lots of time together. Be happy! ❤ xx
Ah, thank you xx
Once again thoroughly enjoyed listening to your life story, was laughing to myself when Rob came on, he is a man of few words, your face was a picture at times, however, I know you wouldn't swap him for the world. You'll love him to bits, just as I love my husband to bits.
Thank you very much xx
Hi Helen , that was very interesting & funny . I’ve been married now for nearly 57 years next year . I’ve always done the housework & cooking & worked all the time , 2 boys . My husband does the garden , obviously now retired . He is garden mad . Never cooked anything , or done house work . Not very good at communicating either 😂. But I just accept that’s how it is . We have a good life . I admit , it’s not easy when they retire . But we have our own space, & wouldn’t want it any other way . Thought you were very brave to share your stories 👍😘
Ah, thank you xx
Interesting to hear how things were and how they are now. We all have our ups and downs especially when we are retired and learning to live together in a differnet way to when we were young. We do change. Honestly i cannot believe people when they say they have never had a cross word lol.
We are 48 years married next week, i was 17 and hubby 21. Omg we are so lucky.xx
I agree.
Thank you xx
So funny seeing you together as you navigate your retirement years. It's a different phase in your life but you still look like you can have a laugh together,so important!!
Laughter saves us xx
That has made me laugh... I will tell a story about Rob and his comments very soon.... xx
@Helenmaryjo I'll look forward to that 😊 x
Thank you xx
I loved your “traditional”comment, as I too was “traditional”going into my marriage, so I knew exactly what you meant😉😉. And don’t worry, you’ll get used to Rob being home, and you will both find your groove- and find that you can have your parallel paths that will intertwine as you both wish, when you want, and still enjoy each others company!❤️
Yes, it's a journey, but we're lucky to be on it xx
Helen that was such a lovely heartwarming video and I really enjoyed it. You both are such capable people. No wonder you have made such a lovely life for yourselves. I wouldn’t have recognised either of you from your wedding photos. My husband is also a man of few words! ❤
Thank you xx
I sooo enjoyed this video Helen , Rob made me laugh as he is so like my husband Helen ,a man of few words, I also had varety of jobs which I loved, but very happy to be retired, it's very interesting to find out how people meet and there path in life, a big thumbs up from me ❤❤❤
Ah, thank you xx
Hi Helen, I wish I’d thought to ask a question, I didn’t realise. I personally love the H’elles Bells introduction, it is yours and unique. I enjoyed the questions and answers ♥️x
Thank you xx
Dee 🥰
Thanks Dee.
I won't xx
What a great video Helen! I loved it. You were a beautiful couple in your youth and still looking good. I think your happiness and contentment now shows on your very youthful faces. I enjoyed the banter between you. Treasure every moment. Xxx
I will.
Thank you xx
I thoroughly enjoyed this video Helen; omg when you said about moving into your new home and the cats left little friends for you, this happened to me and the fleas fed on me - I was so miserable! You and Rob are a comedy double act, so funny! Thank you for sharing your wedding day photos - very beautiful x
Ah, thank you xx
Loved the video. I have a husband very similar to Rob,a man of few words. I absolutely know how you are feeling being retired and in the house together. I had a year on my own after I retired before my husband retired and it was bliss. It’s challenging being together a lot more than before. ❤❤
It is.
Thank you xx
Oh my word…talking about Letterland took me back too many years…. Annie Apple… Bouncing Ben… Clever cat etc etc ….zig-zag zebra… once learnt, never forgotten!! Xx
I remember someone asking my friend's daughter her name that began with an R and she replied Red Robber! haha xx
Crikey! Hairy Hat Man just jumped into my brain! 😂
@ 🤣🤣
Xx
Glad I'm not alone in the loaded question thing! haha xx
That's lovely. xx
Loved this video Helen. My husband is very much like Rob -pretty quiet. He started working from home a few years ago and thought I would lose my mind. Still not sure about it😊
That's because you've lost your mind... hahaha xx
@@helen6477 When you touch typed were your hands on the keyboard covered with an apron so you couldn’t look down? 🤣
@golfingmags5 lol no they weren’t 😂
@@helen6477 maybe a Scottish thing 🤣🤣🏴
@@golfingmags5when I learnt typing many many moons ago we had an apron over the keys when doing our typing exams.
