Quick blast on the Duke enjoying some nice weather! Bike: 2018 KTM Duke 690 - A2 (32kW - 47HP) Leovince Decat Leovince Slip-on 15 tooth front sprocket Gear: GoPro Hero 8 Black Zoom H1n
@@bikepipes Just got the bike and love it only a few things that takes some getting used too. 1) The kickstands design and function on this bike makes me feel like its going to tip over lol. I am sitting on it and I am contemplating how I get off the bike once I find the kickstand and use it ? 2) This girl shakes and boggs anytime I am under 4k rpms. Some people just deal with it and others say that an o2 dongle makes a world of difference to curve the bogging at lower rpms. Have you had any issues with that ?
@@JohnRivera-c7w The kickstand makes the bike sit quite upright indeed, never had particular issues with that but you're right, it's not leaning much. As for the bogging at low RPMs, this is what I did: - First and foremost, I switched the front sprocket for a 15-tooth one, instead of 16. This makes the bike so much more enjoyable at low RPM and makes it much more punchy overall. Costs 30€/$ - I decated mine which with a leovince decat which also made it much more "gentle" at low RPMs. (No remap) I would advise to add the KevO2 mod when doing this so that you ensure your bike isn't running too lean. These few changes transform the bike to what it should've been out of the factory
I'm getting a 2017 white duke 690 in two days, i'm so excited at the idea of going brapping around ;) The bike features a powerparts akrapovic slip on and i'm already adding items to the basket for a future upgrade
is that a 2016 ? I just got mine out of the shop , replaced damaged stator , rectifier and battery, . No one can tell me how the stator burnt out.... Does yours burn up oil ? Generally very happy with it ... be well
It is a 2018, should be the same engine as yours though. It does burn up a bit of oil but nothing major, I generally topped off the oil level every 2500km. I was very happy with it! I just changed it for a 890 Duke, which is also fantastic! Ride safe ✌️
Yep baffle still in, would be way too loud otherwise. It sounds much much better than stock, it might not feel like that on video but it sure does in person
This is what a motorcycle is supposed to sound like.
Such a lovely bike! I have -17 in white. Love it!
Sounds amazing that grunty deep growl is what a proper exhaust should sound like. Can't wait to get my 2017 690 this week.
You'll love it man, amazing bike!
@@bikepipes Thank you upgrading from an r3, will the ride and power be very noticeable I ride more street commute to work, back roads ?
@@JohnRivera-c7w Absolutely mate, the 690 pulls hard from down low and the power up top is vey nice, especially considering how light the bike is

Very good acquisition mate, you're gonna love it! The lightweight combined with the torque of the single cylinder is a blast on the road.
Enjoy!! ✌️
@@bikepipes will do man, cheers!
I just bought one too and have stock exhaust. With only the slip on will it sound more deep or if it's not full system there's not much difference?
i had a same feeling every time when i ride my 69. regards from malaysia!
Cheers mate ✌️

Sounds almost stock? Does it have the baffle in?
