Reducing glucose and only eating between 12 am and 8 pm did the trick for me. I've never been overweight, but I had been gaining weight steadily so I wanted to figure out how to lose it again.
This is a very helpful video. I don't think I actually learned any NEW information, but the way it was presented pulled a lot together for me. I am so glad for that. I am saving this so I can easily come back to it. Thank you.
Doctor I was misdiagnosed with psychosis and was put on many antipsychotics for 5 months. And I lost my imagination because of that. I stopped taking antipsychotics 5 and half months ago. Do I get my imagination back? How long does it take?? And why did it stop working??
Actually bodyweight exercises for overweight individuals might be harder than using gym weights/machines. Trying to force dips or pull ups can even cause injury, and there are appropriate regressions (e.g. band-assisted pull ups) that should be tried first.
That's an interesting perspective, we find it very easy to modify bodyweight exercises with chair / stool and feet (for dips) for example. But it's a good point.
Hello S - there is fasting in the old / biblical / hardcore sense where days (or more) are skipped. For most people in the 2nd half of life, the risk vs reward is not there for this. Then there is meal timing which some people call fasting, basically giving your body a 12-16 break between last and first meal. If these tricks work for you without suffering and starvation, do it... for many people it's a very simple fix. But if you're hungry all the time it's hard to maintain. re: whole foods. Yes, pretty much consensus on that one. Whole foods = good idea. Keep going!
Great video and some really good advice. Just a couple of queries: short walk after meals - approx time would be helpful. Also, is it soluble or insoluble fibre before meals or a combination? Thank you so much
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful. For short walks aim for about 10-15 minutes and as for fiber before meals, it's generally recommended to include a combination of soluble and insoluble fiber in your diet
It's not really about good/bad, it's just we all have different and changing bodies. In an attempt to rev up basal metabolic rate, people have used everything from caffeine to amphetamines to excessive exercise. With every few exceptions, this has not produced great results and often backfires.
Whole food plant based! It works perfectly!
All excellent advice. I would, however, also suggest to significantly reduce fast food and processed foods.

Isn't slow metabolism good? It slows down ageing
A slow metabolism causes me to gain weight like crazy while eating a really small amount of food for an adult human. I cannot see how that is good.

Tha t is a theory, yes, it's very hard to confirm / negate the theory.