When I was at school all the letters were blanked out
Just as an aside-we hired a housekeeper to come once a month AFTER I retired (don’t ask me why we waited, but we did) it had been the single most thing that has left me less resentful because I’m not spending my time “keeping house”!
Helen has a big house and a big family that are always going to be wanting her attention, never mind her company. x x x ❤
Getting a good cleaner is almost impossible around here. I've tried a couple but they were useless. So I'll just have to train Rob up! xx
Ah, thank you xx
Oh my word Helen thank you for sharing. I was 22 when I met my husband in March 1973 and three weeks later he told me “we are getting married” we were married in July 1974, as my father insisted we waited a year, we have now been married for 50 years. He has always made me laugh and he still does, I love him to bits even though at times he drives me nuts 🤣.
I have never heard the fact about dry ear wax, it’s very interesting as my husband doesn’t have body odour of any kind and he is the same as Rob and your son-in-law, it’s a very strange phenomenon. 😊😊😊
If Rob didn't make me laugh he'd be dead! haha xx
Hope you're soon up and about, that must be so frustrating. xx
@Helenmaryjo yes it is now that I feel more like myself.
Hels Bells is you. So we can’t go without it ❤
Interesting vlog Helen and proud to be a Hel’s Belle😁 I have started taking Magnesium on the recommendation of Liz Earle for bad sleep in menopause and I have to say I sleep so much better having previously literally only had 3 hours sleep a night so 🤷♀️nice to see good ole Rob again😁
Ah, thank you xx
Hi Helen, I really enjoyed this video …. very interesting and amusing …. 😂 Rob’s recollections of your courting days were so underwhelming 😂. I was also an ‘old fashioned’ bride, married in 1967 at just 21, but I’m blessed to say we are still having to make some adjustments after 57 years together! xx
Haha, thank you.... have to count our blessings really xx
Just watching this I always get emotional about my childhood Helen it was a happy one as well and I left home when I married, young by today’s standards. I think we are emotional as it was such a happy time, I had my parents them and life was simple love all your content
Ah, thank you. I think I get emotional because Dad has gone and I still find that difficult xx
A jolly good video Helen and an interesting insight to your life. I refer to all the changes in life as chapters, how life evolves, it's a very challenging time but it is what you make of it yourself. Lovely to see Rob looking so well....take care 💗😀
Good way to look at it xx
What a lovely surprise Helen. It's like having a chat with a friend.
Some of your experiences echo many other ladies in sure but everyone's life is different too.
Your meeting with the career' s advisor was similar to mine. What would you like to do when leaving school,
I said " a physiotherapist please 😂
She replies, no you can't do that your hopeless at maths. 😂😂.
That was the sixties for you.
You are both a beautiful couple in your wedding photographs,
It's so nice to get to know you a little better.
We retired five years ago and it was totally different being together 24/7. It's like getting to know each other all over again.😂😂
Thanks for sharing Helen & Rob 🌹🌹
It is.
Thank you xx
Lovely video Helen. It’s nice to know a little bit more about you. Rob cracks me up, like you said a man of few words. It’s not easy being in each other’s company 24/7 and it takes a while to get use to. Loved the wedding photos, isn’t it good to look back on and see how far you’ve come and how you have changed. We have been married 50 years next year and I’m hoping to arrange for us to re new our vows on a cruise, the pictures will,be so different. Look forward to the next video as always x
Ah, thank you and congratulations xx
The Q &A was very interesting and i admire you answering some very Personal questions. Rob made me laugh, he is a men of few words.
I think, as we are older now, we certainly would have done things different, but thats why we have a lot of experiences. Good and not so good ones! Love from Germany
Ah, thank you xx
This was just delightful, enjoyed it so much. Thank you for sharing a little of your life with us. Rob is such a lovely quiet gentle man.
