It looks like you got one of the copies that was sold in the '80s, because that book they advertise in the LWB was not available until 1984 or 1985. But that version has to be one of my favourite reprintings, better than the original one that came out in 1970!
I love the synchronicity with this post almost as much as the content! I am an Aquarius who was welcomed into the world in 1970 so I guess that makes me vintage! xo
We had a Walden Books store in my town in the late 70's early 80's that stocked tarot & the like but other than that you could get an order sheet list (no pics) from U.S. Games ...
My dad had this original deck from 1970 and they were the 1st cards I ever read and always had a connection with them . My dad passed away 2 years ago and today my mom gifted me my dad's cards which I treasure ❤️ I have just noticed that the booklet I have is a stapled version and not a pull out , they are well worn and the box looks very old , definatly adds to the mystical vintage vibe x
I pulled this old deck out not too long ago and looked at it for probably the first time since the early 80's. I think it was the second or third deck I had ever bought and I didn't use it very often after I purchased it. I was fairly new to tarot and never connected with any of the court cards. I probably have the book that went with it somewhere which I think I will look for this afternoon. I am curious to read the card descriptions after watching your video which I enjoyed very much.
I do love the Aquarian Tarot! I came upon a vintage copy from 1984 and I treasure it. The current day version looks very similar, but the backs have a white border around them, sadly. Fun seeing your reaction to this deck.
It was around 1976/77 - I'd been reading about tarot for couple of years when a friend gifted me a well-battered copy of the Aquarian Tarot. I still wonder at the sheer amount of use that deck must have had to get it to that state in that space of time. I loved the style, the colours, but I don't think I was ready for the in-your-face intensity of the "zoomed in" images with just a shorthand 'nod' to RWS, so I went to the big book store in the university district and bought **the other** tarot that was available, a yellow box RWS. 😊 A little while ago I decided I wanted to have a nice, clean copy of the Aquarian so I went hunting and found a lightly-used 80s copy on eBay. 💙 I appreciate the "oldies", so I, too, like to go on eBay to look for old tarot decks from time to time.
This was my first deck! have a first edition with the light pink oroborus on back, and something about the expressive art style speaks to me more than any other deck I’ve ever seen. I’m just missing the instruction booklet. Thanks for sharing your deck with us.
It is such a breath of fresh air to see you on my feed!!!! I’m so happy and I loved this video! 😍😍 Vintage decks are such a treat to have and go through. I do the same thing just admiring them card by card. Thank you for sharing this with us!
So glad to see you! I've been looking for new videos from you for awhile. Glad to see you are doing well although we don't know each other you have been pivotal in my journey through Tarot the past few years I just don't comment on many things and have no other social media other than TH-cam.
I've got the current mini deck in a tin. Quite nice. Palladini wasn't too familiar with RWS when he made this deck, yet I prefer it to his later reworked Palladini deck.

Can I ask a question friend?

This is such a great story. There's something really special about an old battered deck! Thanks for sharing :)