Now the dry ear wax thing is so interesting. Maybe Prince Andrew has dry ear wax too, because he doesn't sweat either apparently.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very good! haha xx
Lovely video! We've just had our 46th anniversary and listening to you two was like a mirror image of us! My other half is a man of few words also and if I ask a question I would get the same attitude 😂
Haha, many are the same it seems. xx
Lovely QAnd A, many similarities to me, I am 69. Secretarial college. I was an excellent typist did pitman shorthand like you an was a secretary before I left to have my boys. I hope you have a long and mostly happy retirement xx
Thank you very much xx
You are both brilliant I just loved listening to you and as you are more or less the same age as me and my husband your wedding album is exactly the same as as ours and your photos the same style as we got married in 1975. Just love watching you xx
Ah, thank you xx
Dear Helen I am a subscriber and enjoy your videos especially with your adorable Mum. Hope you don’t mind this question - which magnesium supplement do you take? My husband has IBS and has tried almost everything. Thank you in advance of your answer. You have covered so many subjects and you are so good at everything you do. Keep going forever- lots of love Jan Storey x
Thank you. I take this one: ** amzn.to/3VfmOhR. xx
Thank you for taking the time to respond x
Oh Helen! This video was awesome. I was married at 21. I moved from my parents then also. I must say it was not at all what I thought it would be. Divorce a year and a half later! I now am 65 and have a partner Todd of 30 some odd years. He is also a contractor. ❤ Thank you. 😊
We were so young and inexperienced. But we have grown together and managed to get through all of life's ups and downs so far.
Thank you xx
Course I stuck to the end! Fantastic fun it was too. Yes where do the years go? I feel EXACTLY the same now 30 years on as I did when I married my husband…well apart from feeling much more knackered! 😂 You and Rob are very different for sure…makes it interesting 👍👌🏼 Thanks for this Helen. Mary (Scottish Hel’s Belle living in France) 🤗
Thanks Mary xx
Such a lovely video Helen. You and Rob have so much to be proud of. It was a super watch. And lovely to find out a little more about your lives. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care xx
Our pleasure, thank you xx
I met my husband at 17 he was 20 in 1976 . Engaged 18 & 21, married at 20 & 23… babies 2 years later. Married now for 45 years. Funny how young we were when we got married- it seems to happen in their 30s these days. Fortunately my husband has fishing and golf to keep him occupied otherwise he’d drive me nuts ! Thanks Helen for sharing your memories xx
Ah, thank you xx
Haha, that made me laugh too.
Thank you xx
Oh I loved that it was great, you are so like me and my husband😂 mine hasn't retired yet but I'm dreading it 😂 ahh Rob looks quite a shy person so he did well and you Helen are just great, I thought you looked so much like your daughter when you got married, and fancy your clever mum making your dress, hope she is okxxxxx
Mum is fine thanks.
Rob is not at all shy, but doesn't talk much xx
Enjoyed this very much Helen and Rob. It's nice to listen about other people's lives. Full of allsorts, ups and downs and goes by so quick. You're wedding photos were so lovely. I was married 48 years. My husband was a man of few words. I certainly made up for that. Ha ha. Thank you both.
Ah, thank you xx
So young...
Thank you xx
HB. Thanks for sharing all that, Helen. It was a lovely video and Rob’s a brave man to join in, I can’t imagine my Alan doing that!!
He has no problem doing this stuff. xx
It was the norm back then. xx
Great video Helen, and as always so honest. I used to buy the Letterland magazine for my now 24 yr old daughter, happy memories !!! xx
Ah, thank you xx
Loved getting to know and Rob my hubby and I met when I was 14 and him 15yr old we married just after my 20th and we've been married now almost 57yr we both have separate hobbies .which helps ..lovely couple you are lovely wedding photos love all your videos
Congratulations and thank you xx
Really enjoyed this video Helen and Robs a lovely guy. It was great hearing about your early life and how it progressed into the life you have together today. You make me laugh, and I'm definitely a Hels Belle.x
Glad you enjoyed it xx
Oh Helen this made me laugh out loud. I too married a slow burner but his pilot light went out years ago!! 😂😂
Retirement is hard and when they revert to toddler behaviour it’s even worse!
Hey ho. We’ll muddle through. Stay well. X
Yes, too late to train a new model... haha xx
Very interesting about the magnesium Helen. I too suffer from IBS. I’ve just started taking 300mg in the evening so fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Hope it works for you xx
I really enjoyed your Q and A video Helen - well I enjoy all of them! Plus it's lovely to find out a bit more about you and Rob. Please can you remind me which magnesium supplements you take and how much? Thank you.
Thanks Kathy. I take this one: amzn.to/3VfmOhR. One after dinner xx
Helen, I remember my first Christmas Eve after getting married. I came home and cried because it was so quiet with no cooking smells of mince pies etc; just me and my husband. Thankfully, that changed once the children came along.
Oh crikey, we went back to Mum every Christmas until we had children.... and then we still went a couple fo times xx
Loved this Helen ! I can’t wait for my hubby to retire but he has been in the Navy and now NATO so looking forward to him being home all the time ! Thanks for all the tips and hints throughout the year 🙏
Thank you xx
Two lovely people and a lovely family. You have built a very good life together with hard work, love, loyalty and patience. Owl and lark, day and night , Yin and Yang ☯️ Appreciate your differences and enjoy your retirement ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! xx
Sorry..my third comment 😝
Rob is a man of few words..very much like my own husband, but also like him I’m sure, pure gold!
And thanks
Xxxx
They really don't. But I think that's because he has never actually seen what I do, because he was always at work.... But equally he thinks he does it better than I have ever done! It can be frustrating but we are getting there... slowly by surely. haha xx
@ so true--- he always does it…..properly 😱 not 😂
Hi Helen really enjoyed the Q&A with Rob. You two are great together and you make me chuckle on the things you say. I always think Billy looks like Rob. Lovely wedding photo too. I love Hel’s Belles Helen do keep it going.. thanks for sharing love Jackie xx
Thank you very much xx
Oh my, that all sounds very familiar xx
This was fun helen! So funny when Rob was saying what his first impression of you was😂....men can drive you mad at times can't they?!😊.....but he is adorable at the same time 😉😉❤❤xx
I never know what he is going to say and I would never in a million years guessed that...haha xx
Aw Helen that was a lovely watch.
Believe it or not my husband is exactly like Rob and your son in law as far as sweat/dry earwax, who knew that what even a thing! How interesting.
Also I would love o be a guest at your celebrity dinner table what a fab guest list. X
Ah, thank you xx
Thank you very much xx
I enjoyed this vlog, always enjoy your chats , loved seeing the wedding photos you were a beautiful bride with a handsome husband and you are still a good looking couple hope you get many more happy years together, we had our 63 rd anniversary this week and I just don't know where all the years have gone, x
Huge congratulations!
Thank you xx
Such a lovely video. Rob maybe a man of a few words but he is sort of put on the spot so doesn’t want to give the wrong answer. Such a Cute couple and lovely to see your Wedding photo.
Would be great to do a haul in your hall for Rob one day 😁.
He is unpredicatble that's for sure xx
The scarf looks lovely. Listening to you about your working history has reminded me of all the things I did that were so similar to your work life. Guess it was the way of life then. Xx
I think so.
xx
Absolutely enjoyed this. I too am married to a man of few words and yes it can be frustrating at times but the respect level each other and the 4 beautiful adult children we have ....so grateful. Exemplary Father.❤
Absolutely. Thank you xx
XX
Wow, congratulations!
Thank you xx
Oh Helen, our husbands are the same!!!!!…but like you & Rob, my husband & I have been together 50 years…but I am sure we wouldn’t swap them!!!!!!xx
No, of course not. Haven't managed to train Rob in 46 years, don't have time to start with a new model! hahaxx
I think you sum up most retired couples. It does get easier...... you can both have a laugh which is very important. Really enjoyed the video.
Laughing saves us.
Xxx
Thank you very much xx
Another great video Helen thank you. Poor Rob is not as comfortable as you have become in front of the camera 😂 but still lovely to see you both and hear your story 🤗
He is fine, that's just who he is. xx
Really enjoyed this video Helen. I too didn’t comment on other people’s TH-cam because they never bothered to answer but you always do which is lovely. 👏👏
Oh, thank you xx
